The Power of the Protagonist
#realistically this is a great example of this kind of biad#I dont know the exact name and im a bit too rushed too look it up rn so lets call it Protagonist Biad#BIAS i hate the phone apps inability to let me edit tags#anyways#yeah protagonist bias is a big thing because unless the protagonist is explicitly written in a way that makes you realise they're not#a good person it's really easy to find yourself on their Side even if normally you wouldn’t support that kind of person/behavior in reality#tbf some people struggle even with main characters who have giant flashing neon signs that say “I am an unapologetically terrible person#it's really something to be aware of when it comes to reading anything- you have to take certain things out of the context a little#out of the characters perspective and view it as the action itself and sometimes the apparent intent that they character may have hidden or#been in denial about#media literacy#really#imagine releasing two books about the same event from opposing sides who both believe they're in the right#and you sell it as the same book so different readers get one or the other story#initally unaware that there are two stories and then discussing it with friends who have read the other version#yeah
