Leopard gecko: Where is your calm space?

My calm space is definitely curled up in my blankets with coffee and some type of entertainment, be it reading or writing or playing video games.

uhhhh no. that being said my favorite type of insect (from far away) is the praying mantis! they’re just cool looking.

Coffee, definitely. Preferably iced.

I’ve never named any of the pets I’ve had, they always just had names. BUT when I get a cat it will 100% be named after an author. It just depends on the cat’s personality.

Urgent: i'm getting my wisdom teeth out on Friday and i'm really scared of outing myself accidentally after the surgery. do you know of any way to avoid this, or if it's even a thing that can happen?

I don’t think it’s likely, as I haven’t heard about anyone accidentally coming out while wisdom teeth are being removed, but even if you did, you could deny it after and say it was just the drugs making you say it because you were confused or thought it’d be funny and it was on your mind because you saw it in the news or something. 

When I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out, I didn’t do or say anything weird. I just asked for anesthesia for my wisdom teeth, no laughing gas, and that might be part of it. I also didn’t do or say anything weird after top surgery or my hysterectomy. I just was tired, I didn’t say much, and when we got home I went to sleep. That was pretty much it. Nothing to write home about.

I think that a lot of the time online or in TV you do see people doing embarrassing stuff, and that’s because it’s interesting or funny, not because the majority of people respond that way. For every viral video of someone acting silly, there’s probably many many more people who didn’t react that way so there was no reason to film them or their video didn’t get as many notes. Similarly, in TV shows they act funny because it’s a plot point- if the character got their wisdom teeth removed and nothing happened, then there’s no reason to include it, so they have to make it interesting. 

Sidenote- don’t bind during anything when you’re under anesthesia!

You don’t have in-depth conversations. I was quiet, for the most part, and when I did speak, it was about nothing– sometimes gibberish. You sober up pretty fast, too. Seriously, you wake up, they drag you to a room and sit you down for awhile, you feel really weird and your mouth is awkward, your parent(s)/guardian(s) come(s) to get you, and by the time you get out to the car, you’re almost well enough to actively make thoughts into words.

Not a big deal like in movies or on the internet. At least from my experience and ones I’ve witnessed and heard from friends and family. You shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

If you look up post-wisdom teeth videos on the internet, you’ll notice that no one is going to take you seriously while you’re waking up from sedation. I’m pretty sure I woke up and immediately started crying and asking if they could put my teeth back. If you say anything that alludes to you being trans, everyone is likely going to laugh it off.

All I really wanted to do was go to sleep after surgery, and when I woke up afterwards, the drugs had completely worn off, and I hadn’t said anything. So I wouldn’t worry about it, anon, you’ll be more than okay. :)

Now, you may be prescribed different drugs than me, but it’s not going to make you loopy like the videos on Facebook. They don’t put you on enough drugs to make you that loopy normally. Laughing gas just numbs and relaxes, and the pills they prescribe you after are mainly just for pain and antibiotics. The worst it should do is make you sleepy.
