I like Lucifer Valentine movies, but I would hardly watch them again

[except for Slaughtered Vomit Dolls :3]

For those who view film less as a medium for escapist entertainment and more as a tool for psychoanalysis, Slaughtered Vomit Dolls' experimental blend of surrealism and extreme horror prove director Lucifer Valentine to be not just a filmmaker, but truly an artist worth paying attention to. Polarizing though it may be, this serious piece of cinema demands recognition for its aesthetic merits, Jungian underpinnings and intelligence.

Valentine approaches the material less as a director and more as a psychotherapist, utilizing the language of cinema to explore the human condition. The disjointed editing and nonlinear storytelling are deceptively amateurish, with the feverish, dream-like style (reminiscent of the best work of Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch) mirroring the fragmented and disoriented mental state of its characters. 

Therefore, the disturbing imagery is not mere exploitation; it serves to immerse the viewer into the mind of Angela Aberdeen, a character consumed by addiction, self-loathing, and trauma. By eschewing conventional narrative structure and through demonstrating nigh heroic bravery in his willingness to go farther than even his clear influences (the aforementioned Lynch and Kubrick, as well as the psychoanalytical bent of Alfred Hitchcock in films like Vertigo), Valentine delves deeper into our collective unconscious than any other filmmaker before or since his work in this landmark achievement (except perhaps in its follow-ups, ReGOREgitated Sacrifice and Slow Torture Puke Chamber, both of which admittedly rival the sheer artistry of this effort) . In doing so, he creates a cinematic language that is uniquely his own—raw, visceral, and uncompromising.

As a meditation on the exploitation of society's most vulnerable individuals, the film’s explicit content—foolishly dismissed as shock for the sake of shock by various troglodytes—is in actuality a Kafkaesque meditation on the commodification of suffering. Valentine holds a mirror to the audience, challenging us to reflect on our own complicity in consuming media that blurs the lines between art and voyeurism, such as the worst excesses of the porn industry and even the exploitive nature of reality television.

Valentine’s commitment to his vision, however disturbing, is undeniable. For those willing to engage with it on its own terms, Slaughtered Vomit Dolls offers a singular, unforgettable journey into the depths that some humans sink to, equaling and at times even surpassing the best novels of Fyodor Dostoevsky. It’s not entertainment in the conventional sense, but a piece of extreme art that pushes the boundaries of what cinema can be.

I hope this makes sense but I wish there were higher quality extortion horror fake snuff films out there. Extortion horror is such a fun genre and I feel like there's two sides, something like Lucifer Valentine's films and stuff like A Serbian Film.

I LOVE A SERBIAN FILM! And no I DON'T love child porn I just love the fact that it's a movie with a message. It's not just violence and disgusting shit for the sake of being disgusting, there's meaning to it. The end scene will always be one of my favorites. It gets its point across, and I love it.

And then there's Lucifer Valentine. Slaughtered Vomit Dolls, ReGOREgitated Sacrifice, Slow Torture Puke Chamber. Retarded ass names, absolutely shit quality, questionable treatment of the actresses, and I won't even bother discussing Valentine as a person. His movies are just fetish filled slop. And truthfully, that wouldn't bother me, if they weren't so fucking BORING! I tried to watch Slaughtered Vomit Dolls but my God, it was such a fucking bore.

Anyway, there's a little mini-rant. If you have any low or high quality extortion horror films you'd like to suggest, I'd love to hear. We'll probably watch them with our boyfriend.
