ok so it’s 12 am and this isn't my best work but. i had an idea and i haven’t seen this anywhere else and I need! this crossover! right now!
im equally amounts proud of this and cringing at this gah
not every problem in little nightmares could be solved by shooting it in the face but imagine leon blowing up everyone who looks at his two teeny tiny children wrong. maybe i will write some bits and pieces for this idk depends on how long the hyperfixation has hold, last one ended before i was able to put anything out.
edit: new messy piece here and writing for this here

Guess what? I wrote something for the little Resident Evil x Little Nightmares crossover. There’s actually more, but I’m going to try and pace myself for this.
~~~
While Mono couldn’t say where they were for certain, he knew it wasn’t the same place Six and him had come from. She had, for some insane reason, followed him into the television, and thankfully shared his fate when the screen spat them both out here. Wherever here might be.
There was something in the air, a clean tension even Six could feel, drastic in its sharpness and nothing like the heavy, endless mist of their city. Of course, the city that they had come from wasn’t “theirs” any more than the city they found themselves in, but Mono pretended that it was more “home” than this new place. He knew there better than here, not that it said much.
One thing he knew though, was that the Adults here were different. Yes, there were some clear twisted Adults that screeched like animals and trudged after them with unseeing determination. Monsters like corpses in bags, given new life, and blind ones that looked like skinned frogs he had seen in the School.
But there were also ones that… weren’t. Adults that ran and weaved and planned. Adults that avoided the twisted Adults, that fought them. Adults with un-twisted faces and bodies. Adults with kind eyes and soft faces, with fluid movement and singing voices. Adults that spoke. Spoke! Mono had gaped when he heard the un-twisted adult talking, and Six had stared, wide-eyed and stone still. They didn’t understand half of what the adult had said, but that didn’t change the fact that it was words. Not grunts, or huffs, or groans. Actual words.
Mono didn’t even know if these were Adults, anymore. They had to be very big children, because Adults did not speak, or run, or fight. No, all they did was hunt, and chase, and scream, or do many other things Mono didn’t understand the meaning of.
The things these Adults did made sense. They were trying to survive like children did. And so, Mono held out hope that maybe these were not Adults after all. He didn’t think Six was as optimistic, but it wasn’t like they talked about it, anyway. Six just followed him, same as always. What did it matter if Mono had started tailing a not-Adult?
The pair had seen a few not-Adults in the midst of the twisted Adults, however, the one they were trailing behind, Mono had taken to calling “Loud”. Sure, he wasn’t the best at naming things but with boots that romped around in the hallways and squeaked on the floors, the name stuck. Whenever he pulled out one of his weapons, the pair of children had to cover their ears. Sometimes, he even shouted things at the twisted Adults, making Mono wonder how Loud had ever survived this long.
Another thing that made him question Loud’s survival instinct was how he kept leaving behind keys. It was very useful, actually; whenever Loud thought he was done with something he would just leave it behind. Much of it was just trash; But once, Loud left behind a small, round and bumpy weapon, and after watching him use another, Six had used hers to explode one of the blind Adults. Mono hadn’t needed to see the grin on her face to know she was absolutely giddy.
~~~
This is all just background that takes place before this and this. Next

Part three of my Resident Evil/Little Nightmares crossover is here, for the few people who care! As stated in the previous part, this was originally one block of writing separated into smaller chunks, so reading the first and previous pieces is highly recommended!
~
“Ada?”
The pair of children froze in their tracks.
“What the…” He patted down his form. “My gun-” Gaze sliding down, his eyes widened a smidge when he was met with two kids standing in the middle of his scattered ammunition. “Hey!”
“Run!” As fast as they could manage, the duo ran for the vents.
“Wait, come back here-!”
Ignoring his call, Six dashed straight for the vent. “Gah!” I can’t reach it without a boost!
“Oi!” Then drop the weapon and run!
“No way!” You drop your key first!
Seeing the not-Adult stagger behind them, Mono shook his head. We need this! Just… Run! He caught sight of an elevator at the end of the hall. “Hey!” That way!
Both children made a mad dash for the elevator. Unfortunately, Loud had longer legs, and unlike most other Adults, he wasn’t afraid to use them. In a few quick strides he was already behind them.
With a grunt, Six bit a loop-like object sticking out of her weapon and pulled it out, before throwing the entire thing behind her.
“Hey! That’s dangerous-!” Loud threw his hand in front of his eyes as a burst of white light blazed across the hall. “Damnit!”
“Ai!” Giving a frantic motion forwards, she urged Mono towards the elevator shaft. He came to a skidding halt in front of the controls, bending down so Six could scuttle on top of him and press the button. “Ah!” I can’t reach!
Biting his lip, he dropped the key and stood up, just tall enough for her to press the scuffed red button. The elevator started promptly, and he breathed a sigh of relief before he heard the tell-tale clatter of Loud’s boots. Six almost crashed to the ground with how Mono whirled around, immediately putting his arms out in front of her.
The not-Adult took a step forward, brows scrunched together as he looked at them. “…Kids?!”
Already backed up against the hand-rail, Mono glanced behind him. Six had grabbed the rail and leaned backwards over the gap between the elevator shaft and the platform. Just as the elevator came to a stop, he grabbed the key and ducked around the safety railing, slipping into empty air.
“Shit, wait!”
A harsh scraping noise followed behind the children as they dove into the shaft, immediately jolting when a pair of hands locked around them. Shell shocked, Mono looked up at their captor… or savior.
Loud gave a strained sigh as he lay, face down with his hands shoved in-between the platform and the wall. “I got you,” he muttered, before struggling to his feet. Determined not to use his hands, it took him a good few seconds before he stood straight and finally got a good look at them. Six, of course, was kicking and squirming in his grip.
“Easy kid,” he said, and paused. “…If you are a kid.” He looked them up and down. With his eyebrows knit together and his lips set in a firm line, he looked like he’d never seen children before. “I’m not going to hurt you, okay?”
Mono blinked, and glanced over at Six, who had started biting the not-Adult’s fingers. Even if Loud hardly reacted, she was determined to leave him with as many cuts as possible.
“Ow, stop, I’m not trying to-”
She just bit down harder.
“Jesus! Calm down!”
Glaring at him with her teeth sunk into his thumb, she jerked her head back, making a large spot of blood well up on his skin. He winced, but staunchly resisted the urge to flinch. With a huff and another hard glare, Six chewed and swallowed whatever she had in her mouth.
Loud clenched his jaw as he looked between the two of them, and his hand, littered with tiny teeth marks. After a moment of consideration, he inhaled. “Listen. I’m going to set you down, and you’re not going to run away, got it?”
Mono tilted his head. He understood… most of that, the question was whether or not his friend would comply.
“Got it?” Loud repeated.
Six turned her head to Mono, and hesitantly, he nodded. She huffed, shooting him a dirty look, but stopped wiggling so much.
“Alright.” Stepping off the elevator, the not-Adult kneeled down and placed the duo on the floor. He took the opportunity to look them over again, with that same air of confusion about him.
Mono had already dropped the key in favor of scooting to Six’s side, grabbing her wrist before she could bolt. Again, she gave him a scowl, but he shook his head and gave a barely perceptible, “Ai.”
~
This was probably one of the more difficult sections to write, because I feel like I don’t have a good enough grasp on Leon’s character, and I suck at action sequences. How’d I do?
Check out the accompanying art for this scene here and here!

Okay, now I have a hand-me-down chromebook and no real excuse not to put the next piece up of my RE2/LN crossover. I should note this is the final piece of the original text blurb, so there may not be any more following this.
~ After a few moments of staring at the pair of children, Loud inhaled. “Okay,” he started, still on one knee, “I have to get this out of the way, first. Are you kids, or some kind of crazy, infected gnome things?” “…?” Turning his face to Six, Mono blinked. She gave him a blank stare in return— So she hadn’t understood half of that, either. Looking back to the not-Adult, he shrugged. “You don’t know?” That was clear enough to understand, so he nodded.
Once more, Loud’s features scrunched up in bewilderment. “Can you talk? I heard you yelling, earlier.” With his free hand, Mono waved in a so-so gesture. “A little bit?” The not-Adult seemed nice enough, so he dared to give a verbal, “Ay.”
“Yeah? Okay…” Blowing a puff of air between his lips, Loud ran a hand through his hair. “Do you have names? My name’s Leon, Leon Kennedy.” Leon? Mono’s expression twisted under his paper bag. “Loud” was definitely a better name for him, seeing as how he was really, really talkative. At least they both started with the “L” sound.
Shaking off his thoughts, Mono moved his gaze to Six, who preemptively frowned. He ignored her, knowing she would object no matter what he thought, and pointed. “Six.” Then he pointed at himself. “Mono.” “Six and Mono, huh?” Leon sucked in a breath. “Why were you trying to steal my stuff?”
It took a minute for Mono to process what he’d said. “…oi,” he answered quietly, motioning with his arm. We need to keep moving. Judging by his expression, Leon didn’t understand. Sighing, Mono raised his voice a little. “Live.” “ ‘Live’?” Leon repeated. “Live… like, survive? You’re trying to survive?” That sounded about right, so he nodded. “You don’t gotta steal my stuff to survive, buddy.” Expression relaxing slightly, Leon leaned forward— and the children immediately stepped back. “Ah, easy,” he murmured, raising his hands. “I’m not going to attack you, okay? I want to help.”
Mono and Six looked at eachother, the latter shaking her head. “Oy.” I don’t trust him. “Mmn,” he huffed in response. You didn’t trust me. “Ai!” Look at him! She indicated, before stomping angrily. He’s an Adult! “No.” Doesn’t look like any Adult I’ve seen. Tugging on his hand, she turned away. “Oi.” We should run. Leave him behind. If you don’t come with me I’ll go by myself! “Hey.” Mono grabbed her arm with both hands and gave a squeeze. “Please.” Let’s give him a chance. ”Ugh!” She balled her fists and ripped her arm away, hissing. Fine! But I’m running the moment he turns on us, with or without you!
When he moved to face Leon, the adult was staring. “Were you… talking?” “Ay.” “Huh…” He put a hand to his chin in thought. “That’s… Okay. Can I ask what you were talking about?” Once again, Mono pointed, trying to repeat the man’s name. “Lee-on.” “You were talking about me?” Another nod. “Are you… scared of me?” he asked, brows scrunching back together.
Pausing, Mono looked to Six, who denied it right away. With a sigh, he moved his eyes back to the adult, towering over them even as he sat on one leg. How easy would it be for those hands to crush his head? For those weapons to blow them to pieces? And more importantly, why hadn’t Leon done any of those things? “Leon,” he started, voice shakey. “Nice? Want… to help. Us?” His words were choppy, accented with some unidentifiable, childish static. Needless to say, he wasn’t used to talking in sentences.
“Yeah,” Leon answered, offering a hand. “I want to help you.” Both Mono and Six narrowed their eyes and stared hard at the adult. “Why?” the former asked breathily. “Because I’m a police officer. It’s my job to help people, especially kids like you.”
“No,” Six spoke up for the first time, voice sharp. Though she couldn’t understand the complex words, she understood Leon’s tone well enough. “No.” He’s making it up. Adults don’t help children! “ ‘No’?” Exhaling heavily, Leon straightened. “Listen, I know you don’t trust me, but we don’t have time to argue. It’s dangerous for you two to be running around on your own.” The pair flinched as his voice hardened. “Dain…jer…us?” Mono copied, while Six grabbed his hand and tugged. “Yeah, that’s right, it’s not safe.”
Gaze darting between her and the adult, Mono made up his mind. “We,” he faced Six and tightened his grip, before gesturing to Leon. “Follow.” “Gah!” she exclaimed. Fine. Whatever! Don’t blame me when he tries to kill us!

It's late and I'm too tired to plug in the links for the previous pieces, I will be adding them later. (Edit: Here they are.) First | Previous | Next(ish)

Part two is here! It was originally just one big block of text that I’ve split into smaller sections, and this comes directly after the first piece so the previous part is very necessary for understanding what’s happening!
~
Despite his habits, Loud continued to survive, and so Mono and Six kept following him. Making sure to always stay out of sight, while getting to see many things. Monsters, like a large Adult that marched forward with boots even louder than Loud. And more not-Adults, two that died, and one that stayed with Loud for a little while.
Six had pointed at Loud and the one that stayed, comparing the pair to themselves. She seemed to think she was like the other not-adult, a woman with dark glasses and a cool temperament. Nose wrinkled under his bag, Mono had shaken his head. The woman had saved Loud from the Adults, just like how Mono saved Six many times.
Until Loud saved the woman, hurting himself in the process.
Six had folded her arms and smirked, but Mono was more concerned for their guide. They needed to keep moving, and Loud was their way forward. Without him, they had no defense against the twisted Adults that came by. And if he wasn’t going to move, they had to just continue on without him.
He seemed soundly asleep, at least for now. His body slumped and unmoving against the wall where the glasses woman had carefully laid him. Mono, still debating what to do, failed to notice Six approaching Loud. She kicked him once to see if he was still alive.
Turning around, Mono saw her standing right next to Loud’s boot and panicked.
“Oi…!” What are you doing?!
Six gestured. “…ahh.” He has weapons we can use.
Spreading his arms wide and pointing, Mono indicated, He’s still alive. Then he tilted his head. How would we use his weapons?! You can barely hold one of those round things!
“Fight.” She crossed her arms. He has lots of weapons. I’ll find something.
With that, she started poking around the unconscious not-Adult, and Mono sighed. Well, he had been wanting to pocket one of the keys Loud had held onto, plus the not-adult seemed firmly asleep. Shaking himself, Mono clambered out of the vent he’d been hiding in, and nervously paced up to Loud. Though the glasses woman had bandaged his wound, it still looked pretty serious.
Maybe this would be fine, after all?
As his partner started pulling out the ammunition from Loud’s weaponry, Mono started digging through numerous oversized pockets. He pulled out bundles of plants, spare ammunition, a knife… But where was the key? Staring up at the imposing not-Adult’s figure, Mono inhaled, and clambered on top of him.
“Oi!” Six gasped. Are you crazy?
He grunted in response as he peeled open a satchel. This was your idea! A little “Ah.” escaped his lips when he finally found the key.
Grabbing a weapon similar to the round exploding one she liked, Six did her best to motion while her arms were full. “Hey!” You got the stupid key. Let’s go!
“Okay.” I’m going, I’m going! Mono huffed, realizing that the fancy key wouldn’t fit under his coat like the others. He’d just have to carry it with both hands. As he slipped his way down Loud’s sleeping form, he kept a tight hold of it, right up until he dropped back to the floor.
The key clattered, and he bit his tongue.
With a groan, Loud shifted, his arm almost knocking into Mono.
“Ah!” Holding her new weapon tight, Six turned around. You dummy!
Mono fumbled with the key for a second, before picking it up and dashing in her direction. He could hear Loud mumbling something, before the not-Adult sucked in a breath.
“Ada?”
~
What do you think? I wanted to have Mono and Six communicating, but that clashes with the original games’ lack of dialogue. The heavy silence is a big part of the atmosphere, and the children had no one to teach them proper language, so they use mostly non-verbal ques!
