Speaking of cruise ships, he'd definitely be renting/buying a whole cruise ship for your daughter's birthday or if she's not into those, he'll arrange for her birthday party in the ballroom in their castle/family mansion in Svart

Honestly, he never wanted to ever come back to Svart if it wasn't for his little princess</33

You told her a bedtime story saying that her dad is a king and you're actually a queen which makes your daughter a princess

The story was supposed to make her sleepy but she ended up getting too excited and literally begging her father(Vyn) if they can come to their castle (he didn't agree at first, hesitant onto how the people of Svart and most importantly, his father woulf react but who cares his child wanted to go there so why not🙄)

Yeah with that said, after that, he just went on a spoiling spree on his daughter but he won't overdo it ofc🤷‍♀️ He doesn't want her to turn into someone condescending and just a bad person as a whole and with that kind of raising technique of his, she grows up into such a sweet girl and he sometimes can't help but smile stupidly with how his daughter resembles her mom so much 😭

Angst part

Ok so me and a friend of mine had this hc where like I forgot most of it but it was just how if Vyn decides to leave you and come back to Svart (he doesn't know that you have a child together so u ended up raising your daughter alone)

Can you imagine the shock on his face when he passes by the house he used to live with you in Stellis, only to see you playing in the rose filled garden with a little girl

You turn around to the sound of your name being called, hesitant but you still did it as you recognized his voice. He stood in front of you in formal attire, looking down on you with a soft glimmer in his eyes, seemingly shocked and feeling guilty

He asks you why you didn't tell him about your daughter but you immediately interrupted him saying that he never gave you a chance to speak

If you let him in your lives again, he'll make sure that his daughter lives the best life, guilty with how he almost made her live the same childhood as him</3

But even after the second chance you gave him, you desperately picked up the broken pieces of your heart from the ground as you tear up at the sight of the father of your children and the King of Svart, Vyn, being wedded to a woman on equal footing as him.

Mkay so first of all, uhm TWINS?? Lets say it's a boy and a girl. Well the girl resembles you in EVERY way possible. She's stubborn asf but determined with whatever she puts her mind into. She sometimes pushes his brother into doing stuff he loves like inspiring him yk??

Her brother tho, she's like Artem lmao💀 He's usually calm and silent in a corner somewhere doing arts and crafts while his sister is in the middle of the room singing twinkle twinkle little stars from the bottom of her heart

You'd think that the sister would be the protector between the two of em but it's actually your son. He's kinda timid and shy but he won't tolerate any unjust actions towards his dear sister</3 (You nudge Artem and chuckle at how much your son resembled your husband</33)

When it comes to what your children want, like toys, clothes etc, I wouldn't say that he'll buy anything they want (that's a lie he actually buys them whatever they want when you're not within the vicinity lmao)

It usually goes like this, your daughter is asking Artem to buy both of em something because their friends have it and he'll usually refuse when you're there but the moment you go out to buy groceries, you'd just end up dropping the bags of grocery you had with you the moment you come home as you lay your eyes on the newly bought bikes that looks expensive asf in front of your home LMAOOOO

Yall remember that one personal story where he spent millions for us during the investigation?? He'd def do that to you and your children

They aren't even born yet and he's already having your house renovated for their rooms, already buying shit ton of toys, going to the mall ONLY for food and suddenly, hes calling you over to ask if this little baby onesie would look cute on your children</3

Gives your daughters piggy back rides especially when going out to family night outs or when just going to the park to have a little picnic. Or at weekend nights when you're both not working, you're all in the living room laughing softly at the 3 of em seeing them dance in the middle of the room to some children's music

OH AND ARRON IS DEFINITELY SUCH A CUTE UNCLE TO THEM OMGGG hes giving them plushies, money...toy guns..(as soon as Luke found out about it, he's immediately banned from coming over lmao/j)

Hes vv soft to his princesses but he isn't too soft that he gives them everything. I'm not rlly sure but I think he'd like practice disciple with wanting stuff like, 'Do you want the chocolate or the animal plushie? If you get the chocolate, it wouldn't last very long but if you get the plushie, you'll have it forever!'

He was very hesitant with having children with you with the thing abt his life and his line of work but the moment that he sees the smile on your face slowly dissipate and turn into a look of gloom, he feels guilty for even hesitating for a moment and immediately hugs you

He knows he won't be around for a while so even if he really wants to give your children proper discipline, there are moments where he just spoils them to their hearts content

Sometimes at night, he sits alone in the balcony of your own home and he smiles softly knowing that you now have little angels to look after you once the time comes.

The burden of all of these dawns on him tho. Like, what would your daughters feel like when they realize their dad's gone? What if his work as a spy results in his family getting hurt? Or worse, what if one of them gets pulled into the NXX stuff?

There are times where guilt and despair overwhelms him so pls go easy on him amd always give him cuddles<33

Your touch used to bring him comfort but why is it that when you brushed your hand against his face to wipe his tears away as you laid half conscious in his arms, it brought an overwhelming sense of fear and guilt?

He hugs your body closer to him as tears fell continously from his face, hurting at how his princesses will probably have to grow up without parents.

Marius von Hagen

He spoils them. No negotiations, no questions asked.

He's well aware of his footing in society so he knows how to stand up to himself well. Or if paparazzi surrounds you, poor baby would scream at them and tell them how he hates them for making his mom(you) have a hard time

Surprisingly, the reporters feel bad and start making way for the three of you to go home

Marius is definitely proud of him for standing up for himself and his mom. Speaking of that, he's another sucker for his kid when you're away. You could literally blink and the moment you open your eyes again, there's suddenly a mountain of toys around u lmao

Angst part

Marius is also very aware of how dangerous it is to live in front of the camera and being exposed to the judging eyes of the public so he tries his absolute best to keep you both safe. Including with scandals, where it's said that PAX CEO Marius von Hagen is having an affair with someone else while having a family of his own. His heart breaks into a million pieces as he looks down on his son thats literally crying and hitting his leg with little to no force because of how hard he was crying.

Hes cursing his own dad on why he has the guts to make u cry like that. His last straw snaps as tears swell into his own eyes as he bends down to pick up your crying son and he hugs him tightly.

He considered leaving PAX and having someone else run it seeing how bad of an effect it left to his family but you begged him to stay there seeing how important the company is but what you didnt expect was that he'll someday put his company first before his family.

this post got too long so I’m putting it under the cut augh

Ok um to be completely honest I spent the entire year re-reading PJO/HOO and started TOA and the only books I read that weren’t riordanverse related were the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo, doll bones and the little book of angels (and if comics/manga count: I re-read most of JSHK besides following the new chapters/reading the spin-off and got the OSNF part 1 comic and I’m almost done reading it!!)

I grew up reading PJO/HOO and for many reasons this series is really special to me so it’s definitely among my favorites (Ironically my favorite book from each are the fourth books), I started re-reading it last year and made three of my friends start reading it solely because I was so normal about it… idk what kind of book you’re into but I’d recommend it!! Each series has 5 books and are really fun and easy to read <3

on the other books:

the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo was surprisingly good?? I was skeptical bc it isn’t the kind of book I usually read (I got it on my birthday) but as the book progressed I got more and more invested, anything I could say about it would be spoilers though

Doll bones was fun!! It’s very short but the story was interesting and I liked the characters, I don’t have much to say about it besides I enjoyed it

I bought the little book of angels for research reasons, I’m not religious but I like studying religious elements, specially angels, and I’m writing a story about angels and referencing things like the christian angel hierarchy so I thought the book could help me with references for that!! There wasn’t much stuff I didn’t know already there and a lot of the information was opposing (I forgot the word), it has pretty pictures though :)

Other books I remember enjoying (my memory is. Bad) are this was our pact (a really cute comic!! The story is cool and the art is so pretty), Luna Clara & Apolo onze (a Brazilian book with an interesting premise and a fun writing style), the 39 clues (very fun series, I read it around the same time I read PJO for the first time and I remember loving it so much…) and they both die at the end (made me cry)

And for JSHK and the OSNF book… you probably noticed I’m insane about jshk just by looking at my profile and I’ve mentioned several times ordem paranormal is my special interest and osnf specifically is my favorite season so I could spend hours talking about both of these but I’ll try to make it quick:

Jibaku Shounen Hanako-Kun is BEAUTIFUL, the story is really cool all of the characters are super interesting, the art is just. Gorgeous. It makes me sooo normal augh… I’ve been reading jshk since? Around 2019? I have a hard time with numbers, but yeah I am incredibly normal about it, here’s my collection and tiny Hanako to prove it

I have all the volumes that are out in Brazil plus both spin-off volumes and volume 0 and volume 9 in english + the tiny Hanako is the only jshk thing I’ve ever found in a con because I don’t have the money to buy actual merch and surprisingly jshk is not that known in Brazil

And o segredo na floresta part 1!!! I sold my soul for that book. I went to the book store to get ashk volume 2 and when I was going to pay I saw the osnf book and I had to stop there for like 2 minutes, put the ashk volume back in the shelf and wait in the book store for my mom so I could make a deal with her and ask for it because it was EXPENSIVE…

I am on the process of feeling the consequences of the deal we made but I GOT THE BOOK and gods I was so excited that day that I couldn’t even read it, I just paced around and waited to read it on the weekend

since I’m also re-watching osnf right now I can say they made a lot of big changes on the story, but it’s still really good!! The art is great and the past/future/now pages are SO CRUEL AUGHH they did NOT have to do that to me…. -100000 psychological damage everytime I read a new page…. Cellbit, Yabu and Akila when I catch you…

The way I’m shaking like a leaf… She cried? Oh my gosh. She really feels not so great about herself right now… Poor baby 🥺 I hope Hoon says something or does something to make it better. An offhand comment. Some amazing aftercare. Something! Oh my gosh I was literally shaking after reading. But knowing Hoon he’ll just go beat the shiz out of somebody over it.

I am very curious to see if he’ll mention it or ignore it or what. Literally I’m just so excited for what happens next.

Like I just know they’re in their head about each other. I saw your beautiful thought about the skating rink and I wondered whether there are moments when they’re together that their bodies and minds remember what it was like to hold each other. They had to trust each other so much to be partners. Know each others unspoken communication and body language and they never forgot. That’s probably why they’re so good together in bed. I just have it in my head that she looks down at him—meeting his gaze when he’s about to taste and her mind flashes back to that same face so much younger and happier. Eyes filled with affection and laughter—all for her—all about her—and it’s so painful and beautiful at the same time that she has to turn away… There’s such a tragic beauty to losing love in childhood. Your heart and innocence is just frozen there in your memories… When I tell you this chapter broke my heart…

Like I know he doesn’t want to care but I would be willing to bet in that moment, when he saw her cry, he had that same kind of flashback, you know? Her tears probably always tore him apart because her smiles were so beautiful. Maybe once upon a time it broke him to see her in pain… and maybe he hates that it still does. Maybe that’s why Jaemin had to suffer. Because he can’t (shouldn’t want to) fix what’s broken in her anymore so he settles for breaking what broke her instead.

It’s all there… you painted this incredible world filled with emotion and it’s all there and I just let myself drift in it sometimes. That’s really the magic of a truly good story with really amazing characterization like yours…

I haven’t had time to write in a long time. I miss it so much, and stories like this make me remember why. I hope you know that you really are that talented.

I really can’t wait for more. I just love this story. It’s a lovely highlight to my day. I look forward to it. When I was writing I would get anons and followers that would write me long paragraphs and daydreams about my characters and my stories and my worlds (especially The Alpha—I used to receive NOVELS about that story) They always made me smile because I knew it meant that they were as invested in the world and characters I created as I was. So I hope me sending you these daydreams doesn’t make you frustrated or uncomfortable. To me, creating a world that is rich enough to daydream in is the highest achievement. And you really have done that. Thank you so much.

17. What’s something you’ve learned about while doing research for a fic?

omfg when I tell you... I have never done so much random batshit research in my life for a fic... than I have for this current one... I MEAN it. i've gone to a southern california mission (and am planning a second trip for this or next month!), I've read The Art of War TWICE this week, I started studying tarot, and now I know WAY too much about human anatomy (tendons and ligaments, specifically). but one wild thing I've learned is that apparently when people got crucified back in ye olden times, the nails went into their WRISTS and not their PALMS??? so either I didn't pay attention in either of my catholic schools (likely), I forgot about this, (also likely) or they just never taught us that (most likely)

22. Do you know how your fic will end before you start writing?

if I start a fic knowing it's going to be a multi-chapter fic then I usually figure out the ending before I write a single word. so basically yes. I always know the ending. (the only fics that have ever gotten me in trouble with this are the ones that started as one shots and then whoops suddenly there's more chapters! and I never figured an ending out bc I thought I'd already written it! oopsies!)

but I am very good at developing a basically-complete story with anywhere between 2 hours and 2 weeks of brainstorming. I am very fast with it. it's the plot specifics (scenes, settings, b plots, etc) throughout the fic that I usually spend more time on, but fic usually comes to me all at once! idk! I thought for years that that was how everyone came up with fic! but I have learned from my darling friends over the past couple years that... that is absolutely not the case. idk it's a funny little ~party trick~ I have I guess

9. Do you write every day? If you wrote today, share a sentence of what you’ve written!

I WISH! if I had my preferred amount of time to sit down and write fic every day I would have an absolutely terrifying amount of fanfiction complete. (when focused I can easily spit out 30k+ words in a week and it makes me feel both insane and ALIVE) but usually I can't sit down to write unless I have at least five+ hours to write. once I get started writing I literally can not stop and it upsets me INTENSELY if I have to 💔💔💔

8. What project(s) are you currently working on?

I am currently only working on roots! when that first draft is finished I'm going to take a break and finish outlining cotn's novella this summer; this is so that when I finally fix-up roots and it's ready to post I'll be able to redirect my attention to that while roots is being posted (which will happen over the course of 1 year+)

I've taken two folklore literature classes actually but only one of them was a college class, and more than just an introduction to folklore from around the world.

Cultural Studies of Fairy Tales, while western culture focused, did a deep dive into what we view in the western world as classical fairy tales. The most important thing I learned from this class is

There is no original version.

It's been a common um, actually thing to float around the internet for decades now that "Disney sanitized these classic fairy tales from their original Grimms Brothers version"

While I am very pro shitting on Disney, this is not actually an accurate criticism.

To claim there is an original version of these folk stories, is about as accurate as claiming there is an original dragon. Tracing these stories goes back until before written history.

The Grimms Brothers collected a bunch of stories from traveling around listening to oral tales. Some people may be at least aware of this fact. But that's just the tip of the iceberg.

For example, The Grimms Brothers' version of Little Red Riding Hood, is actually called Little Red Cap, recorded in the 1800s

The version that is actually called Little Red Riding Hood is the French story recorded by Perrault in the 1600s.

There is some speculation that Perrault's version is sanitized from a version that was recorded in the 1800s called The Story of the Grandmother bc it was possibly based on an oral tradition predating Peraults version.

And thats one of the simplest stories. Sleeping Beauty and Snow White blur together almost immediately going back further than the Grimms recording.

Bc almost every culture has a story so similar to these classic tales, that there have been multiple systems created to categorize them into what are called Motifs. Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are about as similar as two different versions of Rapunzel.

The Swan Princess, The Princess and the Frog & many selkie stories are sometimes categorized under something called the Animal Bride Motif.

They get sorted this way bc these stories, while they don't share the same name, or the same details have similar story beats and similar themes.

And if you read many stories under a Motif, it can make it easier in some ways to accept new takes on an old story with that Motif theme and story beats. Knowing so many versions strips away the inconsequential details, letting you see the story for what it truly is.

Many werewolf stories in the 21st century get criticized for being closer to shape shifters, citing their ability to change without the influence of the moon.

But the influence of the moon wasn't a part of werewolf stories until Wolfman. Most people don't even know that wolfsbane being in bloom was also introduced with Wolfman as being an important reason for transformation.

The older stories that we would classify with werewolves did not involve the moon, but more of a discarding of clothes and running off into the woods to be a hermit. The transformation was more similar to pigs reverting back into wild hogs than the hybrid creatures we think of today.

And knowing about those older kinds of werewolves are necessary to understanding the older versions of Little Red Riding Hood.

The reason we can't say definitely that Perrault's version is sanitized is bc the concept of werewolves had shifted dramatically since The Grandmother was told orally. The difference between Perrault's and the Grimms, (if the latter was influenced by Perrault's) can be explained by the hundred or so years where elementary school started becoming a concept.

Society has changed so much since we recorded these versions of these stories, and it will continue to change. That's why we keep writing them over and over again with little tweaks. We keep what's important, generally, but rework the stuff that no longer applies to our current society.

These stories were a metaphorical ship of Theseus long before we started writing them down.

Okay time to tell you what happened yesterday! So you know there’s this colleague that i see here and there. She’s very knowledgeable and spiritual the other day she was talking about an experience she had with her shaykh and i asked how i can get one and she told me to read nafl and ask Allah swt to grant me one. The way she talks about Islam is just filled with so much conviction and love. Anyway she’s very helpful, bless her. So on Friday when i was sitting with my work bestie and the woman mentioned the Prophet’s ascent to the heavens I forgot the context cause she talks like 100 miles an hour. I told her I didn’t know much about it. So yesterday in the morning I get a call and I hadn’t saved her number so it was even more of a surprise.

She was like “i got you a book about the prophet saws i thought would be really useful to you, can you come downstairs to get it?” I was like wow. “awww i love book recommendations, you’re amazing!” i went to her office, and before engaging in any conversation🤣 i straight up asked her “are you a salafi”. Probably not the best way to ask but you gotta be careful where you get your guidance from and you made me become very cautious of them haha. She said no and she went into telling me how her daughter married a Salafi, whose dad is a scholar of a Salafi and she said it’s her test from God to her and she’s been trying her hardest to bring her daughter back but she hasn’t been able to and now her daughter tells her that she’s doing everything wrong. she was like to me “i always thought you were a salafi, idk why! The other day when you asked me about a shaykh I didn’t wanna give you mine bc i thought you wouldn’t agree with him.” She seemed way too happy to find out I wasn’t one, she even hugged me haha. the cynical in me was a bit suspicious but i don’t wanna give into my negative thoughts, isn’t it Sunnah or like obligatory to assume the best of people? She told me she was praying fajr today and I kept on coming in her mind and she started going through her books and picked that one for me. 😭 I was amused at the fact that she thought I was a Salafi. Bruh I didn’t even know what they were like a month ago.

Anyway, it gets better. We were talking a lot, she told me a few stories and gave more advice about tests, shaytan and to always read ayatul kursi. Much needed reminders. Her passion gave me the push i needed. (Yours too) And then!! I looked at the book she picked out for me and it was about the Isra Wal Mi’raj, i was so happy cause I remembered you told me to learn about it plusss a fundamental part that is missing from my journey is learning more about the prophet saws and she could sense that bc of what i said the other day. She gave another book she had in her drawer it’s called “Mawlid ad-Dayba’i: celebrating the birth of the prophet Muhammad saws”. It’s a book with Qasidas of the prophet saws. It’s a light read. Then she wanted to give me her copy of “Dala'il Al Khayrat” but I told her that i will print one out so i did. She told me the story behind it. Isn’t this all miraculous??? I gained so much knowledge and it was the timing just when i started to do more dhikr, my adkhars. OH and i asked if she likes imam ghazali hoping to understand her feelings towards him and she was like “Ooomg” and she gently hit my arm out of happiness hahah and i told her im reading his books. She mentioned Rumi, I didn’t know what to say and she was spelling his name out lool as well and told me check him out. And she told me to read another awrad called the naqshbandi awrad and told me more about her shaykh and omg you know what was the most exciting part?? She talked about how it removes the veil between Allah aaaand that’s what im currently reading about in the Ihya Uloom ud-Din. This conversation just felt.. directly God sent. Like it couldn’t have been clearer that it was God-sent.

Burn out is wild because I have not been able to fully get out of it for years lol like i am just TIRED in all aspects! I think spring break is in two weeks i think but it's literally like three days mainly due to finals week lol i don't think I have anything too exciting for break other than seeing some friends? BUT yes i LOVE doing nothin on breaks/vacations! I truly enjoy my alone time and turning my brain off!!! Like the most I do is see my friends who come back home or just some that I haven't seen lol and when i was younger I we use to go on little local vacations like an amusement park or just go to another town because we were/are poor lol which is fine because i have no complaints! And You have no idea how much I've miss talking to you Sam😭 You even just remotely thinking about me, means so much😭 I saw a video where someone was trying to reinvent the "mash/bake potato" and my first thought was " I wonder how Sam might feel about this?" HAHA

The Time universe is a heavy/dark concept but that does not take away from how heartbreaking and heartwarming it is! You've always mention how writing and your stories mean a lot to you because of how person they can be and i think that you being able to create such wonderful stories is just amazing. It helps you and it helps others feel SEEN! I know I have felt so truly SEEN, which is rare for me, they way I can easily relate to your stories is wild bc not even in "traditional" media do i feel truly seen! and I know you answered an anon(i literally catch up on your blog first when i come on here lol) about how youre not really feeling to good about your stories :( I just want you to know that your feelings are so valid bc it's hard work and sense it is so personal at times, it's hard not to feel bad about it. You're also okay to feel jealous at your worst and that doesn't make you a bad person at all! but trust me you still have so many people who ADORE you and your stories! and not having too much smut isn't a bad thing! I know it' more popular but that doesn't mean it makes the story better! personally I have always been more of a plot person!

Also I don't want to overstep or anything but have you thought about asking advice from any of your writer mutuals/friends on here? Maybe they can give you input on which tags to use or maybe adding pics/themes to your posts? But I will never ask or suggest to change who YOU are as a person or writer bc in the end this is your blog and in the end you should feel good/proud of it and have the final say in everything! plus never feel bad for not posting constantly or taking breaks because your a real person Sam and you are allowed to take time for yourself. Youre allowed to take a step back because life so overwhelming at times! You can't do it all and that's okay because no one is really made to do it all if that makes sense? you need to give yourself the love you pour into others because nourishing yourself been if it's a little bit, it helps a lot in the long run❤️

What are some things from the 2nd book you absolutely want to see next season, and why? I’ve always seen book 2 as a very intimate look at grief. It’s so sad, and I really think informs the decisions all of the characters make. I’m curious to see how they tackle that. I’d love to hear your take. I’ve been following your observations and always love what you have to say. 🙂

One of my favorite parts of book two was the way it showed everyone's grief, in as you said, an intimate way. As someone who has personal experience with grieving the loss of a close family member, it's really important to me to see the grief part done well and realistically, if that makes sense. It was done so well in the books, like even the way Laurel is in the background to sad to even remember to eat and just locking herself away in her office so Belly and Steven won't see her being sad just gets me and I hope they show that in the show. I liked that the books showed Susannah's funeral (despite what happened between Conrad and Belly there) and just how raw everyone's emotions were. You could really feel how sad everyone was. So I hope the show gives us that same intimate, raw look at grief, and carries it through into the 3rd season (bc you could tell how they were still a little sad in the 3rd book even though it had been a few years).

Thing I most want to see is Conrad and Belly's December night. I want to see him picking her up and waiting outside for her, giving her his sweater because she forgot to put her coat on, and I want to see all of their conversations in Cousins in entirety. I want to see how awkward and careful he is at first, sitting on the other side of the couch, and I want to feel how much they both want each other but he slows her down and is super gentle, just everything in that chapter on my screen please.

And the infinity necklace. Even though it's already been introduced, I hope it comes back for season 2 like in the book. I want to see her find it and be confused and surprised and put it on. I need that whole bit after Conrad catches her kissing Jeremiah with the necklace on where he asks for it back and tells her she knows what it means. I want to see how shattered his heart is in that moment. And then I need the entire motel scene. I hope they do that right.

I also want to see Adam being an asshole and Laurel calling him out and saving the house. And the dynamic sort of changing between Belly and the boys, the angst and jealous between them. Because for me reading how the boys slowly began to realize they both really wanted her and she wanted both of them cracked me up. And there were just some funny conversations between them when they were all at the house together. And the way they belly flop her before they leave I need to see too.

Idk I feel like the book is SO good and I hope they do it justice and maybe add some more flashbacks and things they didn't have time to add in season 1. Apparently Cam Cameron was on set filming season 2 and I wonder if Nicole and the other girls will be back too...my prediction is that there either simply just at the funeral or else they come to the party the boys and Belly have on what they believe is their last night in the beach house (at least that's what I hope their involvement is! I don't want a bunch of other/new plotlines and characters taking away from the story and plot).

The fact that they had a college set they were filming at makes me so happy bc the college scenes were so good! I hope they include the scene where they're out on the lawn and Conrad comes back from his exam and tells them he passed and is all excited and picks Belly up and spins her around and then Jeremiah is just looking on like 🙄.

Omg thank you so much for your posts about rinharu!! :"")) I was one of those people who were like "why are rinharu fighting again?? Did kyoani purposely seperate them /again/ just for the sake of drama ?? (And so that they have more oppurtunities to showcase other ships??)" I was really irked at first cuz i thought the first part of TFS is finally going to be a movie about rinharu being a powercouple, but! After reading your posts i realised that haru never really moved on from rin leaving, even in S3 the reason why hiyori's words affected him was because he thought he caused rin to leave (and by extension ikuya, but lbr haru wasn't as frustrated with ikuya nearly as much as he was with rin right) so i'm just here to say.. thank you so much for opening my eyes!!! Now i'm really looking forward to the second part!!

Awww no problem <3 tbh I've always said that free is one of those that has so many nuances left bts that it's sometimes confusing for those who aren't as invested I think. Like there's so many important things that are left out and are in additional materials, that some has no idea what's going on at times. Like back in the days when some interpreted s2 in the opposite way bc of that one thing. My point is that not everyone is even watches stuff like recaps for example (where there are in fact new easter eggs and so many important things like Rin's dad death aftermath etc), and even less read novels and checked side stories and dramas.

For example, in books this Haru's issue about him thinking he's cursed and hurts everyone with his swimming is a huge thing, when Asahi "lost his ability to swim" after seeing Haru's free. But in SD it wasn't adressed at all tbh.

And what Haru feels for Rin is such tornado of emotions, that surprised even me with all the descriptions, bc like it's real bad. Like that part I posted from the chapter when Rin leaves is at least understandable, since he leaves. But the way he reacts to him in general even when he just appears in his sight is always described as if someone tortures him for real lol. And he's always like "pls someone save me, I don't know how to deal with this, bc I've never felt such emotions before".

So basically, like yeah, he's as it is has this thing, when he thinks of himself as some bad omen, so he's very sensitive about it, but since everything Rin-related feels x100000000 for him, its just... well, it hurt for a very long time and sadly was just overlooked by a certain someone, so here we are.

I think we all at first believed that bc Rin's so shocked and in disbelief that Haru could even think that it was his fault in some way:

that maybe they talked about it bts or smth like after the relay. But it seems like Rin either forgot or most likely I think he maybe thought that Haru understood without words? I'm just real sad still that Haru didn't get to hear this speech:

I mean, they made it look by the end of s1 that it was about relay, which partially yeah, but for Rin it was really about Haru. You see what he said.. he said that that 1x02 race with Haru alone.. what made him want to swim again. This whole speech was not only about the fact that Haru wasn't at fault that he quit swimming in the first place, but about the fact that Haru is his lucky charm, that makes everything better. AND WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO HEAR THAT. So like for Haru it's to this day like "after I messed him up, Rin was saved with the power of friendship and a relay". But he was saved by Haru really. Bc according to s3 info, it was basically just about Haru being on the relay team. I don't try to demean their friendships or anything, but its just what it is.

And as I've said before in one post it's just fascinating that to this day Rin for example thinks that s1 shananigans were just about him and just his problem:

So like my point here is I also up to the end of s2 thought that maybe Rei or Rin told that to him, bc we seemed to move on to another problems, until in Kizuna we were shown that he still dreams about that scene of Rin leaving. s3 Hiyori just exposed the wound really.

But also once again see what he said there, it's not just about that one time he keeps reliving, aka his first come back, its really just about each time Rin was leaving. Like the very first one already was bad, the second was the worst, bc he thought he hurt him and thought that bc of him he quit swimming, others are just painful bc by then it was already another kind of feeling. I mean, I do think that this first Rin's return to Australia thing needs to be cleared up since it's obviously still haunting him. But again it's just part of this. Haru after the Australian trip and "I've always admired you" and "without you I have nothing to aim for" and after TYM goodbye when Rin told him that he doesn't need a surprise party and that just swimming with Haru before leaving is the greastest surprise for him, he knows already about the way Rin feels about swimming with him... I think the reason why everyone is freaking out here is that bc the way it's executed it's just really about him constantly missing him and "why am I always have to longingly watch you leave, while you seem fine." If he was in a free race, but wasn't on a relay team, he'd get the same reaction. Its just all seasons combined that brought us here. We already in 3x01 without Hiyori knew that he wasn't handling Rin being far away again good. So tbh it's logical even without any explanation really. I mean, Rin does indeed leave and come back as he pleases and does what he wants without holding back or sometimes thinking about consequences. There's no lie here.

It's like since the beginning for Rin it was like "I found the gorgeous guy I adore and I want to swim with, I'll transfer schools just to nag him into swimming with me, it's not like he's gonna care if I leave after that." (he literally in the book didn't think it was a big deal)

For Haru it was like "I lived just fine, but this guy stormed into my life, made me want things I didn't think I'd ever want, got me addicted to him and then dropped me like a hot potato".

Rin's just very passionate about life and things he wants, like Haru for example, but he's really also very unobservant and very clueless at times.

But like just bc he doesn't know about Haru's existential crisis and all the pain he's truly in when he's leaving, doesn't change the fact that he at times didn't even treat him as a simple friend (because they can't be just friends I KNOW), but still things like "you could've called" "well sorry, I guess I'm just not good at it" are probably hurtful, considering the fact that you are good at it with everyone else tho, Rin sweetie. Like thanks for avoiding us the most and holding back and visiting us the last each time, we feel real special. Haru is like the opposite, he doesn't call anyone for example, but he can call Rin in the middle of the night if needed, he always does for Rin smth that's completely out of his comfort zone.

It's like some say "Rin didn't know he wanted him to call" or "he didn't know Haru felt guilty". He did know he wanted him to call and he didn't know Haru felt guilty and stopped swimming competitively when he stopped swimming, but then Rei told him and Natsuya in 3x03 reminded him about this too. Its just the fact that he doesn't want to add 1+1 and thinks "well, there's no way I can affect Haru like that right?", "he can't be that upset about Rin Matsuoka, right?". While facts are he IS literally the only one who affects Haru in such huge way. It's like everyone else can just pass him by and it's nothing, but he walks by and it's a whole "asdfghgfdsa why my body is on fire, its just Rin who's just standing there".

And I'm also buffled by this thing that some people really say stuff like "where did this come from, they were perfectly fine" etc, as if they ever had normal "friendship" relationship. I'm like when did they ever behave themselves okay? In 3x03 Rin is dying to call Haru, but can't do it, while he's constantly texting everyone including Nagisa. First thing he says in the airport when he comes back is "I'm home, Haru" to air, but then goes to hang out with Makoto and Sousuke, desperately looking for an excuse to see the one whom he from the beginning, as it was shown wanted to see the most, but in his opinion can’t without a reason. It's only when Makoto tells him that Haru was upset about Albert he quickly rans off out of there bc "hooray, I have an excuse to see my bae”. Like we know from the airport scene that he wanted to see Haru the most. If they're so as people say were doing great, than how do you exlain all of their s2 and s3 behavior for real? It's like as if in TYM Haru didn't lose his shit from some gossip about persimmons. I mean, they never settled anything really. And Haru is constantly scared of Rin leaving again since forever.

So it's complicated, but yes, we're super excited for p2, bc asdfghjhgfds.

You smiled to yourself as you punched in the code for your boyfriend’s apartment. The door opened and you stepped in, immediately being greeted by Yeoreum and Bom purring for attention. Bending down, you gave them each their wanted scratches before taking your shoes off. You carried them to Hoseok’s bedroom so that when he walked through the door he wouldn’t know you were there. On your way to his room, you undressed and then took a quick shower, making sure to shave your legs. You stepped out, drying your body and then your hair. A shiver ran down your spine as you ran to his room to grab at your bag that held a new set of lingerie you bought. It has been bought specifically for Valentine’s Day, but he had wanted to keep everything PG and sappy.

You hummed in happiness as you slid on the beautiful lace, sighing at the feel of it against your smooth legs. The lingerie set was white, silk lace. You knew he liked white lingerie on you, so you made sure to buy more white than anything. Your phone dinged with a text, causing you to jump. The text was from Hoseok saying he was on his way home from the gym to shower. You smirked, knowing he wouldn’t get a shower for a little longer...You tidied your things up, pulling his covers back and snuggling under them with your phone to prepare yourself.

A few minutes later you heard his code being punched in, the door opening and Hoseok stepping into his apartment. Keys jingled and then his sweet voice greeted his fur babies, no doubt his hands giving them more scratches. You giggled to yourself, laying your phone on his bedside table and throwing his covers back to expose your body. You shivered with anticipation, hoping you wouldn’t scare him. He began singing softly as you heard him rummaging in the kitchen for a drink and you groaned. Hurry up!!

Soon, his feet padded down the hall and your stomach flipped in excitement. You heard him grumble about how he forgot to turn his bedroom light off, but you smiled to yourself. The door knob turned and he stepped through, his eyes going wide. His grip loosened around his phone, causing it to fall to the floor. “What the hell, babe?” No reply came from you as you watched him round the bed. He just stood and stared at you for a minute, mouth agape in surprise and admiration. “Babe?” He asked again.

“I thought I’d surprise you on your birthday, babe! Was it a good surprise?”

He nodded in silence, placing a knee on his mattress beside your thighs. Swinging a leg over you, he now encased your body under his, trapping you underneath him. Your arms wrapped around his neck in response, pulling him down for a kiss. Instantly there was tongue, his mouth hungry for yours after weeks. A hand ran down your side, gripping at your hip. A moan slipped past your lips, his leaving yours to allow you a breath of air. In the meantime, his lips slipped to your jaw, sucking and pressing wet kisses to the skin. Before he could get any further, you pulled away and a whine left his throat. “Babe! I just wanna know how you like the lingerie I got?”

“You know I always enjoy admiring you. No matter what you’re wearing!”

“But babe!” You pouted.

“Mm. Fine. You look stunning, especially your chest,” he trailed. You squealed at the praise, pulling him down and shoving him between your breasts. He chuckled against your skin, pressing kisses there as well. You arched your back, pushing your chest into his face even further. His lips always set you on fire and today was no exception. Strong hands grabbed at your sides, pulling you closer to his body. You moaned out as a calloused hand pulled your bra down, a thumb pressing against your nipple. A shudder left you at the action and a smirk graced his face.

“I’ll never tire of seeing you react to me like that, babe,” he huskily whispered.

“Hmm. If that’s the case, then make me do it more!”

“Yes, ma’am!”

He instantly hooked his fingers in your underwear, pulling them down your legs forcefully. His hands gripped at your thighs, spreading your legs for only him. You whimpered as the cold air hit your skin, closing your eyes as he began kissing at your inner thighs. You felt him smirk against your skin, trying to desperately close your legs. He pulled your back against his chest, a hand going around your throat as he began fucking up into you.

“Ah, shit!” You yelped, eyes closing at the new feeling. He was reaching new places and making you see stars. His pace was rough and rigid and you couldn’t keep quiet. “Oh, gosh. I’m gunna come,” you gasped. You squeezed your eyes tight, grabbing at the hand he had wrapped around your neck. The skin slapping and the slide of his dick inside of you was almost enough to plush you over. Then his thumb found your swollen clit and you jerked in his embrace.

“That’s it, baby. Come for me, beautiful!”

You whined and whimpered as you came, his thrusts never letting up. His strong arms held you up as your strength left you. He came shortly after you, his come warming you up from the inside. HI I've come again to deliver my promised essay but it's 11PM when I'm typing this so I probably wouldn't be able to write as long as I intend it to be but ANYWAY.

So! First of all, I want to say that it's amazing that you're writing a smut fic but the smut actually does feel necessary to the storyline no matter how much of self indulgence is poured into it. Like, no judging to smut fics!! But sometimes it's easy to tell that the smut and the story has little to no correlation and it's just there for the sake of it. So I just wanna say that it's sooooooo cool that you managed to write the smut scenes otherwise.

Second, when I was this fic gets me the most immersed compared to a lot of other fics (and God knows I've read way too much fics jumping from one fandom to another and another and another), I mean it in every possible way. You have NO idea how much I reread some parts just because I wanted to feel the tension over and over again. One of my favorite scene throughout the fic is actually the one where they were talking a walk and OC was so timid about Yoongi looking around so she offered to just... come back? And he was like, fuck it I will kiss her here out in the open if it means it'll erase the doubt on her face and I just 😭😭😭😭

And I think the newest chapter has SO many things I love I can't begin to describe it. But all the tender moments??? The moment they push themselves through the edge because what they're feeling for each other is in the brink of explosion??? Perfection.

Another thing I wanted to tell you is that I love love love how you narrate the fics. Sometimes you describe what OC does, and sometimes it's so personal that I catch myself being nervous too when OC is. That's amazing stuff right there and I want to thank you for that. It's been quite some time since I've got to write a fic that gets me right on OC's shoes. Almost like I'm looking at things exactly from her shoes.

(I might or might not read the latest chapter during class bc I was too excited and missed like half of the things my teacher said, but, no regrets.) (Also just to clarify I was born in 199x so don't worry when I say school bc I'm definitely not a minor asjzjeidje)

this makes me feel really warm, babe. thank you for pointing this out, because i know that’s my intention with the spice scenes but i don’t know how others perceive them. i want it to mean something and not just throw it in there (even if i really wanna hahaha.) from the very beginning, this has been a comfort fic despite all the smut.

oh my gosh?? wow. this is amazing feedback bc i always wonder how people feel when they read. i work on chapters so intentionally and painstakingly that i kinda become numb-ish to the wording (sometimes i think it’s even boring since i’ve read it so many times.) getting better at not thinking that way, though! i wanna evoke emotions and i hope i’m doing it well, but after reading something over and over from a critical standpoint it just.. yeah. but thank you!! and the scene from sidewalk talk omfg. i honestly love that chapter so much and a big reason why is that.. there’s just something about walking on a sidewalk with someone you like and are just starting to explore something with them. it’s a specific feeling and i wanted that to be the emotion ingrained in that part. hopefully i was able to do that.

the tender moments in this chapter yes!! they were at the edge. the precipice. and gdi if they weren’t gonna be adults and actually talk it all out. i love them so incredibly much and i really am so proud of how far both of them have come to confide in one another. there were so many things that their past selves would GAWK at if they saw them saying them out loud. to each other. it’s just so dope to see.

awhhhh that’s also amazing to hear!! thank you for commenting on the narrative voice. i think i’m breaking countless rules when i write but you know what? i like writing how i think, if that makes sense. like organizing dialogue how normal conversations would flow (at least, in english), that’s how i like writing the narrative, too. if you can see yourself in reader’s shoes, holy heck that is cool?? how wonderful is that i’m so happy that’s the case for you!!😭

omg speaking of gworls i forgot to share my thoughts on the album here bc i was so excited the whole weekend

anyways! i REALLY liked it. overall, the whole album isn’t as cohesive as savage ngl, but it’s still good. savage was such a tight, top tier album that it would be very hard to top. even in the whole of kpop, savage has to one of the most cohesive album to come, even in all my 10+ years of listening to kpop i don’t think ive come across an album that is so sonically cohesive as savage was so i understand why some mys are a bit let down in that regard. that being said, girls is still very fun!!! & i’m always here for a fun kpop album

however!! the song girls itself has to be aespa’s darkest sound. & yeah, i agree that it sounds like an nct song, but i mean it as compliment!!! because i actually think that despite so many trying to replicate nct’s sound, no one has come this close to actually doing it while still maintaining their own touch. winter & ningning adding those cute & fun adlibs makes it such an aespa song & nice contrast to the loud trumpets in the chorus i love it!! imo girls sounds to me like nice blend between turn back time by wayv & punch by nct 127, while the mv seems heavily informed by kick it (i see a bit of punch in some transitions shots too). but again, it’s still very aespa, especially in the fact that has a clearer storyline. back to the song, the production seems very influenced by turn back time & overall wayv’s use of guitars to build up momento with the added horns from punch to add grandioseness &, well, punch. it makes them sound like characters in a big fight about defeat their big baddie. which apparently they do because i’ve read this is the end of the black mamba storyline. the girls add so much sass to the song— to pretty much any song they touch. sm struck gold when they decided to put all four of them together, they cover every ground just by the four of them, it’s so gorgeous to hear them.

illusion is just. such a fucking good song. the choreo adds so much to the song too. from the strong opening w the alarms blaring in your ear & the slurping, winter’s opening line of “you’re so yummy, yummy, yummy in my tummy, tummy, tummy” 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 that…was crazy. insane. there’s no taking out the sexual connotations out of this whole song no matter how much they tried to make it fit into the aespa storyline. it’s so fun & sexy i love it. i loved that the choreo follows pretty closely to the formula the song follows in that it a slow build up that explodes by the second middle of the second verse than it takes its second wind. i think this might be one of their best b-sides & choreographies. it’s almost as good as i’ll make you cry, which i’m still hoping & begging to see performed live with a cool choreo 😭 i honestly think this album could have been a double feature with illusion being the second title track. this should have been the song to get an english version &/or an mv. sm, hear me out, we can still make this work. hear me out!!!! just make an illusion mv instead of leaving my girls jobless once the promotion period is over, you could even get a second boost in sells w this genius idea!!! (hmu for more input 😘).

lingo is so fun!!! i havent gotten into reading the translations yet but i can almost tell this is aespa saying you can make fun of all the made up words & stories their concept requires you to understand but that doesn’t make them any less cool. i see the country influences everyone has pointed out, it’s probably how the song started, but i insist!! this is not a country song!! this is nortec!!! look it up, look up nortec. i know this, this genre was literally birthed in my home city & the streets grew up in. idk who lixa, the producer, is, but they (accidentally??) made a nortec song. lingo is for las norteñas 🤠

life’s too short is cute but i agree it’s not their strongest song. that much i knew when they previewed at coachella. it’s very much elevated by their gorgeous voices & smart layering. the mv was so cute tho!! very dreamy & cute. i think it’s befitting they sing a song like this considering the amount of hate they have received since debut, much of unwarranted. i just hope the girls themselves actually believe as much because they do deserve to enjoy their hard work. they have achieved so much in such a short career & are such strong performers, enough to rival bigger groups. it’s no wonder they keep going viral, they work hard & are good at demonstrating it on stage.

icu…it’s a song. a song sung by aespa. this has to be their most forgettable song imo, i’m sorry. it’s pretty but…it’s just there. it’s the required sm ballad & they delivered. i don’t have much else to say other than they sound pretty.

i know a lot of fans disliked that this album included their previous singles but i’m actually really glad it did! i’m glad i can now have a physical copy of black mamba & dreams come true to play in my car that i dont drive. but if i ever did, i have it & i can cause a car crash while swinging my head to black mamba. plus, no offense to any icu fans out there, but ending the album in that when we had such a strong start with girls & illusion would have been such a snooze. ending it with dreams come true!!!!! feels more befitting ngl.

anyways, that’s all i have to say for now. but i’m sure i will continue to talk about this album because aespa has been one of the most exciting kpop acts to follow right now & i’m always excited to talk about their music to anyone who is willing to listen!!!

btw i genuinely do not care about military aircraft (never have, prob never will) so these are all to do with civil aviation. also huge disclaimer i did all the commentary off the top of my head (i did have to wikipedia some of the stats im not martin fucking crieff) so if i mess up a term or something that’s on me

of course no post about my favorite planes cannot leave out the OG. my first love, the most plane i have ever ridden; the one, the only, the increasingly irrelevant due to industry shifts, the beloved Airbus A380.

i don’t know why i love this plane so much, because lots of other people certainly don’t for a lot of reasons. her size makes her the main character out of necessity at every airport she comes across, and she’s an inconvenience for air traffic controllers for that reason. her origin story is [twitter stan account voice] a bit problematic. given changes in industry trends, she is also quickly becoming irrelevant. airbus my beloved please just admit that the four engines thing was nostalgia and go. she’s a marvel of engineering sure, but when all is said and done…the B747 came, she served cunt, and then she got phased out. the A380 was made with the intention of doing the same…unfortunately, she didn’t really complete the second step.

and now for thee og in terms of famous big-ass planes that everyone loves: the B747. everyone loves the 747. even if they say they’re not into planes, they are. for me, not gonna lie: a very big reason for why i love the Queen of the Skies so much is mark vanhoenacker’s book, skyfaring. he flew the 747 for bri’ish airways (when they still had them) and loved that plane so much and man who am i to blame him.

(L) i think i teared up when i saw her through the big windows for the first time bc i was like oh my god. i am going to be on her. this icon of aviation, the arguable symbol of commercial aviation. so much history, so much significance… + (R) the past, the present, and the future of british airways in one image 🥺

i was on a 747 twice in my life. once on a cathay pacific flight to the philippines, and on my last flight abroad, on a british airways flight to heathrow. little did i know i was flying one of the last of their 747 flights—they phased them out completely the following year, a bit earlier than anticipated due to the pandemic.

as enzo ferrari once probably said, “ask a child to draw a plane, and certainly he will put a hump and four engines on it.” in terms of sheer iconic power and energy, the Queen (and she is the only earthly being to whom I shall ever refer as such) would far and away be the top on anyone’s list, save for the fact that i don’t have a top to this list and i have other planes to get to dear god this is getting long do you know what you’ve got yourself into!! the Queen really said “flight belongs to the people now” and the airlines just had to shut up and listen!! she is truly the main character!!!

genuinely don’t remember what river this is except that it’s in the UK… 🙈

i feel like everything else i say about her is just going to be a pale imitation of how evocative skyfaring was, so honestly i really recommend the book it’s so good and it’s one of my favorites. my copy is sort of falling apart now bc i kept bringing it around to places 😭 anyway, the number of airlines using her for passengers is decreasing, but you know who still use converted versions of her as well as purpose-built models? cargo airlines! anyway, ups and their brown planes my beloved 🤎

this slot was going to go to the B767 and 757, and i was going to rhapsodize about how aesthetically the 767 looks like a nicer plane to me because of Chonk, but the 757 is really endearing because it’s a narrowbody jet and it’s got landing gear that is long in a useful but unusual-looking way, which in essence what i’m trying to say is that if the 757 were a person, it would be esteban ocon.

so i was getting ready to write all of this down in much more words than i needed, but i remembered suddenly the very reason i was making this post in the first place. and that, my friends, is the B777.

honestly you don’t fully understand how big the 777 is until you see it in person. because we are all acclimated to think of like the 747 when we think of ‘big plane.’ but the 777 is massive. even i forgot about it when i wrote That Fanfic.

the 777 and 787 are the future of long-haul commercial aviation (and i say this as an A380 stannie). widebody jets with 2 big-ass engines are most likely what we’re going to see in the sky going forward when it comes to long-distance travel, and the pandemic pretty much confirmed that.

that aside, i love the 777. so much that i wrote a whole fanfic around one making an emergency landing ❤️ i really pretended ETOPS (the thing where a plane can fly for a long time on one engine) did not exist for six chapters and an alternate ending and i think that’s just very quirky of me aha 🤪

dear god do not mind my hat i literally bought it because of fred fucking thursday of endeavour… what the FUCK was teenage me on 😭

the 777 was supposed to be a trijet (one with three engines, two under each wing and one built into the vertical stabilizer) but as the mcdonnell douglas and lockheed martin trijets (cba to look up the numbers) were not projected to continue to be successful, they got rid of the trijet 777 idea and instead made it have two engines. another thing i think is neat is that all the examples of the 777 that you will see in the wild right now don’t have winglets bc the wings themselves are so long and raked back that they’re not necessary. which would be a weird thing for me in particular to find neat, because if you know me well you know i have a thing for winglets. (the 2022 f1 car’s front wing my BELOVED WAKSKDKSJSJ!!!!!) i also think the way the wingtip lights are incorporated into the wings are so neat. the upgraded version they’re trying to make now, the 777X, will have foldy wingtips so you can DIY your own winglets and i think that’s hilarious (and also cool).

genuinely i think i’m the only plane person that likes this last aircraft: the Embraer ERJ-175. i like her for purely nostalgic reasons. she reminds me of how i returned to my roots and decided to pursue engineering.

so okay this is going to have nothing to do with the plane, but i was lucky enough to be given a visit to the flightdeck after landing back home from a weekend trip. i was so excited to be allowed to sit in the first officer’s seat, and got to poke around the flightdeck for like ten minutes. which was cool, but all this was with the sinking realization that even operating a regional jet might be too physically demanding (read: unsafe) for someone of my… [exhales knowing EXACTLY what i’m about to walk into] height.

that is one fully glass cockpit. also those yokes are specific to embraer, boeing’s look more like f1 steering wheels with stuff cut out of them i think, and airbus’s are operated by side stick. it’s almost funny especially when watching flightdeck videos of the a380 cause it’s like… you’re doing All That *gestures vaguely at plane* with THAT *gestures at thing that looks like a chicken drumstick with semiconductors implanted in it*

so that was piloting as a career done with for me (much to my family’s relief.) and then i thought “hm i don’t have to be flying planes all the time to be working around them…why don’t i work on developing them instead?” and i was passively interested in matsci already, so that’s how and when i decided to pursue engineering, with hopes of working for airbus or boeing and in civil aviation.

we’ll see how that pans out, i say as i side-eye the exponential growth of my interest in motorsport.
