Today, the IPL started. Me and my friend, who visited our house today, were sitting on the bed and talking about the new RCB Jersey and how we were missing Virat Kohli and MSD in the tossing round. Then suddenly, the national anthem started and we jumped out of our bed, stood infront of the tv and sang it in a whisper along with my ma. That is when I realised that this is my last time singing national anthem with her, like this. Everyday, we used to do the prayer and anthem in our school. As our class 10 is over, she changed her school. We have been friends for 11 years. So when this realisation hit me, my eyes filled up with water, fighting to come out. I controlled it. We won't be singing it like this anymore, we are getting older. But anyways, this is what life is.

Check Out The Lowest Team Totals In IPL
Tumblr media
In the Indian Premier League, bowlers have sometimes surpassed hitters despite the league's reputation for rapid scoring and big runs. Over the 16-year history of the competition, bowling attacks have destroyed star-studded batting lineups. The notorious record for the lowest score in IPL history belongs to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). When they were eliminated for just 49 runs in 9.4 overs against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens on April 23, 2017, they smashed the previous record of 58 runs set by the Rajasthan Royals against the RCB itself in Cape Town in 2009. The lowest IPL 2024 total was that of the Gujarat Titans. The lowest score GT has ever had in IPL history was just 89 runs in 17.3 overs. Rashid Khan was the top scorer with 31 runs. Furthermore, in 2.3 overs, Delhi's Mukesh Kumar grabbed 3/14. Let's see which is the lowest score in IPL ever.
Royal Challengers Bangalore - 49 runs (vs Kolkata Knight Riders, Kolkata 2017)
As far as IPL scores go, Royal Challengers Bengaluru holds the record. At Eden Gardens in 2017, RCB made the lowest score in IPL against the Kolkata Knight Riders and went on to make history. With 131 runs in 19.3 overs, KKR won this low-scoring match. The score was below average, despite RCB being the favorites going into the chase. Prior to the match, RCB was the overwhelming favorite, and the score was below average. However, the second inning was even worse. As the KKR bowlers dominated the RCB, no batter reached double digits. RCB lost the game with just 49 runs in 9.4 overs. Kedar Jadhav was their top scorer with nine runs.
Rajasthan Royals - 58 runs (vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Cape Town 2009)
Just nine runs short of the lowest-ever IPL total, the Rajasthan Royals made the second-lowest team overall. When they participated in the 2009 competition against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, they had it. It was only the second game of the season in Cape Town. To start things off, RCB won the toss and batted first. RCB likewise got off to a sluggish start, scoring only three runs from their top three. They reached 133/8 in 20 overs with 66 off 48 from Rahul Dravid. Rajasthan was knocked out for just 58 runs in 17.1 overs, with leg-spinner Anil Kumble taking a wicket for just five runs in 3.1 overs. Except for Yusuf Pathan, Tyron Henderson, and Yusuf Pathan, who each scored 11, none of their batters reached double digits. Rahul Dravid won the game by 75 runs thanks to his 66 off 48 deliveries, earning him the title of Man of the Match.
Rajasthan Royals - 59 runs (vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Jaipur 2023)
The third-lowest cricket score in IPL history occurred during the 2023 season. The season's 60th game between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru took place in Jaipur. In IPL history, the 2023 season had the third-lowest score. The 60th game of the season was contested in Jaipur between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Batting first, RCB reached a challenging 171/5. While attempting to score, both RR openers were unsuccessful. Only Shimron Hetmyer (35) and Joe Root (10) reached double figures, and without Hetmyer, the Royals may have had the lowest IPL total ever. Despite just playing 10.3 overs and scoring 59 runs, they were defeated by 112 runs. Wayne Parnell's three overs saw him take three wickets for 10.

[ad_1] Ajaz Patel won the player of the match award (Image: BCCI) Amid all the anger, the IPL is always a soft target. India have lost a home series – emphatically so – and hence it is time to blame the IPL. Blame the retention process, for that’s what must have occupied the players mind space’ before this Test. Nothing could be more wrong. Let’s deep dive to explore this a little. For a second, assume that the IPL retention was on the players’ minds. The one who was deeply involved in the retention drama and who decided at the last to put himself into the auction was Rishabh Pant. And needless to say, Pant was India’s best batter by a country mile in Mumbai. Clearly, it wasn’t about retention or any such thing. Rohit Sharma’s retention was never in doubt. Mumbai had taken these calls weeks earlier, and never was there any doubt over it. The same can be said of Virat Kohli. That RCB would retain him was never up for debate, so to say his mind was on the retention is pure nonsense. I would argue the same for Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, who form the new core of India’s batting. And Sarfaraz Khan was never going to be retained, so he would also not have been influenced by the drama playing out in the background. To target the IPL retention is the easy way out. And by doing so, we are actually not addressing the elephant in the room. Had it been retention, it was a short-term thing. Now that the retention is done, the problem should also be sorted. This series could be passed off as an aberration. The truth is, it isn’t. Rather, this series is further evidence that India’s Test match batting is in decline and needs urgent correction. And that’s not because of the IPL retentions. Tactical shortcomings were a major reason behind India suffering their first-ever whitewash on home soil in a series of three or more Tests.@atreyom #INDvNZ #IndiaVsNewZealand @BCCI https://t.co/vzcTppCZPE — RevSportz Global (@RevSportzGlobal) November 3, 2024   The solution is staring us in the face. Prepare good batting wickets to get your confidence back. These slow turners or rank turners, however you want to describe them, aren’t helping. You are mentally scarred at the moment, and by repeating the same mistakes over and over again, you are only adding to your misery. And when such things start to happen, they always have a tendency to spiral out of control. Rohit won the toss in Bengaluru, and made a horrendous blunder in batting first. Then, in the next two, he did not win the toss and luck did not go his way either. His poor batting form did not help, and with each passing innings, things went from bad to worse. Interestingly, India play the next 10 Tests away from home – five in Australia and five in England. In both cases, India don’t prepare the decks and it is good that there will not be focus on such issues. Rather, they will have to play on the surfaces that are on offer, and that might just bring Jasprit Bumrah into play. Cricket is the most individual of all team sports, and that’s what India will need to bank on at the moment. Just like Ajinkya Rahane’s 116 in Melbourne in 2020, we need an inspirational effort from someone to make things happen. Sport always gives you a second chance, and now, the challenge for Rohit and Gautam Gambhir will be to forget this humiliation and move ahead. What’s done is done. The future is in their hands. “It is quite tough and it tells you nothing is easy in life,” Rohit said about the humiliating 0-3 series loss to New Zealand in the post-match press conference #INDvNZ #INDvsNZ@CricSubhayan https://t.co/ZAeykZNLeN — RevSportz Global (@RevSportzGlobal) November 3, 2024   The post IPL retention a red herring, when the real culprit is India getting trapped in a spin cycle appeared first on Sports News Portal | Latest Sports Articles | Revsports. RR s RCB : IPL 2024 Eliminator Expected Lineup Live Toss, 100% Prediction & Which Team Will Win?
The following is a look at the Playing XI predictions, head-to-head statistics, venue records, pitch, and weather updates for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 Eliminator match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Tumblr media
Match Preview
A match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers is taking place today in Bengaluru. On Wednesday, a crucial Indian Premier League eliminator will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The match will be between the high-flying Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), captained by Faf du Plessis, and the Rajasthan Royals, who are battling under the leadership of Sanju Samson.
At one point, it seemed as if the Royals were going to finish in first place in the league stage. However, after suffering a series of four losses and a washout in their last match against KKR, Sanju Samson's team ended up in third place, with Sunrisers Hyderabad being the team that finished ahead of them. In contrast, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has clawed its way back from the verge of elimination in a remarkable manner. Following a string of seven consecutive defeats in their first eight matches of the season, the team captained by Faf du Plessis went on an incredible run, and only a few nights ago, they eventually defeated the reigning champions, the Chennai Super Kings, to secure a spot in the playoffs.
RR vs RCB: Pitch Report
Narendra Modi Stadium's surface is fair and equal, designed to accommodate the abilities of all different kinds of players. There is a possibility that the wicket could begin to show signs of wear as the season comes to a close, which may provide the spinners with a little extra help.

RCB Ends 16-Year Title Wait, Defeats DC by 8 Wickets to Secure WPL 2024 Championship
In a thrilling showdown at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, March 17th, Royal Challengers Bangalore won over Delhi Capitals in the final of the 2024 Women’s Premier League, putting an end to their 16-year quest for the trophy. RCB secured a massive eight-wicket win, securing the desirable WPL title in style.
RCB moved to victory in their pursuit of 114 runs against DC, securing their inaugural WPL title. An impressive performance in the first innings by RCB's spin attack paved the way for their historic triumph, marking the franchise's first-ever trophy win.
In New Delhi, Sophie Molinuex and Shreyanka Patil delivered a mesmerizing display of spin bowling that shattered DC's hopes. Despite DC's strong start at 64 for no loss, Molinuex's entry into the attack completely altered the game's dynamics, as she swiftly took three wickets in a single over.
In a single over, she dismantled DC's top order, dismissing the intimidating Shafali Varma, the in-form Jemmimah Rodrigues, and the hard-hitting Alice Capsey. Supported by Shreyanka's impressive four-wicket haul, her spell contributed significantly to RCB restricting DC to a mere 113 runs in the final.
In pursuit of the modest target, Smriti Mandhana, Sophie Devine, and Ellyse Perry made notable contributions, steering RCB to a comfortable victory in New Delhi.
Shreyanka claimed the Purple Cap, surpassing Molinuex and Asha Sobhana, concluding the tournament with 13 wickets in eight matches. On the other hand, Perry claimed the Orange Cap, outperforming Meg Lanning for the honor.
1. WPL 2024 Final: A Live Recap
Tumblr media
In the final, DC skipper Lanning won the toss and elected to bat. Lanning and Shafali initiated an intense start for DC, recording the highest powerplay score in WPL 2024.
Shafali was in full swing, set to be the first Indian to achieve a half-century in a WPL final. She especially targeted Renuka Singh, striking her for 19 runs in an over. Nevertheless, her aggressive 44-run innings from 27 balls, featuring two boundaries and three impressive sixes, was halted by Molineux.
