My relationship with my body has always been complex. I've always appreciated her dangerous curves and luscious skin yet remained a little terrified about what that often means in society. The way men used to think the curve of my hips and shape of my butt was an open invitation for touch. The way the media made me always feel like my nose and chest were too flat or my skin too dark. Every day I try to deepen a loving relationship with my body in the same way I invest in the relationship with my man.
