개인의 시공간에 대한 궁금증에서부터 시작된 작품으로 절대적인 공간(absolute space)과 상대적인 시간(relative time)이 만나 이루어지는 나의 4차원 공간을 기록한 작품이다. 개인의 가치관, 관심사, 성격, 그때의 상황에 따라 달라지는 심리적 시간의 축은 우리의 시공간을 수축, 팽창시키며 2차원적인 우리의 발자취를 다차원으로 치환시키는 요소라고 생각했다. 양방의 빛 사이로 은은하게 보이는 실��� 꿈을 쫒아 성장하는 우리들이 남긴 기록을 돌아보고, 무의식적으로 맺고 있던 관게의 소중함을 다시 생각하게 하는 취지를 담고 있다.

This project was started from the curiosity of individual’s time and space. It is the one which records my four-dimensional space where absolute space and relative time meet. The axis of psychological time, which depends on individual values, interests, personality, and the situation at that time, is a factor that shrinks and expands our time and space. Also, it is a multidimensional substitute for our two-dimensional footsteps. The silvery thread between the lights reflects the record of our growth following our dreams and reminds us of the importance of the unconscious mind.

/Individual

우선, 개인의 4차원 공간이 시간 큐브와 공간 큐브의 만남이라고 정의하였다. 시간 큐브의 3개의 축을 물리적 시간, 생리적 시간, 심리적 시간으로 나누었고 여기서 앞의 두 축, 물리적, 생리적 시간이 절대적이라면 심리적 시간의 상대성으로 인해 개인이 정의된다고 보았다. 공간 큐브는 x,y,z 축으로 이루어져 있다. 그리고 두 큐브의 만남과 그 각도에 따라 ‘Individuality’ 가 정의된다고 보았다. 

First, I defined an individual’s four-dimensional space as a meeting of a time cube and a space cube. The three axes of the time cube are divided into physical time, physiological time, and psychological time, where individuals are defined by the relativity of psychological time if the preceding two axes, physical and physiological time are absolute. Space cube consists of x, y and z axes. And I believe that ‘Individuality’ is defined according to the meeting of the two cubes and their angles.

/Relationship

개개인의 큐브들이 겹침으로써 발생하는 우리의 관계를 실현해 보았고 그 복잡함을 보았다.
