“Put the gun down and back away.”

A cold voice echoes throughout the lab. You turn around to see a woman, with sleek black hair and an enticing look, almost pulling you in with just her eyes.

You drop your gun and put your hands behind your head, as the woman was holding you at gun point, her aim being directly at your heart.

“Hey, hey. Drop the gun please, don’t shoot me.”

You say in a rather calm manner despite your situation, trying your hardest to de-escalate.

“I can’t, not quite yet anyways.”

The woman approaches you, readjusting her aim towards the exact same spot as she cautiously kicks your gun away.

“So, mystery woman, what’s your name?”

You ask, praying your charm can wean you out of this situation. You had no clue were you even were— you just kind of woke up there, and started looking around trying to find a hint as to how to leave.

“You first.”

She winks at you, teasing you slightly while still keeping her stone-cold facade up. She approaches you and presses her gun to your chest, bending down to come eye to eye with you. You swallow hard, staring deeply into her eyes, searching for any ounce of sympathy that will make her not go through with this.

“Y/N. My name is Y/N. Please put the gun down, and we can just talk about this—“

She lifts the gun, and points it to your head teasingly before placing it in its holster and grabbing your hand to help you up.

“So what’s someone like you doing down here? Hm?”

You struggle to come up with a convenient lie, as revealing that you were a PI hired to investigate Umbrella would get you into, let’s just say, a bad situation. Plus, you didn’t even know this woman. She could be working for Umbrella. Although, you seriously doubt it.

“Oh— I was just… I got lost…?”

You flash a nervous smile, praying she would accept your terribly crafted and painfully obvious lie. Her dark eyes glance around the room the lock onto your own.

“Hm, okay then.”

She smirks, knowing you have lied, but she could honestly care less about you or why you were even there.

“So, pretty girl, what’re you doing here? Hm?”

You hold onto her hand, pulling her closer in and staring deeply into her eyes. You can’t lie, she’s beautiful. Her short black her perfectly complimenting her small red dress and her dainty yet athletic build. She blushes, her eyes revealing a glint of vulnerability through her cold persona.

"Buisness. The rests a secret."

Her tone hardens, as she turns her head to look around the room, visibly nervous. She walks away from you and begins digging through random files.

"Theres no new information there. Just public stuff."

You let her know, slowly approaching her from behind and placing a hand on her shoulder and another on her waist. She turns her head in suprise of your touch, but not protesting against it. She actually leans into it, her eyes widening and her gaze becoming soft.

You stare deeply into her eyes, looking for that hint of lust you so badly needed out of her. She stares back, doing the exact same thing. There is an atleast 2 minute period of silence before she places a hand on your cheek and kisses you, breaking the tension in the room.

You kiss her back, using hour tongue to explore every inch of her mouth before placing your hands on her ass and letting out small moans when you both pull away to catch a breath.

She takes the hand that was on your cheek and slides it down your pants and into your panties, finding that they are already soaked with your slick, your cunt practically begging for her.

"You're so wet already, Y/N. Is it this easy for all the girls you get with?"

Tired of ppl erasing Leon's flaws. Anyway, resident evil 4 remake analysis:

The funny thing with the remake is, they didn't actually write out Leon's misogyny from the og; they simply recontextualised it. He no longer says "following a lady's lead just isn't my style", but he DOES say "maybe you aren't heartless after all" to a woman who's saved his life and the life of Ashley countless of times. Hell, Ada is the reason Leon lives past Mendéz, she's the reason he finds Ashley again, she's the reason he is able to find anything in that place, and he still has the audacity to act like she doesn't care, or worse, that she's completely heartless, just because he got his wittol feewings huwt.

Leon's so selfishly caught up in making it entirely personal, even when she established that it wasn't, that he's letting his butthurt feelings literally warp his perception of her into something monstrous. He is quite literally the "one woman wronged me in the slightest way so I will distrust and despise her forever but actually it was just my entitled ass demanding more than she ever consented to give" kind of incel. All she did was kiss him in re2r, she NEVER said it meant anything, or that - fucking hell - she'd be committing to him in any way. I mean the very fact that she should have shot him to get the sample but didn't should be the biggest proof, to the audience and to Leon, that she truly cares and just didn't want him to get caught up in her work, which she actively recognises is not morally sound work.

Also, Leon never once stopped to care about or consider her own turmoil about it?? Every time they talked it was about his feelings and his sense of betrayal and "or are you just using me again", it was never about her. She cares more about him than he cares about her and it breaks my heart. He only cares about himself in this situation, he only cares about how Ada's actions affected him through his own lens, he only cares about his own hurt and doesn't stop for a second to consider hers. He doesn't see Ada as her own person, he sees her for what she could do for, or to, him. He sees her as a projection of who he wanted her to be, not as a person. And that's misogyny at its core.

And as for the fans ignoring every wrong thing Leon has ever done, and instead hating Ada for doing nothing wrong, that too is misogyny :)

Edit to add: it's most clear in how Leon treats Krauser in the exact opposite way. Despite Krauser being a power hungry maniac who killed Luis in front of Leon, Leon still appeals to Krauser's honour, he still tries to put himself in Krauser's shoes and says he "understands" the pain and betrayal Krauser must have felt. And these are all normal, natural reactions to seeing someone you used to respect and admire fall short. But the point is, he reacts this way with Krauser because he saw Krauser as a human being capable of good, whereas he only saw Ada as a projection of who he wanted her to be, and when she wasn't actually like that, he hated her for it.

Capcom's misogyny infects everything they make, and while they genuinely tried making Leon no longer misogynistic, this kinda thing still slipped through because Capcom only sees Ada as a romantic extension of Leon.

Edit again: Another thing is that just because you might think something is in character for Leon/makes sense for him to feel/act a certain way, that doesn't inherently mean he's right to. Like, Leon's an unreliable narrator a LOT of the time - anyone who has survivor's guilt like he does is gonna be. Just because you think it "makes sense" or you understand why he'd be upset, doesn't mean he's in the right to treat Ada the way he did. Leon was also understandably upset with Krauser and his actions, even saying Krauser "won't get away with this", and yet he still approaches Krauser with respect, and tries to empathise with Krauser's experiences. I just need people to understand that this double standard from Leon is obvious and misogynistic, that's all.

Aeon fic rec pt. 2

As this fic rec was getting a little old (four years ago already!) and too many of the fics on it had been deleted, I figured it was time for a remake. Please enjoy this new list of my favorite aeon fanfictions!

to our phantoms yet to come (teatin). Teatin is a pillar in the aeon fanfic writer community, and this is her latest creation. It follows Leon in the aftermath of RE4R, and his struggle to rebuild his trust in Ada. Poetic, angsty, sexy... it's got it all, and I consider this work canon until proved otherwise!

there be dragons (lordbhreanna). A four chaptered exploration of a 'what if?' RE2R scenario. What if... Ada was never shot by Annette and escaped Raccoon City with Leon, Claire and Sherry? So in-character you'll cry for more.

Homesick (eya_silvers, A.K.A me). Set after RE6, this fic explores a scenario in which Ada moves in with Leon. Settle down for domestic fluff, Leon being stubborn and blind and Ada being stubborn and elusive, as well as some angsty and sexy times, and you've got yourself a nice long novel to read during your insomniac night.

let's see how deep the bullet lies (chaotic3vil). Short but angst-full, it'll have you cry if you decide to act the scene out like I did. Can be summed up in one simple prompt: "What would it take for Ada Wong to break?"

Fallen Angel (romanticprism). Ada finds an orphan child in the middle of the warzone and decides to give her the life she deserves... with the help of the only man she trusts. This is the aeon as parents fic you've dreamed of.

Locked and Loaded (nuricurry). The three S: Sad, Suicidal, and Sexy. Or: Ada likes to point her gun but she can never really pull the trigger.

It's Cold Outside But I'm Burning (blaircow). Four walls, two people, one conversation. Let's all harass the author for more chapters because damn this is good!

Just Me and You (AzuraJae). Another aeon parents fic!! After the events of RE6 and Vendetta, Ada drops a baby on Leon's doorstep... is he ready to be a dad? And does she have what it takes to be a mom?

all the roads we didn't walk (teatin). I adore this one so much. Basically six fics in one, it's taking the concept of multiverse and applying it to aeon in heart-breaking and tooth-rotting ways. If you don't want to cry, don't read it. If you do, oooh boy!

scales and measures (whatsarasays). One step forward, two steps back with aeon. They don't trust each other, yet they do, they can't love each other, yet they want to... this fic is a whirlwind of emotions and opposing feelings.

Carmen (eya_silvers). Following a battle against a bioterrorist, Ada and Leon get infected and... swap bodies. They now have to find a way to get back to themselves, as well as navigate the issues of their relationship and end a potential biohazard war. Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of push from the universe to be able to see yourself in the other's eye...

Of Things Unseen (jcavero). After Spain, Leon and Ashley have to get back to their own life, but the losses are great and traumas are deep. Slowly, they both push each other to the path of healing. Perhaps Leon can have closure with Ada too. All the relationships in this fic are so great and I absolutely adore introspective fics.

Ada & Leon - Leaks

I'm just gonna put a read more cut here, because I have a lot of thoughts.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I think Capcom are going to make me actively dislike one of my fav characters in RE4r. With all the reviews coming out and being negative about Ada I had to go find the rest of the leaks and see for myself.

But I think Capcom are going to do it. They're going to make me dislike RE4r Ada. Like yes, the VA isn't good and I don't like her outfit, but that's just surface level. Beyond that it really looks like they've cut down her involvement in the main story. She doesn't show up during that first fight against Krauser, and there hasn't been a mention of her other scenes such as the one where Leon tries to strangle her. And I mean that alone would have been disappointing, but fine. It's a remake, stuff is not going to be the same.

But I gotta admit I don't like the way they've written her. First that scene with Luis where he is crawling up to her, I really don't like the framing of it and her bitch face. Now the reunion scene with Leon. She tells him:

'You leave now and who knows? Maybe you'll live to meet me again. And I might give you that 'greeting' you were looking for."

Umm, excuse me Capcom? Why would you write her treating Leon with such contempt? Especially after you've gone out of your way to make him an ever more tragic character. This would have felt out of place in the original, but it feels especially bad here. Here we have Leon obviously hallowed out by the past 6 years. His characterisation is especially jarring, because we got to see him be so vibrant and full of hope in Re2r.

To that she says:

"You, Leon S Kennedy? You haven't changed. You just think you have."

I mean, yes, the core aspect of him wanting to save people hasn't. But so much about him has been crushed that it's unacceptable for Ada to just say that to his face with that tone. This isn't a positive encouraging kind of statement. It is an 'I know you better than you know yourself, even though we've only met briefly 6 years ago' kind of statement. There is superiority and slight mockery in her tone.

Maybe this wouldn't sound so bad if it wasn't for the VA, but from what I've seen the VA has nailed the characterisation perfectly. And we doubted her.

Like I understand that there was no love confession the way there was in RE2, but I honestly liked the more mature take on their relationship in Re2r. It wasn't an instant 'you are the love of my life' thing, it was more realistic. There was a connection, chemistry and the hurt of betrayal. I wanted to see how Capcom would develop a more realistic relationship between them in RE4r. Instead the writing team has decided to completely drop the ball on this one and ignore decades of established canon. I would love to see an interview where they explain their thought process behind this decision.

This honestly feels like Ada's been written by someone who has the worst interpretation possible of her character. I don't think Separate Ways can fix this. We are going to see all of her scenes with Leon in the main game. SW is going to have a hell of an explaining to do if it wants to fix this.

Also, can we talk about the way she so casually offers herself to Leon in that reunion scene? She does it so coldly and Leon doesn't react, so I can't tell if it's a poorly written or a poorly delivered line. Either way, I dislike the idea of her viewing intimacy with Leon in such a transactional way. Especially after what we've seen in Re2r, Damnation and Re6.

And for some weird reason they've written Leon trying to reach out to her? They haven't just decided 'no more romance'. In that boat scene he asks "Have you changed, Ada? Or are you just trying to use me again?" And I can't tell if it's the poor video quality of the leak or if that's how the scene is, but he looks so anguished. It breaks my heart. She replies with "What do you think? Don't think too hard, handsome." It's so patronising. I hate it here.

Like no wonder Leon doesn't mention her in the final scene. She doesn't deserve it the way they've written her. And I just don't understand why Capcom would do that.

I will be writing a fix it fic once I'm done with the game. I will need it.
