Obviously I'm super happy for Imane Khelif ending up winning the gold medal, but I've also privately been constantly feeling like I wish it hadn't happened, because now the people opposed to her competing have been "proven right" - i.e. if one chose to see it that way then you could say "look, she DOES have an unfair advantage!"

HOWEVER - I've just had it occur to me that there is a rather satisfying silver lining in that regard. The fact that she made it so far meant that she fought a bunch of other women. (I don't follow the boxing so idk how many.) And guess what? That whiny Italian bitch is the ONLY one who immediately forfeited and was literally like "waaaaaah I'm getting punched too hard I'm gonna dieeeeee". All the other women that Khelif fought were absolutely fine. Italian boxer now looks even more stupid and pathetic than she already did. Lmfao
