I’ve been playing smash since the n64 days, and I’m ready for a new main villain. I am beyond tired of master hand.

He worked within the whimsy of the first game since it was dolls brought to life by a finger snap. Cute.

But as the games expanded beyond the original simple frame work, and I have to beat him multiple times, I’m hungry for new.

Here’s my oddball take; Captain Rainbow invents a ray that takes the forgotten characters of Nintendo’s past and each tries to take on their respective famous double.

So we have Takamura taking on Link (since the former’s game, The Mysterious Murasame Castle, is a twin to Legend of Zelda).

And Sukapon (Joy Mech Fight) taking on, oh, Captain Falcon.

Note that they don’t even have to be playable characters (wouldn’t hurt though); they can be assist trophies with life bars, ala Ratholas from Monster Hunter.

Be honest, how fun was it to have something different to fight at the end of classic mode. Luigi brawling Dracula had me in stitches.

I’m even cool with using mii fighters (with unique costumes) as end bosses. Donkey and Diddy vs Cuphead (same) and Sans (undertale).

I really like the obscure forgotten heroes because it not only brings back the novelty of smash n64, but it incentivizes Nintendo to translate and bring to the west its older games via Nintendo online (now that a global audience knows them).

So bring in Smash-Forgotten Heroes and give us something new. So many characters are wanted (Waluigi, somehow) and here they can finally be included in a fun way.
