Between them is the prize: a four tiered monstrosity of beef, cheese, and dripping bacon. And a bun, shockingly.

A mouse in the house doesn't bother him. It being so close to his masterpiece does.

1. this isn't specifically a plotting idea, but i think it would be interesting for chip and the ink demon to meet. especially because he is not used to seeing toons that weren't from his studio. i think he would be very curious about chip! cautious, but curious about how an outsider ended up there.

2. for my cartoon verse, chip getting roped along into a scheme with bendy. this imp doesn't think pranks through and has a tendency to get himself ( and anyone with him ) into trouble haha. i can see chip being the voice of reason, as bendy doesn't have a drop of common sense in him

okay so if i ignore the inconvenient fact that jiminy was actually one of the toons caught up in the whole bootlegging thing, i feel like he'd... Probably actually be in a semi-similar situation as what we see near the start of the chip & dale film, where he's very much past his peak years in terms of fame and acting opportunities and now he's just - gosh i don't even know what his backup career would be. toon therapist maybe. the worst one you can imagine, probably, but still. anyway that could be an interesting dynamic to explore, the whole 'i'm kind of deeply unsatisfied with where i'm at currently but what can you do, y'know' sort of thing

this is more out there but back in around the 50s or so there was an entire handful of shorts / records / comics in which jiminy was deputized, for some fucking reason, by walt disney and honestly he's probably clung to that ever since then and genuinely still claims to be a private eye. butting into situations he is not capable of solving because he's a know-it-all. he's twice as much of an insufferable little asshole in this scenario, but it could be fun

in general, there's just the opportunity for small person solidarity. he has very few acquaintances that are even remotely close to his height so like who is he supposed to walk through air vents or something with you know

Company parties... He usually avoided these things but it was a major anniversary for his movie. He was supposed to be there and they already roped him into the Secret Santa. "Uh, Flip- I mean, Chip. Uh..." He tapped his fingers together, looking exhausted and a little awkward. He should have been bringing up how grateful he was to have Sneezy back and in one one full celluloid, but the words didn't arrive that easily. "Erm... uh... Seems I'm yer Secret Santa." He moved aside, revealing a basket of... nuts. It wasn't the most creative. Some were covered in chocolate. There was some peanut brittle. There was even a jar of homemade peanut butter with cinnamon and honey. Near the back, separated from everything else, were peanut butter dog cookies. "Ain't seem right if m'gonna spend all day in the kitchen an' find out y'got a guppy- uh, puppy. Gotta make sure there's a lil' Christmas fer yer dog." He stepped off to the side and held his arms behind his back. "Uh..." Well. Say something. Say thank you! "Sorry it ain't much." Idiot!

“Chip, look out!” Nick soon lunged at the chipmunk, getting them out of the way, out of harm’s way. While he does respect others’ boundaries, this was one of those times where he would have to break that boundary to make sure that the other doesn’t get hurt.

He swears this day just keeps getting weirder and weirder. Shaking his head at what he’s trying to currently process, he wonders if this is the cause of someone’s magic. Not FAR from consideration when it comes to any talking animals, but it’d be nice if things could just.. stop there.

But no. There’s a howling further in the woods. Loud enough that Ruddiger, his racoon, quickly dives into his bag that he carries around with him. All Varian wanted to do today was get supplies for his work. 

“Okay so that’s probably wolves. And I don’t think you want to be out there when they get closer. So do you want to come along back to my lab or not? It’s not safe out here, especially alone.” 

It’s not like he’d willingly leave someone, critter or human, out here regardless. Rapunzel wouldn’t let him hear the end of it if he didn’t help. Plus he’s not like that anyway. Still, he holds out his hand, an offer to jump on so he can quickly get out of the woods while they have a chance.

He was cut off by Chip's choice of words as he then remained rather silent for a few minutes before finally speaking. "Got it." He sighed, turning to walk in the direction of his room he's been put in. "I was worried about you, pal. I just..." He trailed off, soon remaining silent once again.
