Chapter 2: Unavoidable
Before you know it, it’s lunch time and you apprehensively enter the lunchroom with your packed lunch. Across the room, you see Eddie at his usual table with his Hellfire Club buddies. Keeping your head down as you walk past his table, silently praying you don’t capture his attention again.
He made you so anxious, the evening that looked ahead of you was making you feel so uneasy. And it wasn’t that you were afraid of him or what he might do. It was the feeling of being alone with him and how it was making you feel that was driving you mad.
You sit down at an empty table, making sure to have your back turned to him. Picking at the sandwich your mother packed you, the same old turkey and cheese on white bread that she always made for you. Thumbing through the worn pages of your book, you get lost again while reading the Hobbit tales.
You get so lost that you don’t hear a pair of worn Reebok sneakers approaching from behind. So when a chair scrapes across the linoleum floor next to you, and down plops Eddie fucking Munson, it startles you.
He chortles as you jump, but your hand is clutching your chest. Willing your heart to get back to sinus rhythm. “Jesus fucking Christ, Eddie.”
He pats your hand gently, the simple gesture turns your cheeks a bright shade of pink and he smirks. “Sorry, sweetheart. Didn’t mean to scare ya. You really are a jumpy one.”
You furrow your brows, annoyed at how embarrassed you are. “Yeah, well, you shouldn’t sneak up on people.” The retort rushes out of your lips before you can stop it. This is met with another hearty chuckle from Eddie.
“Why you sitting all alone over here? I even had a seat all saved for you next to me.” He gestures back to his table and there sat an empty chair next to his spot. A spot that was normally taken by Gareth. Who was sitting in the seat beside it, his chin on his hand as he picked at his food. He was clearly pouting.
You giggle softly. “So, I’m just supposed to join your little club because you wanna teach me how to play D&D?” A playful smirk spreads across your lips.
His eyes light up with delight, he titters, looks down and then back up at you. “Only if you want to.”
You gesture to your book. “Well, I was trying to read…it’s just getting to the good part…”
It doesn’t take long before you and Eddie are sitting alone at the table discussing Elven politics of ‘The Hobbit’. Before you know it, the bell rings signifying the end of lunch. The time slipping away from the two of you.
Eddie stretches and scratches the back of his head as he stands up. His Hellfire Club shirt rides up, exposing his hips and waist. His blue checkered boxers are hanging off of his hips and a light happy trail of hair is extending from under his boxers up to his navel. Your eyes slowly climb that trail until you’re suddenly looking at his face. He catches you staring, with a shit-eating grin plastered on his face. The shade of red that your face was turning would probably match the logo of his ‘Hellfire Club’ shirt.
He smirks, taking your hand and kissing it gently. “See you after the final bell, love. I can’t wait.” His chocolate brown eyes are boring into your soul. It causes your breath to catch in your throat, rendering you speechless.
He laughs softly to himself and walks away from you. Your eyes follow his every move until he’s out of view. “What is even happening..?” You mutter under your breath as you quickly gather your things and head off to your next class.

INTO THE WILD WITH REEBOK
_en A few years ago, I saw the first outdoor shoes being showcased on feet of fashion enthusiasts during fashion weeks all around the world. I honestly hoped for the trend not to last too long because it looked really bizarre to me. It’s been a few years since and I have at least 5 pairs of trail shoes in my shoe rack now. What’s more, I search for some new pairs to get on a daily basis :D . Well, that happens sometimes. Anyway, regarding this trend, the scene reacted with many variations and different approaches from which one of the nicest is definitely the Reebok Trail Pack. Inspired by the outdoors with earthy tones yet flashy details, these will always stand out no matter what as they bring us back to the 90s hiking era. Many silhouettes to choose from in this pack, but we picked the newest Reebok Aztrek 96 and Aztrek Double, these caught our attention the most. At first sight, you might wonder whether the kicks are weird or not but once you see them in their natural environment, you’ll feel their purpose and beauty instantly. Therefore, we are bringing these pictures so that you can at least imagine what it’s all about.
Check out the full range on Footshop's store and don't forget there is more Classic Leather and different colorways to choose from in there. Also, if you'd like to see more, have a look out our 1000sneakers Instagram account. No, to se prostě někdy stává.
My jsme si vybrali nejnovější Reebok Aztrek 96 a Aztrek Double, jelikož nejvíc upoutaly naši pozornost.

Starting life in Hawkins
Premise - After the tragic death of your mom, you and your dad are forced to move to make ends meet. With Hawkins being your new home, knowing no one isn't always a bad thing. You don't know who you might meet.
Pairing - Eddie Munson x (f) reader
Warnings - eighteen+ content, mention of drugs, strong language.
Word Count - 800+
Chapter 1
After the death of my mom, my dad lost his job and the bank took back our family home. After this the only place we could afford to live was a town called Hawkins in a trailer park.
I tried my best to comfort my dad but the grief was taking a hold of him and I spent a lot of time on my own in a mold ridden, leaky trailer.
Every day my dad would do overtime at the local plant, keeping himself as busy as he could so he was not overcome by darkness. I couldn’t blame him, he had lost the love of his life.
When he wasn’t working he was drowning his sorrows at the local bar.
To keep myself occupied during the summer, I started working at a gas station. It was the dullest thing I had done in my life. I wanted to be outside exploring or just anywhere else to be perfectly honest.
The gas station had its regular customers but they were creatures of habit. Only ever coming in on certain days of the week, otherwise it was like a morgue. So quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Most days I would just be sitting behind the desk, headphones on, listening to old mixtapes on my walkman.
On what I thought was going to be a normal Saturday, the last Saturday before I was due to start my new high school for the start of the school year, a van skidded to a halt. I recognised the van, it was from a few trailers down from mine. The music was so loud, I could see the windows of the van shaking. The ignition was turned off and a guy jumped out. He was tall with long, shaggy dark curly hair. He wore tight skin black jeans, white high top reeboks, a denim jacket and from what I could see a white top with a devil on.
He oozed coolness. I was in awe of him. He looked so confident and so sure of himself. Walking across the forecourt with a slight spring in his step.
Oh shit, did he just catch me staring at him with my mouth open? A smile spread across his face as he entered the store. I quickly made it look like I was yawning and pretended to shuffle some papers around to make myself look busy.
Out of the corner of my eye I watched as he browsed the aisles. Did he keep looking up at me? Nah, couldn’t be, must be my imagination.
He slowly swaggered over to the counter. My palms got really sweaty. I had never felt like this about someone, let alone a stranger.
“Afternoon sweetheart, I’ll take these slim jims and a pack of marlboro reds.” I blushed and turned to the cigarette wall to grab them. I scrunch my face up and told myself to breath and just chill.
When I turned back around, his grin had gotten bigger, his elbows rested on the counter, with his chin on his hand and he was staring with his big brown doe eyes, straight into my soul. We just stood and stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity. “Good music taste” he said finally breaking the silence. My walkman was still playing and the sound was traveling out of my headphones around my neck. “Is that Black Sabbath? The Mob Rules?” he asks.
“Err yeah, you know it?” He laughs, stands up straight and starts singing at the top of his lungs. I start giggling “so you do know it then. My mom used to love them”
“Used to?” He questions.
“Err, yeah, she passed suddenly last year..” I trail off. Way to bring down a mood.
He looks at me with compassion but also like he had been through similar sadness. “Fucking great taste in music she had then. Obviously you take after her.”
I read his shirt - Hellfire. “So Hellfire, is that you band?”
“Oh no sweetcheeks, I’m the dungeon master in the Hellfire Club. We are the official D&D club at Hawkins High. My band is called Corroded Coffins. We play every Tuesday at The Hideout. You should come along sometime.” His grin gets even bigger, I could tell he had a passion for his band.
He winked, placed his money on the counter and turned to leave. “I’m Eddie by the way. Its been a pleasure.” He gave a slight bow as he made his exit.
I shout after him, “Yeah, see you around”.
I watch as he gets into his van, start up the engine and winds down the window. He fiddles around with his stereo. All of a sudden a wave of music can be heard. Black Sabbath. I start to laugh to myself. Eddie hangs out of the window singing his heart out again, looks at me, winks and drives off.
From that moment, I knew I was in trouble. I had a massive crush on a boy I had only just met. Were we ever going to see each other again?

How to Buy Running Shoes
Running shoes are a piece of equipment for daily exercise. It has a massive impact on how relaxed you feel at the period of running. Due to reason, it is essential to choose the best pair of running shoes. There are several brands in the market like Nike running shoes, Puma, Asics, Hoka, etc. you should select the right one according to your desire. But before purchasing running shoes, you have to contemplate several things.
How to Purchase Running Shoes
In this article, we’ll explain to you how to buy the best running shoes.
Shop from Specific Running Stores
It is better to shop for running shoes from specific running stores instead of a large department store. They are more experienced and pass more time with individual customers. The skilled salespersons ask you many questions about running style and pattern to get the correct shoes. They will ask you if you are a trail runner or road runner; based on your answer, they will provide your perfect shoes.
Calculate Your Foot Length
Most of the time, we make a mistake that we know the size of our feet. But you have to remember that the foot size changes over the period due to weight, pregnancy, or other things. In general, you should choose a bit larger size shoe than your regular street shoes. The larger shoe helps your feet to get more places to move around when you run.
Another thing you should know, the different brands have different size measurements. Suppose size 8 in Nike maybe 8.5 in Reeboks.
Stop Purchasing Fashionable Shoes
Never purchase a pair of fashionable shoes for running. Manufacturers of the shoes apply some outstanding features to manipulate consumers. But they don’t work on running. If you run in stylish shoes, you won’t get comfortness.
If you want to run a long way, then select a plain-looking shoe that feet in your foot like a glove. Fashionable shoes hurt your feet after running a long way.
Test the Shoes Before Purchasing
Before packing the shoes, buyers need to test out the shoes. Try your shoes and expend a few times by moving around with the shoes in different movements. If possible, run on the shop’s treadmill and notice how comfortable you feel after wearing the shoes.
Conclusion
To buy the best running shoes, you should contemplate the mentioned things. If you follow the above discussions, you can purchase quality running shoes.

One Down
(I wrote this fictional Horror story for a Did You See That contest.)
"Did you see that?" Tony asked bewildered.
Manic, Jeremy replied, "Hope for the best and expect the worst."
Frightening shadows lingered overhead as eerie sounds grew louder. Danger lurked. Gnarled hickory branches lashed out in anger as two scared rabbits bounded down the leaf-covered trail.
"OUCH!" Tony exclaimed in agony as one scourged his cheek. He wiped the blood away from the laceration and kept running.
Crunches echoed underneath their tightly tied Reeboks. Imitating Richard Petty in the Daytona 500, they picked their feet up and put them down with rapid regularity. Little choices made big differences. Jeremy stumbled. He quickly caught his balance. Stride for stride he stayed with his companion.
Tony glanced over his shoulder. He questioned if his vaunted twenty-twenty vision deceived him. The look of pandemonium on Jeremy's sunburned face confirmed the truth. Tony stumbled. Trepidation was never a good omen.
"We knew better than go into McWhorter's Woods, especially when it's dark," Tony lamented. He regretted having snuck out of the house against his father's insistence.
"If we'd only listened instead of playing Dare," Jeremy responded between deep breaths, "we wouldn't be in so much trouble."
Somber, Tony confessed, "My Dad's gonna murderize me for disobeying him. For sure! I see the woodshed in my future."
"Mine, too," Jeremy agreed. He knew that was the least of their worries.
The pack of hellhounds snarled at the heels of the prey they hunted. Tony noticed the guardians of the supernatural possessed mangled, raisin-black coats.
"Can you smell their stink breath?" Tony asked. In a haste, he called over to Jeremy and proclaimed, "Those aren't puppies to pet. Run, or we're gonna be dog food!"
"Get a load of those huge fangs!" Jeremy responded.
Razor-sharp claws yearned to shred tender flesh. The miscreants knew the local folklore. Legends attributed the sightings of these hideous monsters to certain death.
Out of the corners of his saucer-shaped peepers, Tony observed the savages raced on a carpet of mist. Their pulses bolted. The draconian minions' thin bodies left paw prints on rocks, but not on the soft ground.
Spooked, Tony replied, "We can't let those ghouls circle around us. We gotta keep moving."
"Our only hope is to get home as fast as we can," Jeremy reiterated.
The dwarfish rapscallions recalled what Mordecai the leprechaun told them. All afternoon the three compadres frolicked in a magical world of Shamrock and Straw. Tony won the delightful game that saw them pick up shamrocks by inhaling them onto a plastic straw. Tony wondered if Mordecai let him win.
A known comedian, Jeremy's favorite pastime was the Pot of Gold drama game. Enlightened, they took turns pantomiming what they'd buy if they found a t of gold at the end of a rainbow. Jeremy also liked the four-leaf clovers Mordecai gave them.
The leprechaun's buillion caught Tony's attention. He'd never seen a pot with so many shiny coins before. Never a thief, Tony couldn't resist the temptation of the forbidden treasure. No longer would his family be downtrodden.
"All I wanted was that new X-Box at Wally World," Tony reflected. The warm and fuzzies he knew the unit would provide settled over him. "If Mordecai hadn't turned his head, I wouldn't have flashed that ingot at you like I did."
"You wouldn't think Mordecai would miss one small token," Jeremy responded.
In a hushed tone, Tony had whispered, "Finders keepers,"and stuffed the nugget deep inside the pocket of his shirt. Jeremy had chuckled because he too had devised a means to pilfer a keepsake of his own.
The ferocious baying hounds trapped the wayward tots in a thicket of thistles and closed in. Sharp pricklies from the spiny vegetation pierced their backs.
Startled by the fitful nightmare that disturbed his slumber, Tony sprung out of bed soaked with sweat. A blood-curdling scream emitted, NO!
Tony contemplated why he gobbled chocolate chip ice cream before he went to bed and promised he never would again. He sternly chided himself, "Good way to have a nightmare, you stupid dweeb!"
He fumbled for his shirt draped on the back of the chair by his window. Hysterical, he reached into the pocket and removed his prized trinket. Elated, he held the gold high in the air and padded his bare feet to the dresser.
The leprechaun marionette his favorite toy, Tony placed the coin next to Mordecai and boasted, "Look what I got."
Mordecail bared his incissors and leaped off the dresser. He buried his canines deep in Tony's throat. They crumpled to the floor.
"Little boys should not steal that which does not belong to them," Mordecai warned. He flopped out the door and said, "One down. One to go."

And just like that, the struggle bus pulled away
Last night I went to a group run and it was Not Good. This was at an event put on by the local company ASweatLife and the brand Reebok to celebrate Reebok’s new showroom in the city. Reebok is a brand I associate mostly with childhood (my mom always had those high-tops with the Velcro) but in the past few years is trying to get back out there with initiatives like its Crossfit partnership. They also had a tank top on display reading “Last Clean Shirt” which I thought was very funny.
The promise of the event (which I paid for) was, go on this cool group run put on by the New York company RunStreet to look at some street art, come back to the studio and do some exercises, and leave happy. When I got to the store it was pouring insanely so the organizers said we would do some in-studio exercises. Funny, they were pretty similar to my running strength class -- clamshells/ leg lifts, static lunges with kettlebells, planks/ push-ups and goblet squats.
After a few rounds of all of those, the organizers announced that it was clearing up, so anyone who wanted to was welcome to go out and run. Now, I knew when I signed up that the run was going to be conducted at “an easy 10-minute pace,” a pace that has never been easy for me. But I figured with the frequent stops to look at art it would be fine, and they promised a trailing group member to stay with anyone at the end. Cut to a quarter-mile later when we had gotten up on the 606 running path (made-over elevated train, like the High Line) and I was all alone at the back of the pack. Because I was behind, I missed the run leader’s talks about the various pieces of art, and as soon as I would arrive at the group’s spot they would run off again, so I could never catch up. Which kind of defeats the purpose of the tour, right? (I also didn’t have a phone on me because of the potential for rain.)
Anyway, inevitably they left me behind and I was on the 606 by myself. It’s not an area where I run often, I wasn’t sure where we had gotten onto the trail, and the sun was setting. This is where I started to freak out. What if I got lost? I didn’t have money or anything on me. What if I got back to the store too late and all my stuff was locked up? What if what if what if. You know, it’s really hard to try and run faster while hyperventilating. I wish I could have enjoyed it because being on the path at that hour was kind of cool! But instead I felt angry, lonely, discouraged and afraid. And hungry.
So I gunned it back to the store as fast as I could. Because my life is a horrible sitcom, when I got back to the store the organizer said “The runners are back!” and people started clapping, so then I had to tell them I was in fact not first but worst. Just terrific.
I guess I don’t want to admit that there are running events out there that I just can’t do when what I would rather see are companies like RunStreet being more inclusive and welcoming to everyone. By distance this run was not outside my capacity (I think we covered about 3.4 miles) but the format made it extremely difficult for me to enjoy it. Obviously the weather changes were nobody’s fault, but the changes could have been managed better (why did the event start 15 minutes late? Would it have been better to tell us how far we were going, and mention the route up top?) Barring that, if I had known I would have been alone the whole time, I might have brought headphones and at least stayed on course/ entertained like that.
It’s possible that the owner of the company, as a faster runner, just has no experience with what it’s like to be slower. This is FAR from an outlier experience for me; most of the time I go to a group run, no matter the intentions, this happens. And guess what, sometimes it sucks with the icing of “well, if you would just get faster...” as if (a) we’re not already trying and (b) maybe we are doing fine just as we are?
As for me I just crawled home and told myself I am not actually the worst runner in the world. (Possibly unnecessary coda: I was really tempted to binge eat after all of this went down but instead I went home and made myself a normal sized quesadilla and laid low.)
