A crossbow is a type of weapon that uses a levering action to shoot arrows. Unlike traditional bows, it doesn’t need to use the strength of its user’s arms to shoot an arrow. It shoots the arrow by using leverage and mechanical advantage when a string is drawn back with one hand and held in the other hand.

The modernized bow and arrows are called crossbows. It was originally used as a war weapon when it was invented in the year 6 BC. The bow is attached to the stock, which is a mount. Even when the bow is not in use, it stays loaded. Quarrels or bolts are shot from this.
