Ok I'm gonna try and be less mean about Reborn's story this time I swear. I do genuinely have fun with this game. It's a fan project and I don't want to be an asshole.

That being said I was talking about this earlier but I wish Reborn was more authentic with it's story. I mean, I know Amethyst wasn't as into it by the end and wanted to do her own original game, but I feel like I'd really enjoy Reborn more if the story just owned it's darker themes and didn't undercut a lot of moments with comedy.

Like, the opening train crash. Instantly after it happens, Ame gets sad for two seconds before Julia comes in and goes "HAHA I'm the funny bomb character LMAO This bombing could've been sooo much better if it was me XD" and Ame is like "Juliaaaa are you sureee it wasn't you :)" and she's like "haha NO not this time I do bombings so much cooler than this" and it's like. I would care so much more about this opening if the characters seemed like they cared about the literal mass murder that just happened.

And that's not to say you can't or shouldn't put memes in your Pokemon fangame or anything. I love games that can be both very darkly serious and comedic. But you gotta know the time and the place for comedy, basically. If every time a death or serious moment happens, someone goes "well THAT happened lmao random non-sequitur", it just kinda takes me out of it. It comes across like the characters just don't care about what's happening, and if the characters don't care, then why should I care as the player?

I've been seeing some people post more about Rejuv ships and it's made me realize I don't think a lot of people have heard about my favorite ship. Samber! Anyways I'm gonna be insane about them under the cut.

Honestly, Styx deserves more credit than just making the art I drew you in with, they're also responsible for even coming up with Samber in the first place. Initially the ship wasn't much more than "hey these two kinda hate each other it would be funny if they kissed lol" but it kinda grew into being more than that. Especially when we started to consider Chapter 15 stuff.

I'm not gonna post the full thing here, but Amber literally jumping in to Saki's nightmare realm to comfort her after she relives the horror of what the androids did to her, and actually pull her out of that spiraling anxiety is so good? Not to mention how Amber was there to yell at Hazuki when she wanted Saki to fucking kill her grandpa. And just like, they care about each other? Actually? Truthfully I like the whole Gearen Fire Trio being friends again, but I think Amber and Saki being able to be more than friends afterwards is really nice.

Just the thought of them going "You know, Venam is REALLY getting too smug about being the only one of us dating, how about we fix that?" and then actually genuinely starting to get romantic feelings for each other when initially doing dumb romantic stuff to annoy Venam. Like I know Saki is in the fucking pod and Venam and Melia are broken up rn so the timeline doesn't quite work out but like walk with me to this pier. Walk with me on this one to see the vision.

Also the idea of Saki just being a massive hater for Amber for years to cover the fact she actually has a massive crush on her is honestly fucking hilarious. If a rivalry lasts longer than 5 years you are no longer beefing, you're just gay!!!!! It's why I make so many memes and draw dumb shit with them together! Bc I think they should kiss!!!

Like I'm just putting this out there to get people to like start thinking about it, consider it, I think they're really cute together.

Video games, absolutely. Though this more so consciously happens with music/soundtracks rather than art. I often get a leitmotif in my head out of nowhere and im just sitting there like "am i SURE i haven't heard this somewhere else before" when i can't place it almost immediately

8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in

For people who know me from wayyyyy back during my Deviantart days, I had an old MMD comic (if you know, you know! and no, you cannot find it anymore) that I had thought of rebooting in some shape or form, but I've lost interest in it because I wanted to focus on other projects instead. Maybe one day I'll dust it off and give it a proper scrubbing so it doesn't have a million plot holes and bad storytelling anymore LOL

Meh, they're pretty basic. Usually it's the name of the character/thing I'm drawing or for what project it's for, though there are some exceptions to this (most notably w/ my filenames for stuff I do for Rejuv or pkmn as a whole LOL). For example,

Amber teaches MC how to play musical instruments, assuming MC doesn't know how to play any. There are a couple pause times in the main story where this can happen.

At the end of the 'Hero of Slime' quest, MC and Goomink re-enact the "I tip my hat to you, one legend to another" meme from Rango (2011).

20. What got me into Rejuv?

I always knew that Rejuv existed, around the same time as I first heard about Reborn years before I played that. After I beat Reborn, months later I checked the Rejuv general chat in Reborn Evolved out of curiosity, spoiled myself on some things out of morbid curiosity due to not knowing why the game was not running on my Mac (turns out i just had to enable Rosetta), but after that, I got into the game, shared my reactions with the friends that roped me into it, and the rest is history. This was back in January of 2023.
