This is still a work in progress - I have caps of other relatives who aren’t here, but because I’m trying to have a equal portion of Carrieri’s & Scozzari’s (specifically to show who looks like who on what side of the family) this is what I’m comfortable posting for now. 😂
So here we have
Rosinha Carrieri - Mother to Francisco and Morena Carrieri.  Concetta Scozzari - Mother to Stefani, Ignazia, and Giovanni (who is not on here atm)  Morena Carrieri - Sister to Francisco, mother to Leonardo (not on here atm) and Tiago Ignazia Scozzari - Sister to Stefani and Giovanni, mother to Apollonia  Tiago Carrieri - Son to Morena and younger brother to Leonardo  Apollonia Scozzari - Daughter to Ignazia   Francisco Carrieri - Partner to Stefani Scozzari. Father of Sonia, Salvatore, and Rosaria. Stefani Scozzari - Partner to Francisco Carrieri. Mother of Sonia, Salvatore, and Rosaria. Salvatore Scozzari - Middle child. Boyfriend to Eve Littlejohn. Eve Littlejohn - Girlfriend to Salvatore, daughter to Linda Littlejohn (not present) Rosaria Scozzari- Youngest child. Sonia Scozzari - Oldest child.

Rosaria’s ambition to be the best she can be stems from a guilty complex she has when it comes to her family, but more specifically her siblings. From eighteen to her early twenties, she learns the extent Sal and Sonia have tried to protect and nurture her. Sonia protected her from perverted boys and adults. Sal would deliberately fight his uncle so any anger about Rosie’s actions so she wouldn’t get hurt among other things.
The Scozzari are working-class; no one in her mom’s generation ever went to college, so even when it came to her older relatives they doted on Rosaria for how intelligent she was and how she was the pride of the family. Even if Stefani lived, she would constantly brag about Rosie being smart, world-changing, degree-holding.
This put a lot of pressure on her to excel and, more or less, one day have kids who can continue to excel so the family officially becomes respectable, upper class Americans.
But more than that, when Rosaria thinks of how Sal and Sonia did so much to ensure she was happy and safe, she feels like if she doesn’t take advantages of opportunities they don’t have then her siblings suffered for nothing.
So the result is she takes on too much. She overwhelms herself a lot. As a college student or worker she is not always in-tune with life going on around her, and she is not even always in-tune with her body. It’s only when she is exhausted, burnt out, and depressed when she realizes that its not solely her ambition keeping her going, its her deep worry about failing her family and disappointing them.

When it comes to his sisters, Louis tends to be smothered in affection. Well, Bianca shamelessly gives him love while Cassandra gives tough(ish) love. Like, “I love you, ya lil dumbass ://” The affection (and invasiveness) of his older sisters becomes too much for him to handle, easily. At the end of the day, they’re treating him like a baby. Then, when it comes to Nick, Louis is overwhelmed and agitated by his long-winded stories of how things use to be when he was ‘running Brooklyn.’ But more than that, I’m realizing Nick and Louis are different in so many ways (that partially stems from the age gap between them).
Nick is a very traditional guy, even in regards to Catholicism. He takes midnight mass seriously during the holidays and potentially uses the confessional as a form of therapy (without disclosing his bloody information, ofc) Meanwhile, Louis doesn’t believe in Christianity. He believes in higher beings, spirits, demons, etc. and he doesn’t believe that one religion is right while all others are supposedly wrong.
Nick A L W A Y S tries to install traditional beliefs into Louis. More than that, he wants Louis to take certain matters seriously. And Louis always thinks to himself, “no.”

MUN QUESTIONS.
Q1 :   if  you  could  write  your  character  your  way  in  their  own  movie ,   what  would  it  be  called ,  what  style  would  it  be  filmed  in ,  and  what  would  it  be  about ?       A1 : Recently I decided that if/when I try to write anything serious about Eve again, it’ll center on her being a jewel thief because it presents me more fun, and emotionally diverse, opportunities. That and I have a very specific cover image in my mind. Ideally, her adventures would be a series of books. I have no title in mind, no idea about how ‘it would be filmed’ ( although a style replicating 90s films would be excellent, film grain and all. ) but, I do have a bunch of plots in mind that I really don’t feel like typing out here.
Q2 :   what  would  their  soundtrack / score  sound  like ?         A2 :  Her score would have a vintage sound (or a jazzy Spike Lee sound, if you will) with instrumentals by Dorothy Ashby (a Jazz Harpist) the Ahmad Jamal Trio, Pharaoh Sanders, Yusef Lateef and Tarika Blue. For music with lyrics, the soundtrack would include the likes of Julie London, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dionne Warwick.
Q3 :   why  did  you  start  writing  this  character ?   + Q4 :   what  first  attracted  you  to  this  character ? A3 :  Whenever I make NPCs for my character’s lives I actually can’t just let them just be NPCs. I start thinking about them too much. Developing them too much. And then I’m like, ‘wow! I really like this character!’ Eve was a different character when I began writing her, and likely wouldn’t be considered the same character as she was previously, if I told someone in real life who knows about my writing (like my grandma) about all the changes she has undergone. Originally Delores was a university professor, because I thought it could lead to interesting interactions with college-age muses. And her previous history with the mafia was also something interesting to tap in. But then I started thinking about what was realistic, what wasn’t realistic, what did I feel comfortable/interested writing? What didn’t I feel comfortable/interested in writing?  So as time went on, things would alter about this character. And the new things I came up with attracted me more.
Q5 :   describe  the  biggest  thing  you  dislike  about  your  muse.         A5 :  I have a love/hate relationship with Eve’s quiet demeanor. On one hand, I think quieter characters need love and the ability to be fully dimensional but on the other hand, writing louder characters has always been more fun for me. But really, Eve’s guarded behavior makes writing her stressful in some cases with others because sometimes...if I’m going to be honest...people don’t know how to carry a thread and interact with someone of her demeanor effectively.
Q6 :   what  do  you  have  in  common  with  your  muse ?       A6 : We’re both black, we’re both into art (although our exact interests and aesthetics with art differ)
Q7 :   how  does  your  muse  feel  about  you ?         A7 : Realistically she would think I need to take better care of myself.
Q8 :   what  characters  does  your  muse  have  interesting  interactions with ?   A8 :  We skippin’ this question.
Q9 :   what  gives  you  inspiration  to  write  your  muse ?       A9 : Films such as, “Waiting to Exhale,” “The Kitchen” and “Widows.” Books by Alice Walker, like “The Third Life of Grange Copeland” as well as her short story, “Roselily.” The historical mob figure Stephanie St. Clair.
Q10 :   how  long  did  this  take  you  to  complete ?       A10 : A few hours.

--SALVATORE & WORK.
DON CANNIZARO  gained his fortune through bootlegging, fencing, protection rackets, and of course, money laundering. The years would cause him to become greedy. He continued sucking the life out of small, Italian businesses in the 60s, pushed boundaries when it came to territory distribution, and additionally took on the unhonorable trades of drug and sex trafficking. Eventually, the Family possessed enough money that they could give out ‘loans’ to poor men down on their luck.    Children were kidnapped when debts could not be repaid on time, loved ones were tortured and men whose only crime had been being poor would end up dying. These were terrible years, as it showed that this long-standing Family was not worth respect.     SALVATORE - who had yet to become Don Scozzari, eventually developed better ideas for what the family could ultimately become under ‘new management.’ His first idea had been for the men born to only one Italian parent to be welcomed in the flock, as he acknowledged that America caused men and women from different European ethnicities to mingle. Sal felt this would mean that someone with ‘pure’ Italian blood would be hard to find by the 1990s, at best. For lack of a better word, Don Cannizaro thought his protege was wildin’.    But needless to say, when Salvatore came into power in 2000 he was deemed problematic. There was a large stigma on him for his choice in marriage and frankly, the other Dons of New York wanted nothing to do with him. They wanted him to choke and fall due to a lack of resources. Salvatore, thinking outside of the box as usual, decided to form alliances with non-Italian groups. The Irish, The Blacks, The Cartels. And with his endless charisma: the Don of Manhattan’s crime family came around and they developed a solid bond. Slowly, three remaining Dons accepted Sal.      What was also deemed impressive by them was how Salvatore rearranged the Cannizaro Family.  The old timers were replaced, he still trafficked heroin and cocaine - but let go of the dirty theaters, sex trafficking, and invested money in actual businesses that could bloom and thrive. No more children were kidnapped: the Cannizaro Family yet again became the respectable Crime Family had been in Prohibition. But, he never dismissed his non-Italian ties once the money was pouring in.         Salvatore feels that the government would consider him a mafioso. As that is what the Cannizaro Family started out being and he is not excluded from meetings with the other Families. In addition to that, the organization’s core members are all of Italian descent. So yes, they could be defined as a mafia. However, when it comes to work itself, Sal sees himself as different. He is doing things that other Families are not. He is focused on money, not any sort of tradition. And to stay relevant, you have to modernize.      Because the cosa nostra has been steadily fading from relevance, and frankly, replaced by other forms of organized crime: Sal has no idea what will happen to  the Cannizaro Family after he dies. But at the same time? He is not worried about it. He did what he had to do, he made his money, and all of his relatives are well-off, now.

THE TIME NICK SAVED CASSANDRA'S LIFE #1
Nick may have hung around sketchy boys as a teen, but there were still some guys he just didn't like. He didn't have to know them on any personal level, he would just get those bad vibes. Cassandra's first boyfriend was no exception to this. Nick was vocal about his disdain, but Cass - asserting that she was older, ignored him. One night, when she planned to go to a party with him in Queens, Nick tried convincing her to stay home. He even claimed that he was gonna tell their mom. But Cass ignored him.
He never told Delores. Because he’s not a snitch.
Hours later, Cass was calling her home's phone number and hoping Nick would answer the phone instead of their mom. Lucky for her, Nick was ordered to answer the phone because Delores was having a nice, Waiting To Exhale-esque night with her friends.
On the phone, Cass was whispering in secret about how things were getting really weird and tense at the party and she didn't know how to come home without making the boys mad, so Nick put on his shoes, tucked away Sal's handgun into his belt, and claimed to Delores that his friend needed him - and Delores' friends convinced her to not argue and investigate further. 'He was just being a boy. Boys always have somebody to see.'
At this point in Nick's life, he never killed anyone before but he told himself he would do it if he had to. By the time he got to the apartment building - a fight had ensued between two other boys, a gun was whipped out (but not his) and the usually tough, feisty Cassandra was hiding in the bathtub trying to stay incognito. She only came out of the bathroom when she heard her brother's voice. Nick didn't have to kill anyone, but he did have to do a lot of shit talking and wave Sal's gun to ward the other guy's off. Ultimately, by the time the siblings were outside of the building he was angrily nagging her. Mocking her for hiding in a bathtub too. Their argument turned explosive as Cassandra told him he wasn't their DAD, he was her BABY BROTHER and he needed to get off her back. So Nick angrily responded that their dad wasn't around anymore, and he had to hold shit down.
On the way back to Brooklyn, they didn't say a word to each other.

I forget if I ever wrote this, on this specific blog, but bc of the sims I’ve been thinking of how things would be if Angie and Sal were in the same age group as cousins and it kind of makes more sense than the dynamic of Angie and elderly Sal being cousins. because I knew elderly Sal was stressed when she came around, and he also thought of her as a literal troll, and those sort of feelings come across more naturally when I think of Sal being a younger guy.
It’s interesting because the Scozzari are broke af when Sal’s young. His mom, aunt, uncle, and grandparents are all more or less losers in some way for various reasons. Angie, however, would have been the breadwinner for the entire family at a young age because of how her mother forced her to go into Hollywood. Angie kept small portions of her money and the rest would go to relatives for groceries, bills, rent, birthdays, etc.
While this was miserable for Angie, Sal would have been jealous of her because she’s so successful. Angie seems to be like a adult when she’s only eight years old. And everybody loves her! Sal didn’t think she was that great. Angie didn’t make matters easier, because she did rub her Hollywood adventures in her cousin’s face.
But still, growing up in poverty -basically- would impact her a lot. She’s always wanted to be a part of a family she was proud of, she wants to talk about how great the Scozzaris are, but there’s really nothing to boast and brag about. She’s also still never felt like she had any control in her youth because she was acting for a lot of reasons other than personal joy. ( she thought her mom would love her - she knew her family depended on her )
Angie still wouldn’t glamorize local criminals though. She doesn’t see organized crime as a way to elevate herself. She doesn’t want to be an Italian-American mother, either. She just wants to do what she wants to do.

–NEW MUSE, JERROLD SIMMS. (also known as, Old Man #3)
Tumblr media
Jerrold - called Jerry for short. Born and raised in Brooklyn. Probably from Red Hook.
His childhood is troubling, but he has a extroverted, upbeat demeanor. Sometimes it’s a front. Sometimes it’s not. His mom? She was a crack addict. His dad? Abusive af. The old man use to be charming though, but then he went to war, got PTSD and things spiraled out of control. Eventually, his mom ran away.
She got way healthier over time, moved to California, got married and even had a baby. Jerry found out through one of his maternal relatives that let it slip and it fucked him up for awhile. He’s kind of made amends with her now, but it was rough. Really rough.
He use to love to dance and entertain, but his dad found it questionable and would usually beat him for having fun, if we’re going to be honest.
His dad watched a lot of mafia films, The Godfather and shit. Jerry can recite those movies by heart. He was one of those guys who always thought Italian organized crime was so cool.
Often use to hang out outside Maronna’s pizzeria with other boys, up to no good shit. That’s how he and Nick met.
He was a robber back then - stole things from other kids and then sold them for cash. He even got Nick his first, personal gun.
Was surprised Nick was half-white tbh! He first met Sal when Sal was driving around looking for Nick and he was stunned. Until that point Jerry never went to Bed-Stuy or Nick’s home. They only hung out in specific areas.
Eventually, Jerry started going to the Scozzari home to not just hang with Nick, but to hang out with Sal. He started calling Delores mom. She use to feel so sorry for him and always had food for him to take home.
Generally, he’s always received enormous advice from both of them.
He was married once, his wife got murdered he wears her wedding ring as a necklace.
Is a full-fledged associate of the Cannizaro crime family. :/ And I mean, by the time Sal dies, its men like him that become 100% made when Delores reigns.
