2021 was definitely one hell of a ride. There were a lot of great moments and a fair share of struggles. I got hospitalized, moved to a new home, got a new job, had another Psoriasis flare-up, met new friends, and have grown as a person. I actually had a lot more to add to the list, but those were just some of the highlights and low points of my year. I know it has been tough for most of us with the virus still out there, mutating, the typhoon leaving a trail of devastation, and not to mention the incompetence of this government. I just really hope you are still hanging in there.
I posted this on my IG account last year but just forgot to also post it here on my blog. ┏( ̄▽ ̄)┛
The first quarter of my 2022 has been okay so far. Though there were times I felt like my days have been repetitive, like all I did was sleep, eat, work, repeat. But yeah, I guess that’s inevitable since I’m at home most of the time. It's just a phase and it’ll pass. Anyway, here’s just a quick update on what has been happening this first quarter:
Ever since the year started, I haven’t bought any ceramic/stoneware pieces. It’s like I’ve suddenly lost interest in collecting more mugs/cups ever since I hit a total of 102 pieces already. Also because of this, I've been able to save more! (≧∀≦;)
I’ve been into reading mangas since I started reading my first manga in December of last year. I’ve finished 6 already—Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Chainsaw Man, ReLIFE, Blue Hearts, I sold my life for ten thousand yen per year, My Little Monster—and I have a lot of ongoing series that are still not completed yet.
I'm trying to use film every chance that I get. I really want to document events and my travel getaways using this medium, but I was shocked by the prices of film stocks nowadays. Soooo, I have to make sure my shots would be worthwhile!
I have a pile of TBR books here! I’ve already started reading a few pages from 3 out of 7 books, but I just couldn’t bring myself to continue and finish them. I already told myself that I will get back into reading last year. What happened now? Meh.
The first week of this year, Asis and I got sick. We had the flu, with symptoms similar to omicron, but we didn't get tested for COVID because the antigen/PCR tests were too pricey. So, we both self-quarantined. It was the same with my friends, workmates, and family. It was like every citizen of the Philippines had the flu then. I was also grateful for my company because they sent an EG care kit—pulse oximeter, thermometer, rapid antigen kit, medicines/vitamins, masks, alcohol, betadine gargle. It was really timely! Grateful for EG! By the way, we were also boosted! Yay!
I finally opened an investment-linked life insurance. I know, I know, better late than never. I really need to save up now and be wise with money. This is still a work in progress.
Kaye, Madchen, and Andrei’s birthday event celebration; EG fam lunch-out/overnight (will post a separate blog)
La Union getaway with Asis (will post a separate blog)
So, that’s about it. We are already scheduled for passport renewal tomorrow and we will also visit my parents after. It’s already Sunday! Back to work again tomorrow. Okay, I've got to get back to reading To Your Eternity manga. I'm almost done with the last volume. I'm just sad that the next volume is still TBA. Laters! x
