ok so to make a long story short, i was working on a game with a friend, but we don't talk anymore and id hate to just let the idea go to waste.

the game is a yandere visual novel dating sim. the player is a new student at Northride College and the dating options (which again, are all yanderes) are the club leaders of said college.

btw for the lane fans i am currently rewriting their original story! this time from the perspective of one of their "victims". no promises, but it should be ready soon depending on my mood and energy levels :) first few paragraphs under the cut!

I groaned and shifted onto my side when I felt a sudden gush of freezing wind. Looking from my bed, I could see that the window was open, and furrowed my eyebrows in slight confusion. I always close it, especially during cold days like the ones we’ve been having in Manchester this time of the year. Must have forgotten. My day in the coffee shop I work at was full, and I climbed into bed as soon as I got home. The things that clients screaming at you for not putting enough milk in their latte will do to your energy levels.

I awoke in the middle of a cold, rainy autumn night. The streetlamp outside kept flickering, just as it had for the previous week. I tried closing the blinds, but they were not thick enough to obscure the brightness of the artificial light right outside my window. The flickering lights and the nonstop buzzing noise took some getting used to, and earned me a very obvious set of eyebags.

Right as I closed my eyes, determined to go back to sleep, Athena started to meow somewhere in my bedroom. I couldn’t help but groan in annoyance. She hardly makes any noise, why now when I have an early shift in the morning? “Athena, quiet.” I grumbled groggily, pulling the covers over my shoulders. Another meow, louder this time. “Athena, please.”

Another one. I sit up on the bed, turning towards where the sounds are coming from, ready to scold her. However, I pause. The streetlamp flickered just in time for me to catch… something in the corner of my room near the window. I narrow my eyes, trying to see better in the now darkness. There was a chair there, I probably just threw a coat over it and that’s what’s causing the silhouette. My mind seems satisfied with this explanation, and the small rush of anxiety that washed over me went away just as quickly. When I heard Athena purring, however, it came back twice as strong. It wasn’t just her purring, I could hear the sound of something gently scratching against a soft surface, fur perhaps. I freeze again. Athena doesn’t even purr for me.
