Alrighty guys, I haven't done this in awhile, but let's have discussion time. All my EMS, LEO, and firefighters, let's talk about ways we combat burn out. I'm not just talking about taking time off. Sometimes there's times we can't do that due to weather, shortages, mandatory tours. So how do all of you combat burnout and fatigue and keep your minds straight when holidays aren't always an option?

I think I’m done being involved with firefighting. It’s just not for me anymore. There’s too much drama with the members. Too much fighting and he said she said nonsense. I’m over it. I haven’t been going on calls lately. I just don’t want to anymore. The sirens no longer excite me. It just stresses me out. And it sucks because my dad and brother are involved and I know some other members will be on my ass about it. But too bad. I have to do what I need to do.
