This was on my Timehop yesterday. I showed a friend & she was like, "That looks nothing like you." She's right. It's not just my glasses that almost doubled in size. Not only do I look really different, I am really different. Who I was mentally is nothing like who I am now. This girl was terrified of eating things she wasn't "okay" with...a real good-time Charlie. Now I'm chill around food, use my mental bandwidth to think of things that matter rather than the size of my body or what I ate that day, & I'm a whole lot more fun to be around. Do I regret it? No. I needed to experience it. This entire experience taught me more about myself & continues to. It is my teacher. Recovery is not easy. It is not quick. It's journey I'm on daily, but it's worth it & the best part of doing it for myself is now getting to guide other girls to do it too & that's my motivation to keep going. It's a better place to live.
