After 3 days of struggle I found a group of Red Giant flying squirrels 🐿️in the dark forest at 10 o'clock in the night. There were 7 to 8 squirrels Together. And this is my first record of finding squirrels😊🙏🐿️🐿️ The Red Giant Flying Squirrel or common giant flying squirrel (Petaurista petaurista) is a species of rodent in the family Sciuridae (squirrels). It is found in a wide variety of forest–types, plantations and more open habitats with scattered trees in Southeast Asia, ranging north to the Himalayas and southern and central China. One of the largest arboreal squirrels, all populations have at least some reddish-brown above and pale underparts, but otherwise there are significant geographic variations in the colours. The taxonomic position of those in the Sundaic region is generally agreed upon, but there is considerable uncertainty about the others, which variously have been included in this or other species, or recognized as their own species Like other flying squirrels, the red giant flying squirrel is mostly nocturnal and able to glide (not actually fly like a bat) long distances between trees by spreading out its patagium, skin between its limbs. It is a herbivore and the female has one, infrequently two, young per litter.] Although declining locally due to habitat loss and to a lesser degree hunting, it remains overall common and it is not a threatened species. 😊🔥❣🕉 Canon 700d 55- 250mm Lens 💝 Follow ⤵& Use Tag #himachalwildlifepicture 🌉 ❣🔥 #canonindia_official #flyingsquirrel #squirrel #canonshots #canonphotos #redgiantflyingsquirrel #Animals #Wild #bigcats #squirrels #wildanimals #catoftheday #canon #nightphotography #photography 🐺🐱#nocturnal #flyingsquirrels #bigcatphotography #wildanimals #forest #savebigcat 🏕🗻 #worldwild #sanctuaryasia #himachalwildlife #Animalslover #love #naturelover #jungles 💝 #photooftheday #capturedoncanon "Save Wildlife & Save World." @natgeo @natgeoindia @canonindia_official @bbcearth @wildlifeindia @natgeochannel @natgeowild @natgeoasia @discovery @wild.planet @sanctuaryasia @indianwildlifeofficial @bbcwildlifemagazine @wctindia @wildlifetrustofindia (at Chamba, Himachal Pradesh) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMFCj25p5O_/?igshid=1p11nnna4ztvc

The Red Giant Flying Squirrel glides Away from perceived danger. Read more below after the credits... • This is a #repost from @lh_gan via @PhotoAroundApp Leap of the Red Giant Flying Squirrel! It was spooked by a Black Hornbill which landed quite near its nest. Lucky to get these photos although it was about 100m away. #redgiantflyingsquirrel #flyingsquirrel #wildlifeofmalaysia #sabahwildlife #malaysiawildlife #wildlifephotography #squirrelsofinstagram #squirrellover #wildlife_perfection #wildlifephotography #wildlifeconservation #exploreborneo #borneo #borneowildlife #borneo #sabah https://www.instagram.com/p/B-Nf6_7AKRE/?igshid=hqc3pjmllj8x
