Ooh I love the title At the Crossroad of the Stars so much! Peek?

Thanks, it's one of my favourite thing to write! It's a Torchwood/Doctor Who fic that fixes basically Owen and Tosh's deaths and the entirety of Children of Earth. I'm writing it in French, because it's a story that's important to me and despite my fluency in English, my native language is still the most natural for me. At the Crossroad of the Stars = A la Croisée des Etoiles (and it's actually a reference to His Dark Materials, which in French was translated to A la Croisée des Mondes, "at the crossroad of the worlds"). I had the idea when I was on Erasmus in Glasgow and listening to some Big Finish audio stories, and I've been slowly writing it for three years or so (and by slowly I mean that sometimes I don't add a single line for months). I can give you a peek, sure, but if you don't read French, it's not going to help!

“A la Croisée des Etoiles”, c’est le nom de l’établissement. 

Il s’affiche en lettres lumineuses sur la devanture du bâtiment, mais aussi à l’entrée du spatioport où il y a toujours un quai de débarquement disponible pour ceux qui arrivent en vaisseau. Il est aussi présent sur les panneaux de signalisation, les pancartes et les affiches qui parsèment les jardins et les avenues des parcs s’étendant à perte de vue et les murs et les allées du quartier environnant le grand bâtiment de pierres roses et de briques rouges qui contient la bibliothèque, le bar et le café, la piste de danse et tant d’autres merveilles. 

Certains disent que le Centre (c’est le nom donné au bâtiment principal, d’après une très vieille légende sur ses origines dont plus personne ne se souvient) est vivant et infini. Les mémoires les plus anciennes racontent qu’au tout début, il n’y avait que le Centre, et que peu à peu, au fur et à mesure que les visiteurs de passage et les habitués sont arrivés, la station s’est agrandie pour devenir A la Croisée des Étoiles. Les Étoiles, comme on l’appelle plus souvent, un complexe connu à travers les temps et les univers pour la qualité et la particularité de son service et de ses employés, pour les événements hors du commun qui s’y déroulent parfois, et pour les myriades de vies irrémédiablement changées par leur séjour dans ce lieu sans pour autant impacter la trame de l’Univers et du Temps.

love is stored in consideration. it's stored in gifted snacks from your home country and your favourite soap pressed into the hands of a friend. love is stored in surprise hugs and pictures taken of yourself because you 'look cute' even if you personally don't think so. It's taking a break under a cherry blossom tree because you thought your friend might like to take a closer look at it. Love is stored in packing two duvet covers for your night in a hostel instead of one and it's stored in sharing memories and local recipes and reenacting stupid scenes from your favourite TV show. Love is stored in sharing food and linking arms and teaching each other how to say please and thank you and I love you in your native language before you teach them anything else.

have you ever read a fanfic so good that you wanted to write a fanfic about that fanfic, but was too shy / too intimidated to ask for the author’s permission and too afraid that your writing wouldn’t be half as good as theirs and that it would be an insult to their work that was basically a literal masterpiece, so you just sat there fantasizing about their work and how beautiful it was and how you wished you could just eat it and how you wished canon could write your blorbos half as good as this writer did and how you just wanted to cry because you just loved that fic so much????

When I tell you I’m a complete sucker for touch-starved fics, especially when it’s Arthur, I mean it 100%. Short, sweet and so heartfelt. Our love needs to be held more, doesn’t he?

Fluff. That’s it— fluff for our weary hearts. Winding down merthur fics will always be a top need for this fandom. We know enough pain. Complete idiots in love and soft Arthur POV.

My heart is readily yours by regulusrules This one has a dialogue that smacks SO FUCKING HARD. Arthur says, "I trust his destruction more than mine." BROTHER WHEN I TELL YOU I CHOCKED. My god. @regulusrules is probably the reason why I started writing my own fic.

Reasons Why by Oriberry Short but oh so sweet. It was life changing reading this. I love it. So good, so fucking good.

Strangled by the Red String of Fate by idlestories Really nice cheeky bit of fun soulmate shenanigans which I absolutely adored. The banter is so good, it soothes my fucking soul. Honestly, just the balm I need every time I remember how the show actually ended.

I Could Recognise Him by Touch Alone by queerofthedagger This author has my heart, always. But this one hits me the hardest somehow. Arthur is so... open in this. There is a sort of vulnerability to him that I wish I could write. But yes. Good shit. Good fucking shit.

Sticks and Stones by schweet_heart Once again, an author whose Merthur fics do not miss. But this one has art, and a Merlin who is oh so fretful over his King who he may or may not be besotted with. It's a great read.

“Fantastic,” Alex says, his stomach flipping with a new kind of excitement. “Hey, uh, I know I said–”

“That you’re going to do some very bad things to me, yes.” Henry approaches him, voice dropping low. He cups Alex’s face in his hands. “And I’d like to formally,” he pecks Alex’s lips. “Let you know,” another kiss. “That I’m totally,” one more kiss. “Fucking on board.” He grazes Alex’s jaw with his teeth, and that’s about Alex’s last button pushed before he shoves Henry up against the door.

One of the most tragic things I believe Harry went through was this realisation that he can actually be vulnerable with Sirius. This moment of respite he was given, only for it to be so cruelly taken from him with Sirius's death. When he was finally able to let go, there was no one to catch him anymore. And he couldn't help but get back to never being vulnerable, because apparently the times he was vulnerable in ended up a prelude to the destruction of the people he loved.

And when we talk about Sirius, we talk about this fundamental feeling he instilled in Harry that Harry matters and that his pain is valid. That he's worth listening to. That "never mind me, I want to know how you are, what you're thinking about, anything you need."

Sirius made Harry safe, for the first time ever. He made him believe that he deserves goodness, and maybe that was the most tragic thing of all.

I swear I said I'll get over them someday, but it's just impossible

An underrated Sirius moment in Goblet of Fire where Sirius lets Harry talk and talk, and Harry lets out everything he's been holding in since he became an unwilling Triwizard Tournament champion.

So as @regulusrules shared in a post 3 days ago, Eoin is Up To Something. Which might or might not be related to Merlin. He is visiting Ireland, posting about a new project he was working on...

So I've been stalking his page ever since. Today he shared a story, reposted from Adam Weafer's account (private)

At first, I did not pay much mind to it until I saw the caption at the bottom saying "Where's Waldo", which to me sounded very much like a challenge. So I found him.

I noticed the huge advertisement for a shop called "make blink" there on the left, so I looked for it on Google and found out that there is only one "make blink" in the world, and is located in Dublin. I also noticed in the photo that there is a Subway on the right and so I looked for it on maps just to make sure and...

Seems close enough. But just to show you this is the right place...

Either way, this is actually quite useless information even if quite creepy on my part...

That is what I WOULD say if I didn't look for more information which is exactly what I did and I didn't have to look for long. 10 minutes by foot from the (X) location I found...

So what does this tell us???

Nothing. It's all probably just a coincidence and this was just something creepy for me to do. Either way, I found that interesting. And if it is actually related to Merlin, well... that's cool, I guess.

Alright but you guys realise the enormity of this in their dynamic, right? How Merlin never flinches back, never tries to step away and act demure when his king is furious. He doesn't move a muscle, literally doesn't even blink because he's not afraid of Arthur.

There was never a power imbalance between them, not because of Merlin's magic, but because of the equal foundation that their relationship was built upon.
