The #TransitionHappening family manifested another blessing @reedsorganicfarm with the @boysandgirlsclubac kids creating new murals on the farm’s storage containers all together. We used artist Jon Baker’s concept of wings, having the kids create their own with new understandings of line & contour, sprays & acrylics alike & we got to work along side to encourage maximum FUN! Such an incredible experience meeting a few of our next generation’s young artists and having them excitedly learn a new process with us over two beautiful days. Transition Happenings yesterday conjured a most special visit from our dear friend, legendary photographer & @seahearnow co-founder Danny Clinch @dannybones64 & his lovely muse Maria @mamamarmalade16! Leading to a spontaneous shoot with the artists, followed by a spectacular dinner @steveandcookies. To add, our @positively_4th Family came thru as well and @7thstreetsurfshop mate & artist @markquinnette. Oh and @zayn_makki & his band of dune rats from around the way. I think I speak for all the artists in saying I’m just overwhelmed with the love & support for this groundbreaking exhibit providing new energy for @reedsorganicfarm & helping to bridge cultural awareness in the area by bringing creatives together. I’m pleased to share my latest adventure on this journey with you all- “Transition Happening”, an experience created in close collaboration with artists Jon Baker, Charles Barbin, Randi Meekins, Brandon Abercrombie & yours truly. And you know Megs will be providing light thru it all. Presented by Reed’s Organic Farm and Animal Sanctuary, this is their first exhibition & is curated by our friend, humanitarian, art angel, chef/restauranteur, Reed’s President & extraordinary human being Cookie Till. This groundbreaking takeover gives way to new works that reimagine a past era barn space in this current of unpredictability, bridging it to the ever shining unknown while utilizing all sensory resources & local discoveries. TRANSITION HAPPENING @reedsorganicfarm & Animal Sanctuary January 11th-18th, 2021 As the pole barn is prepared for the next phase of renovation at the farm, a shift will take place. #TransitionHappening, curated by Cookie Till is a takeover giving way to new works by artists Todd DiCiurcio, Jon Baker, Charles Barbin, Randi Meekins & Brandon Abercrombie using their work collaboratively as a vehicle to temporarily reimagine the space, bridging to what is next. This is an homage to the great spirit, celebrating the arrival of new energy & blessings for a bountiful harvest.
