I love how Tubbo who is notorious for constantly breaking the forth wall by putting real in game mechanics to explain lore and roleplay doesn't immediatly clock in that when he died in the cage that all his items including Mordecai despawned

Actually in lore wise this would technically mean that Mordecai died cause the rats die in the cages if they aren't saved on time and neither Tubbo or Mordecai were saved on time so they both died but since Tubbo had one extra life he came back and we don't know if Mordecai had any extra lives so its safer to assume he had a single life and died

something something Tubrat never being taken seriously and looked down on so him calling an Angelic Power and starting a cult isn't REALLY to get back Mordecai, it's to show that he too can hold power over other rats and its the only way to build relationships with others without being laughing stock

So this goes back to a semi failed plot line/joke from season 1 where Tubbo and Shubble showed up late and explained it by saying they were trapped in a cupboard for an extended period.

Tubbo being Tubbo then says there were other rats, baby rats, in the cupboard and they killed and ate them to survive.

Owen practically killed Tubbo irl over this so it got reduced to a small silly joke only made where server admins couldn’t hear you.

(Remember this is back when Owen was kind of a stick in the mud, he chilled out a lot later which is why Tubbo is getting away with weirder plot lines this season)

Fast forward to this week, Tubbo gets caught in a rat trap on day 1 of the new server (as is one of the core gameplay mechanics of the smp, you are small and npc’s can put you in cages) and for one reason or another is left to die. I think everyone either missed the notification or figured someone else was going to go get him.

Somewhere in the middle of dying twice (once in a cage once not) his named stick named Mordecai respawns, and Tubbo gets someone else to call a meeting or the group so he can ask for help finding said named stick.

Most everyone kinda brushes him off but a couple people including Owen take him seriously and promise to help find Mordecai.

I don’t know how well it’s going to go because Tubbo has a whole cult plot going where characters who’ve lost a life can talk to an eldritch being who demands blood sacrifices. And yes, he tried to flirt with them. It didn’t work because the eldritch being has a girlfriend.

guys do you think the other rats in the attic wouldve listened to rat tubbo about mordecai if he didnt immediately die and then admit to eating rat lizzie and then die again.
