What the actual fuck!?

So... I was searching for gory horror movies (i like movies like Terrifier) and i come across this thing.

"The vomit gore trilogy" by Lucifer Valentine.

So I searched it up. I saw people say how much they loved Lucifer Valentine's movies, ans i saw people say how much they hated the movies and Lucifer Valentine himself. So I, as the stupid mf I am, i found a way to wach every single one of Lucifer Valentine's movies and, honestly, I don't think I've made a worse mistake in my life.

The first one i watched was the first of "The vomit gore trilogy", "Slaughtered vomit dolls". The movie is about this 19yo girl with bulimia who ran away from home and to make ends meet she started working as a prostitute. Due to her condition she starts having hallucinations of her colleagues dying.

The movie isn't good and barely has a plot. It is purely made for shock factor and to show women dying.

I watched every single movie this motherfucker made, "a perfect child of satan", "ReGOREgitated sacrifice", you name it, and, literally, all Lucifer Valentine's movies are the same. Something about a girl, barely into her adulthood, she get's in a horrible situation, shes SA'd, forced to throw up, mutated, killed, and sometimes eaten.

I honestly believe that Lucifer Valentine is a sick, perverted, sadistic excuse of a human being that enjoys making tapes of women being murdered poorly disguised as "horror movies" and i believe he should cease existing or, at the very least, be locked up.

I needed to get this out of my system.

so i watched 'A Perfect Child Of Satan' for the first time today. i've watched in-depth reviews and breakdowns (i love you jonjo lyons reviews) and done research on all of Lucifer Valentines films, but this is my first i've actually watched. *spoiler warning*

personally, while it wasn't particularly easy to watch, i think gore-wise it wasn't too bad at all; which was a pleasant surprise (i'm pretty squeamish) but the r@pe scene wasn't easy to watch at all. i'm not sure if this is true or not but i read a comment on effedupmovies.com (which is where i watched the movie, pretty sure all of LV's movies are on there. also i am not 100% if it was a comment or the movie description but either way i read it) saying that the "sex" in this scene wasn't simulated, and that even though you don't see the penetration, LV is actually having sex with Chelsea. so do with that info what you will i suppose.

i feel like the build up to the ending could have been done differently. it felt repetitive and dull, if i'm completely honest. i liked the video diary format, and i think the insight into a bit of Sara's personality and background was effective in making the viewer sympathise for her as she met her eventual demise. but a lot of it just was boring? i'm not a filmmaker, but the first fifteen odd minutes of the twenty minute movie was just Sara talking into the camera, with one clip of her spanking one of her clients (Sara is a prostitute) and a couple clips of her cat. surely we could've had more variety in format, atleast dialogue, i don't know.

i do think the scene just before the climax was done really well though, of when Sara meets the predator for the first time. the awkwardness and the build-up, the music and sound effects slowly getting louder as you can see Sara beginning to get a little freaked out, and it suddenly coming to a stop just before the man grabs her, and you know what happens next. it was very effective at building the tension for what you knew was eventual in my opinion.

the actual r@pe scene was done in a way that, whilst it was very very graphic, you don't really actually see too much if you know what i mean. the filming is janky, the clips cut out frequently and it makes it hard to tell what's going on, which i actually think was really effective in conveying the pure terror and intensity of the scene. it was absolutely a tough watch, Sara's cries and plea's for him to stop sent chills down my spine, Chelsea Chainsaw is a good actress imo. i'm not gonna lie i felt pretty ill watching it. i think the small bits of dialogue in this section were very effective, and it just has a way of making you feel absolutely horrible watching it.

overall, i probably wouldn't watch it again, for multiple reasons. the plot was predictable, though i do think the story had a really important message; don't meet up with rando's you meet online. i'll watch the rest of his movies eventually, and i'll write about them when i do.

(also just as a PSA i don't support lucifer valentine as a person at all, his work mainly caught my attention because i have a strange fascination for gross disturbing shit, and i'm watching his movies out of morbid curiosity more than anything else.)
