"If you faint in the day of adversity,Your strength is small." Proverbs When we made the choice to accept Christ in our lives, it did not mean we obtained a free pass from adversity. Christ, Himself, endured torture and persecution before His triumphant victory over the enemy. Situations and circumstances will arise to test our spiritual strength and we must know, meditate and apply the Word of God in order to remain strong. When we feel like God has forgotten us, His reminds us saying, “Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;Your walls are continually before Me” (Isaiah 49:15-16). When we’re lacking financially, continue to give to His kingdom because He said, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38). Mentally scattered over a decision? He gives us clear instructions saying, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matt. 6:33). Plead the blood of Jesus when battling sickness because, “…by His stripes we are healed” (Is. 53:5). "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials" (James 1:2). Why? Because "you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength" (Phil. 4:13), that "no weapon formed against you shall prosper" (Is. 54:17), that "He will never put more on me than I can bear" (1 Cor. 10:13), and "when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold" (Job 23:10).
