A rooftop garden became something of a necessity. Not simply for the sweet sparrows that learned they could rest there before carrying their messages on, but for Imayo and Kokoro as well.

Plants didn't shy away from her; she could grow plants. And Kokoro seemed to enjoy the sun and air, the flowers that they batted about without harming them.

She found more enjoyment than she'd expected in maintaining it, and smiled far more often.
