Hey so like, I'm never one to stoke the flames as it were, but there is a community-upkept archive of alterhuman posts and writings which I honestly think is a pretty cool project, and I've been aware of it for while, and I've been aware of some of my posts being up on it for a while, including a lot of old ones from around 2021.
The mission statement is based as hell
This is all a "I support this in general" disclaimer, but I just noticed one of my posts from a few months ago got added, specifically this one, and while I will say it was really meant as more of a personal post, I did tag it and everything and I won't get bent out of shape about it, my main issue is with the description
My pronouns are he/him and it/its. I understand they/them for if you don't know how someone identifies, but not only are they listed in my bio, but some of my other posts in the archive use he/him in the abstracts, including ones from 2021 before I put he/its in my bio, which say they were edited more recently. I can't help but notice that a lot if not most of the entries of my posts on here use they/them for me, even the ones which say they were added or modified in 2023...? I also checked entries for other folks because I assumed it must be a "use they/them for everyone on principle" thing but most of the other entries are using she or he or respecting neopronouns.
I'm not fast and loose with my gender. I'm a male creature, this does not make me nonbinary. It/its is not a synonym for they/them, and even if it was, I also list he/him as an alternative. Using they/them for me especially given the fact that I'm publicly a binary trans man, feels, idk? I don't want to use the word transphobic but...?
I won't even ask for my posts to be removed, I just straight up do not know who to contact about having been misgendered and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little upset by this.
