Subaru Sakamaki's Favorite Music

A/N: To hype up the upcoming Subaru fanart I'll be making, I decided to dedicate my next headcanon to him. I like to believe that, considering Shu and Subaru have arguably the most healthiest dynamic in the Sakamaki household, that Shu once gave one of his spare MP3s to Subaru as a gift as Subaru does enjoy hearing his brothers make music.

-Subaru doesn't likes classical music as much as Shu does, but he listens to modern composers like Ludovico Einaudi once in a while.

-Subaru prefers symphonic metal actually. The blend of guitars and opera works better for him.

-He adored Nightwish and is amongst those who were bummed Tarja went solo. He loves her voice.

-Which is why he listens to her solo stuff opposed to Nightwish's newer stuff the most.

-When he's in the right mood for it, the occasional Blackthorn stuff. He'll listen to songs like Witch Cult Ternion or Saturnia.

-Subaru enjoys the songs that go ham with the dramatic heavy piano plays from Evanescence too, stuff like Lithium or Lost In Paradise are his jam.

-Another form of 'classics' he enjoys is folkmetal/folkrock.

-He loves the Wagakki Band and actually got the permission to attend one of their concerts after he studied really hard to win Reiji and their father's approval for it. If you asked Shu, he and his siblings should always be given the permission to enjoy concerts. Enjoying a piece of culture is more valuable then repeating their education yet again. Curriculum never changes that much he says (which is how he ended up repeating his final year).

-Whilst he doesn't likes most of Yomi's stuff, there's something about 'Void' he finds really calming indeed.

-Whatever Eurovision entry is rock or metal based. Subaru tunes in for Eurovision as he does appreciates the big musical spectacle.

-Babymetal, as they're actually a band he can listen to with Kanato and get his brother to sing for him.

-Because Subaru isn't that fond of pop music, if he hears a song he vaguely does like he immediately searches if there's a good metal cover or a nice piano cover.

Medusa and the faces of trauma.

Medusa was depicted by Ovid as a beautiful maiden who was raped by Poseidon/Neptune in Athena's temple. The goddess punished her by turning her into a monster with snakes for hairs. Symbolically, this tragic tale shows how trauma can destroy and possibly change people into monsters, as demonstrated by Medusa's transformation.

In Metal Fight Beyblade, there are two characters that have Medusa as their (second) bey-beast: Reiji Mizuchi and Julian Konzern.

The first starts as a mysterious and disturbing individual who is later revealed to be a sadist whose only goal is to break both the spirit and bey of his opponents. In a way, he is a monster. His appearance and mannerisms alone make the viewers feel uncomfortable.

In a way, Reiji is portrayed as a messed up and strange person that people should avoid. His hair has those eyes, which I suppose are hair clips, and hide his face and true eyes. During his fights against Kenta and later Gingka, his face became increasingly deformed and surreal, almost as if Reiji lost his humanity. His fighting style merely relies on destroying his opponents' bey, and even when cornered, he uses the same tricks. This is why Gingka is able to replicate his moves and beat Reiji. He is almost animalistic, and in the manga, he appears as Ryuga's "dog". Medusa herself became a monster deprived of her humanity. Though he appears as a monster, it is hinted that he himself suffered a great trauma in the past. Whether it is the doing of Doji or someone unrelated to the Dark Nebula or the Hades cult is not known.

The proof of this is during his fight against Kenta when the latter gained the upper hand, he said: "What did you do to my beautiful bey" and "It hurt." It is almost as if he is reliving a past experience. Some might think that he feared Doji would hurt him if he lost, and that's plausible; however, the sentence about his bey wouldn't make sense. Furthermore, Reiji wouldn't be the first blader Doji recruited recently: he found Yu because he heard of him. So Doji could have heard of a merciless blader that destroys other people's bey, recruited him, and made him obsessed about Gingka by locking Reiji in a room with videos of him. Fusion was a time when not every bad thing was due to the Hades cult (examples: Tetsuya's backstory, Busujima's gang...), adding some depth to the world of Beyblade in general if it was the case. Reiji is called by his last name in the Japanese dub, whilst this is common in Japan when talking to unfamiliar people, this is a way for Gingka and his team to put a distance with Reiji. After all, the latter is the embodiment of trauma and fear, and people preferred to ignore trauma to avoid looking into the eyes of Medusa...

Julian, on the other hand, is a confident and prideful person. He is educated, cultured, and intelligent; he can adapt and observe his opponent. He is not as sadistic nor as animalistic as Reiji, far from that. A nice detail is that Julian's hair waves when he uses the eyes of Medusa. However, he hasn't experienced his trauma yet.

In episode 80, Julian, after seeing his special move being broken and losing against Gingka:

Julian in episode 90 after Damian withstand black excalibur, subsequently having a mental break down.

He is in a similar position both times. The first time, he experienced his first defeat, his first failure; the second time, he lived a complete humiliation. In those panels, Julian seems completely frozen, almost as if he was changed to stone. In a way, this is ironic since Perseus killed and used the power of Medusa to transform his enemies into stone (both in mythology and in the show).

The most disturbing part comes at the end of episode 90, with his face completely deformed. Personally, I couldn't bear to see it when I was younger and first watched the episode. This expression is one of the most unsettling views the show has ever portrayed and perfectly reflects the broken mind of Julian. Interestingly, he could have followed a much darker path without the intervention of Sophie, Wales, and Dashan. Julian seemed to have adopted a new mindset similar to Damian's about the weak and the strong, and was ready to "trample on Dashan's pride." No one can really tell where this would have led Julian, but surely nowhere good.

So, both Reiji and Julian had traumatic experiences related to Beyblade, they had unsettling expressions, and were both frozen in fear (albeit for different reasons). The show does a great job of linking Medusa with the idea of trauma by depicting some of the most disturbing and traumatizing events in the series. While Reiji became a monster, fortunately, Julian avoided that path. After all, his bey also has Perseus as an avatar.

Imagine being a young teenager in this case an orphan Christian girl full of dreams who’s exiting from what’s essentially a cult who’s raised to be slaughter. You get sent to a new house excited for the future just to end up tortured, abused, raped, and killed in a mansion by six vampires…. No cap let’s make these bad boys, S U F F E R 💖

Ahhh That's exactly the vision I've had for a full fanfic. It works for most of, maybe not all of, the boys either separately or all at once. Maybe a series that's occuring in overlapping timelines but for writing sake is in different parts.

But isn't that exactly what gets the most angst and depth and all the good stuff? You were an orphan from the same place as the Mukamis, you've been through hell and wether or not you're still buying the cult's nonsense is very open to interpretation. Of course anything is better then that hell hole right? Well, yes but also no.

So one route that I play with, really only for the Sakamakis, is they did like you and were like how they are in the games except their mothers are still alive. Obviously not happy at the human fondness they stage something to make it look like, or actually force, you to start sleeping with someone. The boys are too busy being hurt and either they kill you or the mother's play the "I will help" and have you killed. Except Karl has noticed your utility. So one by one the girl who has that effect on one of his sons is revived. You're not a vampire though.

~ With Shu's I imagine Beatrix would have fun with having you hunted down in the woods and tore limb from limb, so you revived leads to you have new metal limbs much more useful for your job.

~Reiji would of course go poison, so your skin may be preserved but your veins are black, the blood vessels in your eyes unable to hold in the black poison burst and so your eyes are coals. Your skin is gray. You have some modifications like your "older sister" but they're mostly just for skeletal additions to make sure everything is getting signals fast.

~Ayato, you were burnt, the inspiration for Cordelia's fate. Yours burns leading to artificial fingers to ensure sensation while you work. As well as a voice modulator from your vocal cords being fried beyond repair.

~Laito, you were drowned. He held you under bringing you up demanding you confess to your sin. You refused to lie and professed you innocence. Except you got held down too long. Minor strengthening to the lungs as well as some new gils for your new life.

~Kanato, it's clear you became a doll. Stitch marks holding you together and a lot of voltage keeping you a hard hitter.

~Subaru, he had taken time to calm himself down. He knew you probably weren't with anyone, but the rumours still upset him. But Christa is hardly stable so you were pushed off the castle balcony only to be impaled on an iron fence spike. Your midriff is rebuilt and legs get similar skeletal adjustments to your sister made by Reiji.

So that's the Sakamakis and to quickly shelf them we turn to the Mukamis. You were killed fast here I feel them having to address you come from the orphanage too would be to easy a solution. So you did fast.

~Ruki it's talking back or escaping. It is very clear you know what your doing in escaping but how he doesn't know. Needless to say you are held by your ankle to taunt you. When you refuse to give up your sister's location you are dropped. Your entire spine was rebuilt, with wings added at your request.

~Yuma, during the escape from the Mukamis you are found expertly hiding in some tree roots. You're left impaled for your sisterly loyalty. Karl can't seem to find you and it takes your sister killed by Ruki to locate you. By then the roots have grown into you. It saves Karl the metal, you are sustained by the tree roots weaving in and out of your body.

~Kou blinded you, you kept throwing rocks at him in anger after being separated while scrambling from spot to spot. When he does catch you he takes the eye you held open as you lined up a shot leaving the other to watch as he ties you to a tree to be left for the wolves. You are rescued alive but amaciated and near delirious from blood loss. A new eye and the gift of eternal life without fangs are your prize.

~Azusa probably tried to show you how fun his home is. By showing you his knives...too much. You're covered in stitches similar to Kanato's doll brought back. You now know exactly which stabs hurt most.

So these 10 plus maybe Carla and Shins' main murder, are brought under Karl's wing at the castle. Maybe you don't even know they're related. You get more advanced tech as you all age, you are Karl's daughters he always wanted but never had and amazing assassin's and political powerhouses. All kept from his son's due to their limited involvement in his life.

Until one day it's impossible to keep you all separated. Maybe they don't recognise you, it's been so long. Maybe they do immediately or it's revealed later on. But they learn quickly what they gave up.

~Shu, you are a natural big sister and a good leader. Having become somewhat jaded but still caring towards the innocent you have no time for Shu. Being sent as his temporary guard sees him so baffled and upset that you aren't angry or trying to hurt him. Hearing only "oh please I'm well above that by this stage," only pisses him off more. You've also grown your body tight uniform showing exactly what his missed out on, especially after your innocence is proven.

~Reiji, this bitch wouldn't ever look into the truth after your death. So you're just as guilty as when he killed you to him, only to then be read to filth as you use what he says of his own mother against him to show how he just blindly followed like a sheep. You are elegant whenever he sees you, refined and able to have men kneel from threats so we'll concealed you'd almost think you were best of friends with those you manipulate. Then he sees you with your sister's, having the bond he may wish for deep down. But you're too above him now to even look his way.

~The triplets see a bond healthier than their own in your trio. Seeing you complement each others skills and move so cohesively. Realising how chosing their mother over you left them without what they would now probably describe as a dream come true to them. But all the smiles, laughs, and performance is dropped the minute they are left alone with you and all you give are glares or simple ignoring.

~Subaru spends the first few weeks trying to work up the nerve to apologise. When he does you only say you forgave him years ago but without therapy you would not be getting burnt again. He's hurt and now has to navigate a system he's never had any experience with alone if his brothers aren't so desperate to attone for you.

~Ruki, you are close with Reiji's kill. You two and Carla's playing an integral roll as three of the 4 underhands of your leader, providing different areas of expertise. Your's lies in grouping and typing, the emotional strategy, in large part. You refuse to even look at him, and when you do those wings seem to get sharper and sharper with each second you glare.

~Yuma you are also one of the underhands. Your powerhouse of a form due to the natural improvements and gift lead to a terrifying enemy. Yuma sees a girl so fucking tough, and you eyes never changed. You were this spitfire back then and he just ignores it and tossed you. Plus your part plant that's his dream, and he's fucked up everything.

~Kou, head sniper, having been determined to have equally strong eyes after struggling when the cameras used to make your current prosthetic did not exist. You are fucking cold, kind to so many until they show themselves to be two faces of cruel. Kou's never had a girl not fawn over him and he hates it.

~Azusa, you are equal parts helpful medic and terrifying assassin. Knowing extensive knowledge on where you bleed most, where you bleed fastest, quietest, cleanest etc. Except you get tense the minute he's in a room.

{BEFORE READING AHEAD DISCLAIMER!! No I do not think churches are like this and I do not mean to offend anyone. This is my AU of Sumire being in a 'catholic' AU as a nun. She's more in a cult that poses itself as a 'church'. AGAIN I DO NOT MEAN TO OFFEND ANYONE, }

As a young girl, Kyuufu still had placed in her head that he was her god in the living world. 'You have two gods, me and our holy one.' he said as he drown her more into "cleansing water". She happily let him shove her head in there still she couldn't breath in hopes she'll believe in her spirit god and become clean as she is still sinned and dirty.

But someone's sanity can only be so sane for so long, two gods just two gods. However.. Father is plenty more worthy of being up there ruling it all right? It only took a few stabs in the gut and heart for her to know she now has a god she knows truly exists. This lifeless body in front of her.. Her father was finally in the correct place.

However, the church would come to find out their priest was murdered by the nun, his daughter no less. In panic they send her away to a separate church to 'cleanse' her. Little did she know the people there have done far worse sins then her.

𖧷ɤ— "..It's sad... That all of these people refuse to look into the right picture... And see that sins are not redeemable, and they deserve to parish... However, it is only their choice to walk the right path when they are in front of deaths door..."

People would soon come to question her in the new church. Just what was there to fix about this girl? She seemed to be so in love with her god, even had every word, page, person memorized that they turned a blind eye. Not the 'non human' boys however, the priests would find her intriguing by her beliefs and morals. She, as a loyal nun she become to her newly church would be on her hands and knees to them. She was still a foolish human Afterall.

Following their wants, and requests. It quickly became her job to keep a watchful eye for any sinners, or mistreatment within the 'church'. And report back, and pray behind the door while she heard her beloved priests murder the unfortunate soul. Father have mercy on them when they arrive she think.

𖧷ɤ—"I am more then willing to give up my everything... Please my father... Please take my mortality away from me so I can be yours... For our love is more powerful then our god itself..."

She kneels before him. The one she has chosen 'till death to us part'. But she wishes not to be with him unless she is him, she can not be with him forever until her mortality is gone.

Perhaps she's willing to give herself another physical god, one whom she'll cherish, and do his every biding of getting rid of pesky sinners. But just who is this man? You the reader decide, how nun Sumire's path will go.

Infinite Dendrogram is an oddity out of series I read. Its lore is really neat, but everything else—all the stuff I normally read stories for—is pretty weak. Worst of all are the villains, who are almost universally just people and monsters who cause mayhem for increasingly ridiculous reasons.

Volume 1: Gardranda, a boss monster which kills people because it's literally programmed that way

Volume 2: A couple of bandit leaders which kill people for research and food, which end up combined into a boss monster which kills people because it's literally programmed that way

Volumes 3-5: Mr. Franklin, the first player-villain, who kills people to make the kingdom easier to invade by breaking its spirit

Volume 6 breaks the trend with Tsukuyo, a player who kidnaps Reiji (the protagonist) because she wants him to join her in-game clan (which is also an IRL cult).

Volume 7 has Monochrome, another boss monster which kills people because it's literally programmed that.

Volumes 8-9 have two villains: Logan (a player who kills people for XP), and Acra Vesta (a different kind of monster which kills people because they're in the way of the target it's programmed to attack)

Volume 10 is an anthology of shorter stories (and Reiji's normal college life), with about three villains: One guy who wants to get away with grand larceny, one guy who used to kill people for vague bandity reasons before getting stuck in a place where he can't get away with that, and one woman who kills people because (checks notes) her boyfriend broke up with her, so she started playing the game he and his new girlfriend play together and killing any happy couples she saw??

Volume 11 has Gloria the Tri-Zenith Dragon, a boss monster which kills people because it's literally programmed that way

Volume 12 has F, the reason I wrote this post

Okay, so F is a writer who started playing the VRMMO Infinite Dendrogram to improve his writing craft, somehow. He is the third character in the series who started playing ID for that exact reason. In his favor, the first two are writing a modern-day detective manga and fucking opera, so it's less absurd for F to seek inspiration in a fantasy VRMMO.

On the other hand, this questionable motivation has to be shared with two other characters who have actually been developed, instead of showing up once at the start of the volume and then again in Act 3 to provoke volume 10's woman scorned into a rampage, which is what F does.

Among other things, F is the worst example of what I feel is the biggest problem with Infinite Dendrogram's villains: Reiji doesn't have any reason to care about them. He doesn't have a relationship more complicated than "The bad guy is gonna do something bad, and I don't like bad things" with any of these villains, except Mr. Franklin (who ends up both pissing off and being pissed off by Reiji) and Tsukuyo (who goes to the same university as him and keeps trying to recruit him to her clan/cult/school club).

I have my criticisms of both Mr. Franklin and Tsukuyo as characters, but it's nice to have some recurring antagonists that Reiji has an opinion about, other than "Please stop killing people". It would be even nicer if the series used them in the actual plots of the books, instead of just hinting that Franklin is preparing something sinister and turning Tsukuyo and how much Reiji hates her into comic relief. (Which is, um, one of the complaints I have about Tsukuyo.)

10.- Worst part of fanon

Man, this is tough choice, and I feel like depending on how the fandom behaves my feelings on which is the worst one changes periodically, but I have top 3 fanons that I hate, in no specific order:

The dimensional counterparts are as whole the protagonists of Arc V: I feel like I don't need to elaborate much on this, but I will anyway just because: Yuya is the protagonist, Yuzu is a deuteragonist and REIJI not anyone else is the Tritagonist, anyone who thinks any of the counterparts have some sort of claim over these spota just for being a counterparts earns an automatic eye roll from me, do me a favor and stop giving them credit for things that were done by Yuya or Yuzu.

Shun/Ruri/Yuto/anyone from the xyz dimension/resistance were the best or most badass characters!!: People who have followed me for a while know my stance on this, but yeah, no, not only this isn't true, like in the slightest, Yuto's saving grace was being absorbed by Yuya early on and as such deified by fandom, Ruri was ultimately used for Shun's brother manpain, and Shun who was arguibly the most "developed" had such a sloppy, contradictory and derailed development that people need to reshape him into another person to actually fit the image they have of him, no, I'm will neither elaborate or change my opinion, sorry, but also, not sorry.

Yuya is the worst YGO protagonist EVER!!!: No, this one pisses me off so much for how dumb it is, that I won't even try to rip it to shreds, because that would imply it's an actual argument and not just a hater statement. If you "like" Arc V but hate Yuya, then you didn't understand Arc V at all, period.

12.- The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

REIJI, REIJI, REIJI, REIJI, REIJI, REIJI....

Seriously people it's so weird that people have had something against him since day 1, took at face value the antoganist mask he wore in order to keep his true intentions under wraps and called it a day when it came to his character, he's like the antithesis of Shun in the fandom, because not only will people straight up make up things to make him fit the distorted negative image they have of him, and more than a couple times I've found people actually crediting his acomplishments on Shun of all characters (like calling him yuya's rival, wtf??) which puzzles me so much, I even forget to be angry about it.

Why should more people like him? Um, because his character is the perfect foil/rival for Yuya? The rational to his emotion, the caution to his impulsiveness, the one with his feet on the ground to his dreams and ideals and a long etcetera, but they're also two boys who suffer from abandoment issues and the weight of expectations placed on them who were forced to grow up too soon and become friends through cooperation and mutual trust rather than some dick measuring contest.

Because he's refreshing take on a cliche character in the franchise, and the traits that would make him so get turned into true traits and flaws; he's a teenage genius alright, but he's still 16 so his ideals can still get in his way, he's callous and calculating and it makes Yuya antagonize him and distrust him, he's very guarded but he's also responsible and intensely protective of the people who work with him.

I could go on, but yeah, people should like him more, he deserves it.

25.- Common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing

I was gonna rant about one, but after realizing I have too many and this post is already too long I'm just gonna put this list:

The ending is shitty (this includes 99% of the individual complains of it)

The Synchro arc is filller (this one is just a boring take at this point)

The question you were asked about what a hypothetical battle between Carnelian and the Makai kings would be like got me thinking.

I imagine it could go like this:

Karl and Burai would be in charge of attacking with magic, obviously they both have great knowledge in very, very ancient and dangerous black magic 💀. I like to imagine that the Wolf clan king and Ajax are much better at melee combat, (plus I have a headcanon about how the Wolf clan members are the strongest demons physically).

Carnelian (as far as I know), can use high level magic and is a vampire over five hundred years old, so he's pretty smart and strong, plus he has a cult at his disposal that do whatever he orders them to do, (for example, in the manga his cult members are in charge of kidnapping demons from other clans, so they must also be strong or be demons themselves as well). This battle of kings would also have to be joined by Carla, as everything seems to point to Carnelian being the creator of the endzeit, so Carla especially has every reason to kill Carnelian, even if that means he has to join his enemies Karlheinz and Burai in the battle...

Meanwhile, Alexander, Shuu, Eberto and Alrick would be facing Carnelian's sons, which are in fact chimeras, since Carnelian experimented on them. Based on my knowledge of the Carnelian Blood characters, here the fight would be close but I think the intellect of both Shuu and Alrick could give them a good edge in the battle. Even Lilly could be there as backup 🗡️.

The rest of the Sakamaki brothers, the Mukami brothers, Shin and Kino (along with the Ghouls), could be fighting Carnelian's elite soldiers - "The Crimson Guard" (which by the way, these characters are canon).

Meanwhile Callista and Yui/MC are in a hostage situation, Calli because she is the future wife of the next Vampire King, and Yui because she is "Eve" and that already makes her too special and important.

I hope this isn't too weird, I just wanted to add my thoughts!

Honestly, the best ideas and story progressions on my blog come from others helping me along the way. Working out ideas and flushing them out. So, please, I love talking about these kind of things and building a bigger world.

You are 100% on how the kings operate. I think that Karl and Burai are more of the magical and tactical. While Gottfried and Ajax are the muscle tanks. I totally agree with your head cannon that the wolves would be the strongest physically - they, to me, are the more natural fighters - they give into their instincts more.

I do recall that Carnelian was the one who created the endzeit - that does give Carla cause to join in with the other Lords, as a Lord in his own right. Perhaps this would also be a turning point for him - to take up that mantle.

I did not know they were Chimeras!!! What! I just thought they were demon boys. See, I don't know anything. This keeps getting deeper and deeper. If that is the case, Shu, Reiji, Alexander and Alrick might have to put their minds together while the other siblings fight. @the-sloth-woman I can totally see Lilly joining the fight in Alrick's stead. Having to deal with a cult and an army - both of which I am just learning about - they are going to need all the smarties. The other boys and even Meteo and Evangeline would be leading the fights with those - no question.

Yui would for sure be a hostage, but I don't think Callista would. Callista isn't the type to go down easy, so if she was taken - it was because she was with Yui. If she was with Yui, and captured she would be plotting their escape. I can see her and Yui making it out and running into the boys like "We're here to save you" and Calli just being like "Well you took too long."

Diabolik Lovers & Owari no Seraph crossover

Okay so I thought about it like that

The original OnS continues as it is but the Shinoa Team finds out about another cult with a code-name DL/D-ā(ディアボリックラヴァーズ) which they cannot decode. They decide to save whoever was involved in it despite it lasting an entire lifetime (considering ages of the vampires in DiaLovers it’s 16-18 years) which would mean it was almost as fresh as the Hyakuya cult. After getting approval from higher forces Shinoa Team decides to save the subjects under new management; Yuu’s leadership and Mika’s protection.

When they get to the location, which was assumed to be the city where subjects were hidden, Shinoa Team gets some new information from both vampire and human higher-ups. One file included an information about four human children put in the same orphanage suddenly disappearing one night even though there were other children, second file included information about six vampires with various abilities going missing. Despite all having teleportation abilities nobody have ever seen them suddenly appearing anywhere for about 13 years. All said to have disappeared as the youngest one was barely 3 years old. Profiles of the missing children from both cases were displayed on the screens.

Vampires 

Shu: Last seen when he was 6 years old, personality characteristics: very cheery, always finds a way to ask someone for a puppy with a very cute expression also promising he wouldn’t ask again the same person on specific week, appearance characteristics: blue eyes, blonde hair (mixed shades).

Reiji: Last seen when he was 5 years old, personality characteristics: oddly mature for his age, great leadership skills, appearance characteristics: magenta eyes, purple hair with white fades.

Laito: Last seen when he was 4 years old, one of the triplets, personality characteristics: unknown, appearance characteristics: green eyes, reddish-brown hair with white fades.

Ayato: Last seen when he was 4 years old, one of the triplets, personality characteristics: very cheerful when he thinks nobody sees him turns defensive when he realizes someone is watching him, appearance characteristics: green eyes, red hair with pink fades.

Kanato: Last seen when he was 4 years old, one of the triplets, personality characteristics: highly unstable emotionally, aggresive towards Laito, was assumed to become insane because of family issues with his mother, appearance characteristics: purple eyes and hair with a fade of very light pink.

Subaru: Last seen when he was 3 years old, personality characteristics: innocent younger brother, pretty naive, appearance characteristics: white hair with pink fades.

Humans

Ruki: Last seen when he was 5 years old, personality characteristics: always wary around women and girls, hard to understand, always avoidant to talk about his father, appearance characteristics: gray-blue eyes (unknown), black hair with light purple fades.

Kou: Last seen when he was 4 years old, personality characteristics: [data has been erased], appearance characteristics: blue eyes, fluffy blonde hair, sometimes tied in a small ponytail on the front.

Yuma: Last seen when he was 4 years old, personality characteristics: typical troublemaker, always running away from the orphanage (always got caught and sent back eventually), overconfident, appearance characteristics: brown eyes, long brown hair usually tied into highly placed bun with bangs.

Azusa: Last seen when he was 4 years old, personality characteristics: always reaching for some kind of blade, in worse cases with scars, he always says that he doesn’t understand why people at the orphanage are upset about his scars and was always explaining that he was doing it to make them happy, appearance characteristics: grey eyes, greyish-green hair with a hairstyle similar to a wild animal putting its ears down.

Everyone on the team agreed that it was odd that some data was missing, not even mentioning the assumption that the experiment might involve messing up with DNA which can code appearance. Yuu and Mika pointed out that in the given files some danger-warning data was included, everyone looked through all the files once again with that thought in mind. The team once again agreed they should be careful depending on which part of the team will take care of finding the vampire subjects.

Kimizuki, Yoichi and Mitsuba decided to take care of finding the humans, leaving the vampire case to Yuu, Mika and Shinoa.

Matsuda loves taking care of Namikawa’s hair in any way, brushing it, washing it, braiding it, etc. He’s the kind of guy who shows affection via doing things for other people, affection via actions rather than words. If Namikawa wakes him early enough, he’ll nag him into letting him brush his hair. Namikawa will go through his emails on his laptop or phone that morning whilst Matsuda goes through his hair with a brush. It’s Matsu’s way of showing him that he wants to help him get ready in the morning so he can be his most motivated and successful. Namikawa just lets him because it’s harmless and he likes not having to bend his arm back and spend too much time on it (as someone with long curly hair, it is a nuisance to take care of). 

Quick scenario (on topic I promise)!

Matsuda braids his hair whilst Namikawa has a lot of emails to go through that morning because he’s bored and it’s early in the morning, this is just a random morning in the lives of the two. He does a French braid (another headcanon: Matsu has a little sister who is like a year younger who he is very close to, and he did her hair for her very often so he knows how to do all sorts of braids. he also did babysitting for years as a teen as a part time job! that’s why he’s so good with kids), and he leaves the two little front things stick out. Namikawa just keeps it because it keeps the hair out of his face and he doesn’t really look at it before leaving. He can’t actually see what it is and he doesn’t care.

Everyone in Yotsuba is staring at him strangely, and Namikawa just glares at them in response. They have no business to be staring. One brave junior employee passes by him and goes “I like the braid sir!” and then Namikawa is just like ‘oh well, i don’t care and neither should they’. He keeps it anyway because it keeps it out of his face but everyone who saw him in Yotsuba headquarters absolutely questioned it to themselves. 

Namikawa doesn’t come in with fancy braids or a bun, etc, every day, though he does from time to time (just to make Matsu happy, and because having his hair down is a nuisance).
