Eek-A-Mouse - Controversial Song | New Video
Tumblr media
Eek-A-Mouse - Controversial Song | New Video After the recent controversy about the video he made about tolerance and respect towards gay people, Dancehall legend Eek-A-Mouse now responds in this brand new tune: “Controversial Song”. The riddim, a "Real Rock" re-lick, has been produced by Big Bout Ya Records outta Beljam. This is not just a raw dancehall song on a classic riddim by a longtime legend, it’s also the first time that a leading Jamaican artist has the courage to call for tolerance and respect towards homosexuality regardless of how big the backlash in Jamaica will be. Real Rock 50 Riddim by Bassment Music International
Tumblr media
REAL ROCK 50 RIDDIM | Bassment Music International Records To celebrate the 50th anniversary of probably the most popular reggae riddim of all time, Bassment Music International Records relicked the Real Rock instrumental. The original, being produced by Coxsone Dodd, got released in 1968. The relick features Riddim Twins Sly & Robbie, Sound Dimension guitar hero Ernest Ranglin; Firehouse Crew keyboard/guitar player Wrong Move; the late and great veteran percussionist Scully; the magnificent Ansel Collins playing that signature three-note Hammond organ figure in a fine style; and last but not least you'll hear trombonist Vin Gordon blowing the very same instrument he used on the original Studio One recording. Foundation artists Ken Boothe and Willie Willams voiced the riddim and Canadian Canadian saxophone player Isax does an intrumental version. DR out December 21, 2018 Read the full article
