Recipes by Vivi: Reb Velvet cookies

WELCOME BACK! Second post back to back lol. This one is also an old one and is inspired by: Reb (aka Eric)

-Ingredients-

1 2/3 cup flour (I use all purpose!)

1/4 cup cocoa powder (preferably unsweetened)

1 TSP baking Soda

1/4 TSP salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temp)

3/4 cup brown sugar (lightly packed)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 egg (room temp)

1 TBSP milk (any. I used dairy-free)

2 TSP Vanilla Extract

Few drops of red food colouring

1 cup white chocolate (add almonds too if your not allergic it’s amazing!)

-Instructions-

1. In a medium bowl combine the dry ingredients (besides the sugars)

2. Using a hand/stand (or painfully by hand) beat the butter and both the brown and granulated sugar together on medium until creamy. Next add in the egg and vanilla and beat for about a minute on high. (Or again by hand)

3. Next pour the dry ingredients into the wet and add the milk and food colouring and beat on low until well combined and no dry ingredients show. Lastly fold in the chocolate.

(NOTE: at this time I recommend refrigerating the dough first about an hour and waiting 30mins to let the dough unthaw before continuing)

4.preheat your oven for 350F° and Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Scoop the dough and roll into a ball (about a TBSP each) and place a couple inches away from each other on the baking sheet

5. Bake the cookies for 12-13 minutes and let cool off for 5!

I been neglecting Rend's lore for majority of the time despite him being basically my star-child. While read as Dark Side, his Force by definition is force of creation. barathrum and klanq are ex-girlfriends

barathrum is the only one [correction: hortensa does too. makes sense. more research required] in the game who uses it/its pronouns for klanq, with everyone else using they/them and iseppa using he/him. the most obvious explanation for this is that klanq is an it/its transfem who gets degendered or misgendered with no respect due to everybody finding it off-putting in a way they won't directly communicate. right? we all know at least a handful of those. so why is barathrum the only one who uses its pronouns correctly? aren't they estranged from each other up until the events of the game?

because barathrum is klanq’s detransitioned ex-girlfriend. barathrum is a character who textually locked herself away because she thought it was "too late" for her, right? we've all seen a handful of those doomposting somewhere online, right? why is deceit so accessible to me? now, this is why ascending the spindle is what brings barathrum and klanq back together—to settle the score with resheph [and the extrasolar fungus of course]. you see, it all comes back to rebekah.

You know what sucks? When you learn new songs (by creators you don't know) and you don't know whether they are pro-Palestine or pro-genocide… Typing them in doesn't really help you, because often one creator/band can have the same name and well… I don't really need to say what the problem is with the information

And sometimes I only find circumstantial evidence, but no evidence (They just write that someone is a Zionist, but there is no damn proof like a screenshot and it sucks, because I would like to have some proof and not rely on information without evidence, because everyone can write whatever they want on the Internet, so you understand…)

It just sucks because I have the impression that searching for information is difficult, because if in the case of some creators in the comments you come across information that the creators are on the blacklist, at least it will help to some extent (Because the list is long and I have a weak memory for names), but you won't always find it in the comments, which makes it even more complicated, when you find only rudimentary information on the Internet…

No matter how many passwords you enter (in English, because I can't find shit in my native language), all you get is fragmentary information without evidence… Eh…

I've finally watched the original uncut non-MST3K version of what is certainly my favorite bad movie of all time, Space Mutiny (The Room is entertaining but Reb Brown and John Phillip Law will always be funnier than Tommy Wiseau).

The 10 or so minutes they cut out of this to make room for the interstitials really don't add anything. Like, most of it is more stolen Battlestar Galactica footage and Reb Brown wrestling guys in ski masks. None of the continuity errors or inexplicable character moments are improved whatsoever by this extra footage.

The only real addition to it is more scenes demonstrating how utterly incompetent and unreliable the Enforcers are, and Kalgan Dr. Doom-yelling about it. Which makes him look like an even bigger deranged moron than the Mistie cut does.

Also I still don't know if Dave Ryder and his squad are supposed to be citizens of the Southern Sun or not. They're like purposefully vague about it. Then again, this screenplay is so delightfully awful it's hard to tell what they're trying to do with any of this, most of the time. Reb Brown seems to be improvving most of his lines, because there's no way anyone actively wrote that character to scream frustrated obscenities and tell people to MOVE 75% of his screen time.

Oh, and he ABSOLUTELY roasts that disabled man, and you see all of that. And Leah has a line where she says "Man, I've never watched a guy burn to death before," and Dave goes "Yeah. Kinda wild."

Also the Mistie edit cuts a subplot about Ryder's squad being the reason Macpherson the Engineer walks with a cane, and that's why Macpherson wants revenge against him. ...It is literally two lines, and they give no other details about how or why or when this happened.

Also Kalgan's plan is apparently to have the pirates force the ship to land in their territory so he can sell the rest of the crew into slavery. ...Except the pirates are immediately and easily exploded, and all the bombing Kalgan has done to the ship doesn't seem to have done any serious damage to it, so...yeah. It makes zero more sense.

Still. It's always worth rewatching. It really feels like a parody someone got confused about in the edit. You should have it on your phone, to help you through the dark times.

I’m just truly speechless at this point. I have no clue what to say. QSMP has been my hyper fixation and love for almost 10 months now and for the past month it just seems like everything has been crushing down. I guess it’s a good thing I started distancing myself from it a month ago after Jaiden… now it kinda hurts less.

Admins, you guys have been some of the most funniest and amazing people out there. You have made my days and made me laugh and smile during some of the toughest times of my life. I hope you guys can go on to lead amazing lives, you deserve it :).

Thank you admins, thank you Quackity (Yes he did mess up but it’s not all his fault), and just in general, thank you QSMP and the fandom.

This fandom has helped me get much more proud of culture, got me to meet amazing fans and creators (especially great creators), gave me days of joy and laughter, lit my creative fuel on days I needed it most and so much more. I’m sorry if I’m doom-posting and saying bye too early but I would rather just rip the band-aid off and do it now before I completely realize this and start crying. Without Qsmp, I kind of have no other reason to stay on Tumblr anymore so unless we get any other news of the state of the server, this is probably my last written post and I’m probably either going to just silently reb;of from time to time or am going to leave this site. I’ve always just used Tumblr to interact with QSMPblr and find great fan arts and fan fics.
