ngl if i read that in a published book i'd kill myself on the spot
#it's not even that its cringy#it's just... memes are SO time gated#that if something is funny today#and you ordered a shirt with it#by the time the shirt arrived#the meme would alreayd be over#to the point of even being kind of grating#referencing memes in a book just makes you seem so... clueless?#about how culture works despite wanting to reference it#memes are THEE WORST pop culture to reference#and pop culture is already a very very fine line to walk in terms of references#instead sounding like#your just adding to the setting/character#you are just outting YOUR setting/character as the author#if tha tmakes sense
