i wanted to answer this when the noeythi post was up so i could link it but anywaysss

i am going to paste here what i wrote back when i received this ask on the 24th of april (maybe the answer date varies a bit):

"it took me way too long to comprehend who noeythi is lmaoo i haven't seen their ship name before; this is such a cool question, although my initial reaction was "meh idc bout guncher that much."

^the fact i'd go batshit insane over noeythi the following days is hilarious

"it's a bit hard for me to separate a pairing from its show - the way i felt about the piece of media as a whole has a big effect on how i feel about the couples in it, irrespective of how "good" they are. if i had a fun time with a bad show with questionable couples maybe i'd look more fondly on them than on a multifaceted couple from a "better" piece of media that somehow left me feeling underwhelmed."

^this is still valid and i was thinking of i will knock you and its beautiful aesthetic that is the first thing that comes to mind when i think of noeythi

"if i had watched the most recent abaab ep after finishing i will knock you yesterday maybe i would be at a more neutral point but rn i recall noeythi better (tho i did do that forcebook differences post two days ago,,)

^now i am one episode behind AGAIN but i watched ep.8 and 9 after IWKY so

gun and cher are each other's safe space - they're two hurt adults finding colour in life through each other.

this one i stand behind, they are truly lovely in the way they support each other at their absolute lowest and still make their life more exciting daily together

they're really cute and silly and crazy bout each other, i love that, honestly

and yet i think..i wanna say noeythi? it hurts me but they are such a unique couple, i think more memorable in the long run and im sure i had my reasons to vent about them as much as i did (im scared to open the document these days lol)

The whole camp dinner was so cute!

Noey is so pleased that Thi likes his disaster cooking.

The only person Noey wants to cook for is Thi anyway. Where did NidNhoi come from? lol

Noey is moved that Thi likes his food so much.

Noey can't help the heart eyes. He finds Thi adorable.

Noey is thrilled and proud to have Thi's approval.

The narrative that Noey and Thi are meant for each other because Thi is the only one who enjoys Noey's awful cooking is cliché but I'm here for it. It's so frickin adorable here.

Noey wants Thi to be proud of him. Noey wants to make Thi happy! Noey is willing to do something he doesn't want to in order to make Thi happy. Look at how happy Noey is imagining Thi being happy.

Istg Noey has to have some inkling that he has feelings for Thi. Does he know how he looks at Thi??? That is the look of someone smitten. What the heck is he even asking about Pam for?

Idiots in love creeping people out with how sickeningly sweet they are with each other.

The designated nurse is thinking wtf am I overhearing?

Thi's gang are weirded out my the intimacy on display.

The way everyone yeeted themselves out of that room so fast. 😂

I love that after Noey grabs Thi's sweatshirt and shoves him to the ground

he gently pets the cat on the sweatshirt

Just one of those weird Noey things that make me laugh.

What will I look forward to on Fridays now that I Will Knock You is over? I'm going to miss this quirky little series. 😢

The finale was everything I hoped for. My soul felt healed after the pain that was inflicted by episode 11.

I was so happy Thiw and Noey made up. I really love seeing bestie soulmates in series.

I love that Thi saw Noey's How To Court My Tutor list in his workbook and GRADED it! 😄 Tutor Thi till the end.

Noey rode about 700 km to deliver Thi's duck back to him. 🥰

My heart 💔💔💔

Oh Noey. He asked for more time to fix his heart. 😭 I'm really glad they didn't drag out or focus on the Thi's parent's disapproval drama.

Thi has Noey's duck and Noey has Thi's tiger. I'm so happy the epilogue showed Noey and Thi video chatting and Thi visiting Noey in Bangkok once in a while during their years apart.

I know this series is supposed to be wholesome and all but why was Thi so shocked? Did he and Noey really not kiss the whole time? I mean... Noey graduated from university! 😅

THI HAD THE WILTED LOTUS THE WHOLE TIME! 🤯 He's wearing the necklace so it was after the temple fair date but while he was still in Bangkok. He's had a dried stem for more than four years! This was the ultimate mic drop ending.

Noey and Thi's story is now complete. It was a journey, but so wholesome and satisfying.

I love Thi and Noey's dynamic in the motorcycle helmet scene so much.

Noey is rough and aggressive with Thi.

He's exasperated with Thi's hesitation and reluctance.

Just when Thi (and the viewers) think Noey is being a little shit,

Noey shows Thi and us that he understands and is considerate of his feelings.

Though it wouldn't be Noey without some scolding. Of course he had to bring up the embarrassing stock pot again.

While Noey is frustrated with Thi cowardice sometimes, he also enjoys taking advantage of it.

Thi is too easy to tease. That cutesy pout Noey uses on Thi is miles away from the rough gangster Noey.

In conclusion, Noey is falling in love!

I Will Knock You continues to be slightly cringe and a lot embarrassing.

But also continues to deliver on laughs (sometimes awkward secondhand embarrassment laughter, but laughter none the less) with a quirky story that works with the chemistry that Thi and Noey have.

And despite Thi being ridiculously silly and embarrassing, he is also adorable.

Find someone who loves your cringe dance moves as much as Noey loves Thi's. Those heart eyes and that affectionate smile are adorable.

I chortled at the Watphlu gang's shocked pikachu faces. The guy in the middle did it best.

Noey is completely oblivious at his gang's shock. He's lost in thinking about Thi.

Noey's lovestruck smile made me smile too. His smile is infectious (for a fictional character)!

This series is so embarrassing and I love it so much.

I don't know what Thi is freaking out about. He was already referring to Noey as "his" during their temple fair date.

Was there ever any doubt?

I Will Knock You went and used two tried and true secondhand embarrassment inducing Asian romance tropes in a row.

Kabedon and

The slip and catch with slo-mo stare.

But somehow they've turned the secondhand embarrassment into something quirky and endearingly amusing. Noey doing kabedon with the bags of meat he bought for his Mom in his hand was just uncool enough to be hilarious.

Then Thi falls down the stairs and the bag of meat flops onto his stomach and it's kind of slapstick and cringey but also so ridiculous it's funny.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those series that's slightly cringey but in a funny and amusing way.

Thi is the epitome of 傻白甜 (someone who is silly, innocent/clueless and sweet). This is also slightly cringey but in Thi's case, endearing enough to overcome the cringe.
