Drew was always deemed hyperactive. His parents struggled to handle their early riser who was go-go-go all day every day. Putting him in rugby seemed to help. At least, it got him napping, they thought. However, his interest would veer or he would get used to the routine and need new engagement and more activity. This led to new hobbies for the little guy including swimming, running, biking, hiking, hunting, and skiing. No matter how hard Andrew tried, school never seemed to click for him. Classes at the lower grades were engaging enough, but when he hit his core classes as a teenager, he couldn’t stay focused in the test-centric drill-and-kill society and transferred to a trade school. His parents were adamant that ‘boys would be boys’ and refused advice to have him tested for any ADHD, though he had several markers.

He was lucky in several ways when he entered his training to become a firefighter. First, he didn’t move away, so he could stay in touch with his friends. Drew got along with most people. They liked his silliness, he was a nice and fairly good looking- plus he was a talented athlete. They never judged him for his decision to pursue a career that could potentially cost him his life, paid little, and was oftentimes thankless and looked down on. His friends were his rock because his parents were perpetually giving him looks of disappointment, though they seemed to love him enough. His closest friends; Cara, Ronan, and Essa were inseparable. They’d all ‘dated’ each other at some point in their grade school through adult life, but none ever clicked so well as Ronan and Essa. Honestly, their relationship taught him a lot about jealousy and putting others before himself. At the end of the day, he took a brother role with everyone.

Andrew’s life was a balance between working, sleeping, hanging out with his friends, and picking up women to pass the time. He’d made no effort to commit because he hadn’t built a relationship that he cared about more than his love of his closest friends or his job. Simply put, Drew was waiting for a connection that was meaningful with someone that his friends approved of. So, when his station got a call for a multi-vehicle crash, casualties expected, he hadn’t anticipated that his world was about to change. The jaws of death couldn’t save Ronan and Essa. His two friends who had bonded over their shared experience over the loss of their own parents, married with Cara and Drew at their side, and who had a beautiful little two year old. Ronan and Essa had left Nora to her godparents, Drew and Cara, and just like that, he became a ‘dad’.

Having joint custody of his goddaughter has had its ups and downs. Drew struggles with looking at Nora and seeing his friends, as well as going out and meeting new people. There’s a bit of emotional stuntedness that comes with knowing that now, whomever he dates, won’t know the people that knew him best or that he’s growing and changing without those two people. Andrew still, however, is a very loving and playful person. He’s simply trying to figure out what life will look like as time goes on. The loss of his friends has brought him closer to his now-divorced parents and his remaining childhood friend Cara. However, there continues to be distance with his siblings, who don’t understand his relationship with his friends and not them. Though Nora calls him Drew and describes him as her ‘uncle’ she’s taken to calling Cara mom and that does sting a bit, though he understands as he spends his time helping Nora know her parents while Cara helps Nora enjoy life.

Here are a few sprite refs for the rest of my RSA OCs. Tomorrow I will be posting Andrew’s bio but the others won’t be coming until sometime this fall. But since a few of them will have cameos in my upcoming fic, I felt I should introduce them now. 💖

Ayse Claiborn, first year student twisted from the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian legend. She’s a fae from Briar Valley.

Isabel Gregory, second year student twisted from Maid Marian from Robin Hood. A fox-beastman from Shaftlands.

Ivy Nicolas, a second year student twisted from the winter fairies from the Tinkerbell movies. She’s a half-fae from Briar Valley.

First of all, I love this ask so thanks. Second of all, I’ve never actually thought about it. However, once I did, it got real long, real fast.

Her name is Marie (it’s my middle name) and she’s from Houston (i live just outside of it).

She’s not on the ‘exy’ team tho

Wymack’s flown out to Houston to recruit a kid from out there and when he meets Marie.

She’s part of the sport’s med division. She’s really quiet and standoffish. He hears some of the kids talking trash about her but he waves it off as high schoolers being high schoolers.

That’s when he hears them call her a slut. That one piques his interest. She’s obviously too young to give consent so now he’s a bit concerned.

He keeps listening to the conversation and apparently something happened during one of the team captain’s last parties. That doesn’t sound good so he decides to have a little investigating on his own.

As it turns out, she’s in an incredibly abusive relationship with the team captain.

Wymack is about to talk to the coach about it when he realizes that the coach is the boy’s father. He’s equally misogynistic and is an overall trash human being.Wymack doesn’t like the way the coach looks at her either. He tries talking to Marie instead but that’s a dead end. She’s also 16, graduating 17. She can’t legally sign with the foxes even if she wanted too. So he goes to her family

Oh man. That one’s bad. Her father doesn’t care about her well-being. He’s essentially sold her off to the coach and captain. He doesn’t want Wymack interfering.

It takes the rest of the break to pull it off, but he manages to drag Marie and her family to court. He remains in Houston for her case, knowing that the second he’s gone, the girl is done for. He flies Matt and Andrew out for her actual case. Idk if you’ve ever seen the biker gang that protects children in court, but that's essentially what the three of them are doing.

Marie is terrified of being surrounded by so many big men but she’d rather be with them than her family.

As it turns out, her father runs a whore house featuring underage girls. Her mother was one of those girls and she gave birth to Marie at 14. She’s a broken woman. She and the girls from the house get sent to intensive therapy while her father, the coach, and his son get sent to jail.

She gets emancipated and Wymack flies her out to Palmetto immediately. She crashes at Abby’s and finishes school in South Carolina.

She doesn’t play exy. Exy is a full-contact sport and she can’t stand the thought of letting men that big near her. Wymack is a soft soft man and it’s so painful to see the way she flinches when anyone comes near her.

It doesn’t take him long to come up with an idea. After last year’s fiasco with Neil, the board has been bugging him about bringing in another nurse. He convinces the board that since Marie is in sports med anyways, they could just take her on as a nurse in training.

It takes quite a bit of work but Wymack convinces them. Marie is enrolled in Palmettos pre-med program under a work scholarship of sorts.

She starts in Neil’s third year so Matt is the only upperclassman left. Matt loves her wholeheartedly because he was there. He heard from the mouths of those women exactly what went down in that house and the things that happened to Marie. Matt just wants to wrap himself around her and protect her from the world but Wymack doesn’t let any of the boys within arm’s reach of her.

Andrew keeps his distance from her without being told to. He knows better than anyone else what she’s been through. However, he does keep his eye on her. Four years ago, he made the mistake of assuming that Luther would take care of Drake. Before they carted her father and the coach away, he made sure they would never come after Marie again. He knows that rape victims are often susceptible to being abused by others even after being removed from their original environment so he watches for that.

Marie doesn’t know this but Andrew makes sure that at least one of the monsters is always with her. On her way to bio, sometimes she’ll see Aaron standing by the med buildings. It’s his major so she brushes it off. She sees Kevin in the history wing but she waves it away for similar reasons. It pisses him off that he doesn’t have classes with her. Some days are really bad for her and he can see it. He wants to make sure he’s okay but he knows that the risk of being discovered isn’t worth it.

At one of their games, some of the boys on the other team catch sight of her and start hitting on her. They’re making lewd gestures and wolf-whistling. Andrew is not having it. He locks the goal down and is aiming his rebounds at their feet. It doesn’t take any convincing to get Matt on board. He, Aaron, and Nicky are slamming the boys up against the glass, narrowly avoiding getting carded. Kevin and Neil are running circles around their backlines, tripping them up and tricking them into running headfirst into one another.

The bell sounds on a fox win. As they line up, one of the boys asks Marie to kiss his booboos. Pointing at his crotch, he tells her he’s got a nice big bruise down there. Marie looks like she’s going to cry.

“I don’t remember seeing you get hit there,” Andrew says as he steps up to him. This guy is twice his size. “But if you want a bruise, I don’t mind giving you one.” He knees the guy right in the crotch. Needless to say, the man will never have children.

A full-on brawl breaks out between the teams and there aren’t enough refs and coaches to drag them apart.

Abby and Marie are working through the night to patch the Foxes up.

When Andrew walks into the room to get his bruises checked and cuts sewn shut, he sees Marie. She patches him up quickly but refuses to look him in the eye. Before he leaves, she shoves a bag at his chest. He opens it to find a gallon of his favorite ice cream and a spoon.

It takes her a long time to stop flinching at the sound of men’s voices but her road to recovery starts that night. She knows that this team isn’t like the last one. They really do love her.

She finishes her pre-med and Andrew and his monsters attend her graduation. She ends up doing her masters in the same college as Aaron. He and Katelyn adopt her in Andrew and Wymack’s absence.

Once she’s done with that, she becomes Head Nurse for the U.S. Court. She gets to be there to see Kevin, Neil, and Andrew win gold, cheering from the sidelines and patching them up just like she did all those years ago.

BIO:Joseph was born on the Saskatchewan River in Canada. He first came on the Blackfeet Reservation when he was 12 years old. He used to travel back and forth on the road in Montana and Canada until he was married in 1884. He lived in McLeod until 1890. He came to the Reservation in October, about one month before Major Monteath. He has lived here ever since. In 1884 he was married at Fort McLeod to Elizabeth Whiteford by an Episcopal Clergyman.

I, Joseph Munroe, a half blood Piegan Indian 46 years of age, after being first duly sworn, deposes and say:

My father was John Munroe, a half blood Piegan Indian, enrolled at Blackfoot Agency as No. 173. My father died August 12, 1908.

My father's father was Hugh Munroe, a white man, now deceased. My father's mother was Foxwoman, a full blood Piegan Indian, now deceased.

My mother was Isabelle Calder Munroe, now deceased. I know nothing of my mother's antecedants or relatives.

My father's brothers and sisters are as follows:

Amelia Fox, full sister, enrolled at Blackfoot Agency as No. 2004;

Frank Munroe, full brother, enrolled at Blackfoot Agency as No. 1885;

Lizzie Smith, full sister, enrolled at Blackfoot Agency as No. 1365.

My grandparents, Hugh Munroe and Foxwoman, were married in the Indian country about the year 1823 and traveled with the Piegan Indians all over the 'buffalo country' in what is now the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada, and the State of Montana.

My father, John Munroe was born at Fort Benton, Montana. I was born on the Saskatchewan River, about the year 1863.

I first came to the Blackfoot Reservation, Montana, when I was three years old; and again when I was 12 years old; from that time until I was married in 1884,

I traveled back and forth between Canada and Montana.

I was married on January 12, 1884, at Fort McLeod, Canada, to

Lizzie Whitford Munroe, my present wife. I lived in Fort McLeod from 1884 until October 1900, when I moved onto the Blackfoot Reservation, Montana, where I have lived ever since. I have drawn rations and small articles of issue from the Indian stores at the Blackfoot Agency, Montana.

I have nine children and two grandchildren as follows:

Mary, wife of Thomas Burd, born at McLeod, Alberta in 1886.

Thomas Burd is enrolled at Blackfoot Agency, Montana as No. 283.

Thomas and Mary Burd have a child, a boy, enrolled at Blackfoot Agency as No. 283 b.

Jennie Munroe has one child, a girl, named Christine Munroe, born on the Blackfeet Reservation, Montana, on July 6, 1908.
