I don't have a server, I just hang out in other people's OC channels sometimes.

At some point maybe I'll make my own, but that'd be waaaaay in the future, I don't have the energy to run anything like that right now.

I want to make one, but I've consistently hit two problems every time the subject comes up:

I'm not really mentally well enough to actively run one by myself.

I tend to be kind of a hermit and can't really keep up with most servers.

At some point in the future I may give it a go, but I'd need to look into hiring moderators. Just starting a server while knowing I'm not able to keep up doesn't feel very responsible, and is a recipe for it turning into an uncontrolled trash fire.

Short version: No, but maybe at some point.

Question about asks

Because I’ve gotten very mixed results when just winging it:

When answering asks, do people prefer less frequent posts with more high quality drawings, or lower quality but being able to answer them faster/more consistently?

I got a massive backlog of asks going all the way back to over two years ago that I’ve been putting off because of the amount of work involved in making the art for them. I COULD start clearing them out faster, but that would require reducing the quality and going back to more sketchy responses.

(I do know that the correct answer is “who cares what people like, do whatever the hell you want,” but I am genuinely curious about if there’s a preference for quantity vs quality when it comes to posting art)

Yes... aaaaand no.

Blanche doesn't, and never has had any real desire to kill and eat people. The incident (gore warning!) was caused by a combination of starvation, anger, and indignation from getting ordered around by creatures she considers weak or beneath her. (Being a seven feet tall lion-cow who can crush your skull in her fist, this means basically everyone.)

With that said, even if it's not something she does anymore, Blanche doesn't feel bad about it, and considers it "natural." You know, like a bipedal cat who lives in a mansion and wears clothes, which is just like nature intended.

Margaret takes advantage of this, and occasionally asks her to make an example of someone. Chewing someone's face off really does wonders for keeping enemies and competitors away.

More importantly though, it gives Blanche a very scary reputation, and ensures that no one will try to get close to her. Margaret needs her to be as isolated as possible, which keeps her extremely devoted to her boss and no one else.

To get back to your question... Yeah, I guess, in theory you could use a phoenix as an infinite meat farm. But also, why? Blanche is filthy rich and already has an infinite source of whatever she wants.

Also, she prefers fish, and those little chocolate mousse dome things with the raspberry on top. You know the ones.

I’ve decided that living objects may just be for realsies sentient, just because it’s way more interesting, I can justify putting people’s cars in the character list, and works better with the whole cartoon thing this setting has going on.

Also I find the concept of accidentally pissing off your bookcase or having a depressed couch very funny.

alrighty, heres a wacky question. For the magic name stipulations, what if one were to hear/ see their name in a different language? (a therewoof seeing someone sign their name in ASL, an elf named Jesus hearing someone call out 'Chuy', etc)

Elves actually work a little differently! It doesn't matter if they hear it or not; you have to actually know what their name is for them to lose power over you.

Imma say therewoof ASL thing works though, because that's funny.

Fun fact, I actually pulled both of these straight from folklore without really changing anything. The elf one from the many, many stories about finding out a fae's true name to render them harmless.

The werewolf one has a few variations; some stories require you to also know and recognize the person to cure them, but that doesn't really work for a dog, so I just went with the usual 'saying their name out loud' thing.
