realestateview.com.au and Landchecker unveil exciting new digital partnership
Australia’s only industry-backed real estate listings portal, realestateview.com.au, is excited to announce its partnership with Landchecker, in what may be one of 2019’s biggest partnerships in real estate.
A prime example of the Australian real estate industry’s move towards being data-driven and tech-oriented, Landchecker enjoyed a round of funding that secured $1.85 million in early 2018 and a strategic partnership with RACV. The startup has quickly become an important resource for consumers and industry, including developers, real estate agents, vendors, and home buyers.
Landchecker provides quick access to information and data on planning zones, planning overlays, permit applications and their status (pending, rejected and approved), sales results, burglary statistics and other important characteristics of any Victorian property.
“Our aim is to empower both the buyer and seller with property information that isn’t traditionally visible. Viewing sales listings in the context of all the potential constraints and opportunities of a property enables consumers to make efficient and well-informed decisions says Founder of Landchecker, Will Leaf.
The partnership means that realestateview.com.au listings will be automatically incorporated with Landchecker, to help visitors find properties for sale that match with their zoning and planning preferences.
Watch realestateview CEO Toby Balazs and Landchecker Co-Founder Will Leaf explain the benefits of this new partnership for agents and property-seekers alike.
Developers will be able to utilise Landchecker’s sophisticated search functionality to find suitable properties and land for sale, to instantly see the planning limits and opportunities of a site, and also receive instant on-market alerts of relevant properties as they come on to the market.
Launched in 2001, realeatestateview.com.au is one of Australia’s most established real estate platforms, offering visitors access to the latest properties for sale and rent as well as a range of digital tools, including property alerts, home loan quotes, Sales & Auctions results, and and local area information for every address in Australia.
In 2018, Toby Balazs was appointed CEO of realestateview.com.au after a long career with REA. Since then, he has driven the organisation towards a renewed effort towards being data-driven and to support and work with tech startups within the industry.
“This partnership is key to our ongoing strategy to align with innovative thinkers within and outside of the industry,” he explains.
“As advances in Machine Learning and Big Data continue to drive progress across the world, the real estate industry stands to benefit significantly from being an early adopter of this tech.
“I am proud to be able to start 2019 off with such an announcement. Working alongside Landchecker in this way is a clear indication of the way in which those within the industry can increasingly share and use important data to help our customers. Transparency is everything in this industry, and merging Landchecker’s important data with our listed properties is just one step in our goal to achieve sophisticated transparency on all our touchpoints.”
The new move by realestateview.com.au marks a major win for the portal in increasing the visibility of properties it lists for sale and in reaching a sophisticated customer base who have a higher chance of purchasing properties or land for development. It is also a significant move for the portal in its work to represent its agency customer base, expanding their public profile and lead generation beyond the portal’s own website and apps.
