🌲🐺 A New Family of Wolves 🐺🌲
Romantic, GN!Reader x Werewolf!Alan [Feat: Wolf family] Headcanons
Word Count: 1.5K
Info: Darby & Dahlia are the Readers & Alan kids, they use Nomy as a parental word for the Reader.
A/N: I finally finished this, woooh! I had to re-write this thing here like three diffrent times because I wasn't happy with it. It started out as a fanfic but evolved into headcanons, it was also suppose to come out last year but whatever ^^"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🐺 Cuddle piles everywhere. Be it in the living room, bedroom, outside or even while you try to cook. They will be there, whining and demanding attention & affection. (Alan sometimes joins in on the fun.)
In the end your wolves either win and the cuddle fun starts. Or they will pout in a corner, looking at you with big puppy eyes. If that dosen't work out then Alan will simply manhandel you into the cuddling pile.
🐺 Get ready to be jumped by the two pups, the second you're in the cuddle pile. Darby won't hesitate to paw at your chest, tail wagging like crazy as he talks about his day.
Meanwhile Dahlia would paw on Alan's side, back, head or nibble on his ear to get his attention.
🐺 Both of the pups have a favorite parent, Dahlia prefers Alan since they can rough house more without seriously injuring the other. She also loves to hear how their parents met & fell in love, finding it to be a true "Soulmates" story.
Darby on the other hand prefered their Nomy, he enjoyed more of their calm demeaner which lets him recharge his battery. He also loves to hear them talk about their intrest, friends, their old home and co.
🐺 Alan watches over the pups when they play fight, making sure that they don't go too far and actually hurt each other. The pups also love to tag team and try to fight their dad, he indulges them of course (he isn't immune to the puppy eyes.) Letting them win every now and then, dropping to the ground & being extra dramatic just for the fun of it.
🐺 The pups love to watch their dad whittle animals. Alan promised to teach them how to whittle on their own once they are a little older, for now they just lay on his lap and guess what he's gonna create or colour some of the wooden figurines however they like.
He also started hiding his whittle knife after Dahlia stole it for the third time and ran around with it.
"Dahlia, honey? What's in your mouth?"
"Dad's knife!"
"Alan!"
"On it, Doe-Eyes!"
🐺 You two have made it a habit of either telling the pups a goodnight story or (in Alan's case) singing them a lullaby. Alan always sings them a French lullaby, it's one that his own mother often sang to him before the accident. He will also sing the lullaby whenever the pups or you wake up from a nightmare.
You sometimes can hear him humm the melody when he's alone. He only stops his humming for a short while when you hug him from behind. The lullaby always feels a lot sadder than comforting when he's alone.
🐺 Hunting lessons were something the pups were super excited about, to the point where they would ask non-stop when they could go along on a hunt. They only quieted down after Alan promised them that they could tag along & watch him from afar.
It was more of a lesson on stealth & patience rather than an actual hunting lesson for those two pups. It still ended, more often than not with Darby & Dahlia getting distracted and missing their prey. In the end both of them had stolen one of the rabbits Alan hunted.
"Oh, a rabbit? I am so proud of you two, now go wash your paws and then we can cook it...You hunted it didn't you?"
"Maybe, who knows? I sure don't, Doe-eyes~'
"Alan, it's missing a huge chunk of its lower body…It also has the same form as your other bite marks."
"...Oops."
🐺 During another hunting lesson both of the pups got injured after deciding to prove to their parents how "grown up" they were. Darby ended up with a large scratch across his back and Dahlia twisted one of her paws. (Both healed with no long-lasting issues, thankfully but it still caused a huge panic amongst your small family.)
You really weren't that surprised when Alan brought you a new black pelt that felt quite similar to his own fur but you didn't comment on it. Instead you threw it onto the ever growing cuddle nest.
🐺 Alan loves when you comb his hair and fur, he just melt in your hands. In return he will shower you in kisses, holding you tightly to his chest and if you're alone & in the mood for it. Well, let's just say you two will have a long, rough night ahead of yourself.
🐺 If you wake up before him and somehow get out of his vice grip, you will have a cranky, whining wolf following you around wherever you go.
"Doe-eyes, just go back to the nest, please.~"
"Alan, my mate for life, my shinning star in the sky, my one and only. I really need to take a piss. I will return in a second, just…Be patient ok?"
"Ok…" Cue to him sitting in front of the bathroom door.
🐺 Darby & Dahlia love to wake you two up. From jumping onto the nest (Or rather onto Alan's side and/or stomach.) Puppy licks, nuzzles, pawing at your faces, whining and calling out to you two to wake up.
The only way to stop them is to drag them into the nest and force them into blanket jail.
🐺 Alan was quite surprised when he learned that his pups couldn't feel pain like him. It brought quite a lot of anxiety and stress to the two of you, especially to Alan.
Who had enough scars that made anyone who saw them wonder how he survived some of those. Most of them he survived through sheer dumb luck, he would sometimes point out some close calls and warn his pups to not do as he did.
🐺 You know that old, "Pull a blanket high up in front of your dog & then hide behind a door "? Yeah, you tried this on your little family of wolves.
Their reactions were gold, the pups were walking around confused. Tilting their heads as they looked at their dad, asking where Nomy is. Alan had a more intense reaction. He paced around the room growling, teeth barred and murmuring something under his breath.
You could't hear exactly what he said but it caused you to have a bad gut feeling.
After the incident, the pups wouldn't leave your side for a few days. Alan took a few months before he stopped following you everywhere, growling at every other creature that even dared to look in your direction.
"Ya gave us quite the scare, Doe-eye. Please never do that again, I can't stand the thought of you leaving us behind. If you ever did that…I would need to make sure ya couldn't ever run away from us. An' ya wouldn't want that, right? I don't want to hurt ya, so please never leave us, Doe-eyes."
🐺 The pups both have some hand-made toys from both you. It were mostly small, wooden animal figures (from Alan.) Which sometimes were coloured in by them to keep their characters apart. Some even had small accessories that they wore but their favourite would always be the plushies.
It took you quite a while to make them, many failed attempts, late night frustration and getting your hands poked by needles were all worth it in the end though. Seeing your pups cuddle with them every night and just treasuring them dearly.
Dahlia has the Moose, that once belonged to Alan and a Doe/Wolf hybrid plush.
Darby has a Buck/Wolf hybrid plush who often got to wear the fluffy hat, Alan gave him.
🐺 The pups sometimes come home with forest critters that they wanna keep as pets. This ranges from frogs, bird and bugs, to bigger animals such as racoons, opossums and the occasional hare.
🐺 Alan has a murder (flock of crows) who have been officially adopted into the family. They watch out for the pups from time to time and even play with them.
They also bring small gifts to you in exchange for food or affection. You can always see them in the trees nearby, they are like winged bodyguards or alarm systems.
🐺 The wolf pack growls at thunderstorms. Darby and Dahlia are shaking while cuddling next to you, always staying hidden under the blanket.
While Alan is over the blanket, resting his head against your shoulder while he growls and even barks at the thunder. All the while petting his pups, reasuring them that he will keep them safe.
🐺 Darby & Dahlia are still young and so aren't used to every noise, smell, texture, etc. That you can find in the forest or near the city, which lead to them getting overwhelmed or overstimulated easily.
They still try to follow you when you go out to shop at the local supermarket. But in the end they are either in the woods waiting for you to return or end up being picked up by their Dad to wait at the cabin.

Thunderbirds (2004)
A review by me, CutCat! This is 8-ish pages long!
Tumblr media
Spoiler for the end of the film warning: Alan is in International Rescue. What a twist!
Totally Turbulent
Soooo, Tbirds ‘04 is one of those Infamous Adaptations, at least among those who enjoyed Thunderbirds (’65) and of more recent times, Thunderbirds are Go (’15). It’s one of those Bad Live Action Adaptations to a near sacred property, making it dubious contemporaries with Dragon Ball [Evolution], Avatar [The Last Airbender] and suchlike.
But wait, is it really That Bad?? Why is it as divisive as it is? What caused the film to be the way it is, and quite unpopular at that?
First I’m gonna make a long story very short by saying that a Live Action Thunderbirds movie was on and off production for many years, and that the script we ended up with is apparently better than another one that was pitched... but there are reports of cooler scripts further back that never made it, for various reasons. It’s almost a story of it’s own right but I’m only going by 2nd hand information at best, so I’d rather just link them at the end for Additional Reading if y’all felt so inclined.
With that out of the way, we have the Takes from the Andersons to look at. Sylvia had a very favourable reception to it:
"I felt that I'd been on a wonderful Thunderbirds adventure. You, the fans, will I'm sure, appreciate the sensitive adaptation and I'm personally thrilled that the production team have paid us the great compliment of bringing to life our original concept for the big screen. If we had made it ourselves (and we have had over 30 years to do it!) we could not have improved on this new version. It is a great tribute to the original creative team who inspired the movie all those years ago. It was a personal thrill for me to see my characters come to life on the big screen."
Whereas Gerry had a considerably blunter response at the opposite end of the scale:
"the biggest load of crap I have ever seen in my entire life."
As for me, a mere fan of predominantly the TAG series with limited but fond memories of the 90’s TOS reruns, I’d been inclined to ignore it and write it off as a DBE or TLA lost cause. But the combined effect of me deciding to check out unpopular media for myself, namely Dragon Ball GT and the live action Super Mario Bros. movie, and thoroughly enjoying both; and the other effect of TAG finishing but my fixation reawakening with the need to consume More, I dived deeper into the fan base than I had dared to before, in which I found more reasons to watch it and make up my own mind fairly.
Find out what I thought, and a review of the movie itself, below the Cut! ✂
Stormy Story
Ok, enough teasing, I see good things in the movie but not enough for it to be a secret masterpiece, not by a long shot.
1/3 Stars from Me. That’s Poor. (Compare with 2/3 being Good, and 3/3 being Excellent)
My main beef is unfortunately kinda the crux of the whole story, so while there were aspects I really liked, it had permanently set the bar low, and other issues were not helping matters. I’ll go into the problems after I sum up the plot.
[sitcom harp music]
14 Year Old Alan Tracy is stuck in a stuffy school with only his nerd friend to confide in. Something’s eating him up, and it’s jealousy over how his family are International Rescue, the secret rescue workers whole pilot the Thunderbirds, impossibly cool craft with capabilities vastly exceeding standard technology. Even when he’s allowed out of school and back to the Island, his envy and barely repressed resentment over not being a member himself causes him to go off and sulk and to try taking Thunderbird 1, the hypersonic jet plane, for a joyride.
His father and the leader of International Rescue, Jeff Tracy chews Alan out for almost compromising the need for the organisation to remain secret, lest their advanced technology falling into the wrong hands. Alas, said wrong hands are already working against IR: The Hood, a diabolical, cold blooded criminal with psychic powers and a grudge against Jeff. After successfully tracking the location of Tracy Island, he launches a missile towards Thunderbird 5, the Space Station where IR monitor potential disasters to prevent as much damage as possible, manned by John Tracy.
With TB5 crippled and John injured, Jeff and his other three older sons all scramble to the disaster zone via Thunderbird 3, the Rocket Ship. But with Tracy Island largely unmanned, The Hood moves in and aims to use the Thunderbirds to rob bank vaults while simultaneously smearing International Rescue’s good name. As the only Tracy brother left on Earth, it’s up to Alan and his 2 friends, Fermat and Tin-Tin, to foil the Hood and save his family, proving himself worthy in the process. He is also assisted by IR’s London Agent, Lady Penelope, and her driver/butler/lockpicker, Parker.
...
Ok, so that’s a summary you may read on the back of a DVD box, maybe it’s a bit long but whatever. Do you see what’s wrong with the story? The massive rift in the formula that should be within a template set by the hugely popular TV Series?
Critical Crux
For me, the main issue with the movie is that the Tracy family are thrown under a bus, or perhaps it’s more like being locked in a closet, in order for Alan to rise up and be The Hero. A show that was about each of them having different roles and personalities to the others, and the movie sees the best way to adapt the premise is to reduce 3 of them to cardboard cutouts who aren’t allowed to do or say anything meaningful, with the exception to this getting the dubious honour of getting a missile and exploding space station to the face.
I can’t clearly express how much this pisses me off! It’s downright insulting and baffling as well. They had pre established characters right there for the taking but go NO! Let’s make OCs to fill this newly created void instead and make the main Message of the film Friendship Teamwork.
Why does every child-skewed media hafta have the Friendship message? It’s a good one, sure, but nothing said in this film about it was fresh or original. Y’know what I see far, far less? Not just in Kid Flavoured Media, but all sorts? The importance of Brotherly Bonds between actual brothers!! I don’t subscribe to the massively misunderstood message version of ‘Blood is thicker than water’, but a story with the siblings actually pushed and stressed and coming out stronger at the end would have ruled!!
[For what it’s worth, the actual saying is “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”, i.e. the bonds you choose to forge are more important than happening to be born to certain people. This correct message is still compatible with literal siblings though!]
The other, somewhat lesser Large Issue with the movie is simply that we don’t see much in the way of Rescues with the titular Thunderbirds. We only get the tail end of the Oil Rig in Act 1, and then the ‘Birds are used predominantly to get to London and save 1 Monorail Car with TB4.
Watsonian Woes & Doylist Dilemma
When looking at Media, there’s 2 main angles to consider; Doylist and Watsonian. Doylist is the “real life / meta” angle, the structure of the story or interests of the author being in the plot, that kinda thing. Watsonian is the reason given within the story.
All stories have Watsonian and Doylist reasonings, the trick is to blend them in and not use a weedy Watsonian reason for something stupid happening.
Why bring this up? Because it’s still part of the Huge Problem I have with the film; the Doylist reason for all of IR being incapacitated so easily is so Alan can shine without fighting for focus in a large group. I don’t like it, but let’s go along with it for now.
Believe it or not, but I can accept that a Movie format isn’t going to be the same as an ongoing series. There’s way less time and you gotta hit certain beats. Ideally you also condense the essence of the show into the film while being more than just a long episode. They didn’t hit this note in my opinion...
But other than ‘It has to happen for he story to work’, there’s no damn reason for all the Non-Alan Tracys to be cooped up in the crippled TB5! They put all their eggs into one basket when a considerably more sensible choice woulda been to have a small crew, and the others remain on base. Because even without factoring in a worst case scenario where another missile hits them while in space, killing them all, which totally could have happened for all they know, there’s also the part about them being International Rescue! They gotta be ready to respond to other disasters should those develop. TB1, 2 and 4 were still available for use!
If I was Jeff making the boneheaded decision, I would have taken a second to think about it and have 1 of the Bros come up in 3 with me. Seeing to John shouldn’t be something 4 people are needed for, it would just get more crowded and the oxygen would be used way faster! Considering they all come close to asphyxiating, 2 less people would mean things weren’t so damn close to the wire! (Granted, the movie also has them falling into Earth’s atmosphere and burning up as a hazard, but the whole crew being there doesn’t affect that.)
Jeff! You’re the patriarch and supposedly most experienced dude in the whole movie! Why didja run into that trap with both eyes open? Stressful situation, sure, but in the Rescue Business you need to be able to listen to the cold, clinical angle. You’re risking more of your sons’ lives making such a rash judgement!!
Character Conundrums
This is the part of the review where I begin to really emphasise the differences between TOS and this movie. I’ll hold off TAG for now in the interest of fairness.
The movie is a mixed bag when it comes to the individuals within it. Some have been refreshing updates to stuffy 60′s tropes, but several draw the short straw, feeling even stiffer than their marionette precursors.
Alan - Hoo, boy. The plot follows Alan.... for the third time if you’re factoring in the Supermarionation movies, which was quite the baffling choice as Puppet!Alan is quite the obnoxious jerk. But whatever, new movie, new canon, new Alan. While the Alan of the 60′s was a bizarrely whiny brat of a character considering he was supposed to at least be in his early 20′s this Alan at least makes more sense to be annoying. But yes, he starts off as a sullen jerk with unclearly defined jealousy towards his own brothers and seemingly a lack of grasping the stakes behind International Rescue, viewing being one of the crew as a Cool Job rather than a gruelling, life-risking ordeal. Over the course of the movie (mostly Act 3) he becomes less of a berk and a better team player, even going as far as to save the Hood personally.
Jeff - One of the stronger characters in the movie, even with this poor choice I’ve gone on about already, haha. You get the real impression the job means the world to him, but still secondary to his sons. An update and improvement to the sometimes stodgy and holier-than-thou character from the 60′s, plus his proactive role makes him way less of a backseat driver.
Lady Penelope - Best character and a splendid update to the 60′s Socialite. This Penny is always a delight to see, although her ability to change clothes offscreen sometimes pushes plausibility, haha. She and Jeff also have very natural and endearing chemistry, so for this iteration at least, I’m up for shipping them, something I can’t say for TOS.
Parker - Remarkably true to the beloved puppet version and another highlight. His interplay with Penelope is some of the best dialogue in the whole movie, and was written by Richard Curtis in an uncredited role, or so I’ve read.
The Hood - A shockingly sadistic and cold blooded so-and-so. His Psychic powers have been given a huge boost, and the depths of his spite generates all the tense scenes the movie has to offer. His performance may be the best in the whole film, simultaneously over the top while also completely deadly.
Tin-Tin - Y’know, Tin-Tin is a funny character, in how she’s very different in all versions. I enjoy her in TOS, but her potential as an engineering assistant, mathematician and member of IR are quickly discarded to make her a secretary, which is further demoted to bringing coffee. Ahh, The Sixties! One of her other defining features was the sometimes bickering sexual tension with Alan. Movie!Tin-Tin is still the implied love interest [and the same age] with him, but she’s also an Action Girl extraordinaire, with abilities bordering on metahuman. She can trek through the jungle without slowing down, she can dive underwater for prolonged sequences, and has a variation of her Evil Uncle’s Psychic capabilities, but used for good. Notably, the Kayo of TAG takes significantly more from this Tin-Tin to the original, sadly sans Telekinesis.
Fermat - The only OC I’m gonna dignify with a section here lol. He’s basically mini-Brains, complete with the way he t-ta-tal- -distinctive speech patterns. But yeah, as the hypersmart and nerdy pal, I feel that his role is pretty superfluous, though his performance in the movie got me to soften up, he’s a good kid. Just one who, like, is part of the deal breaking issue I have with the whole film. In a way I think he’d have made a better lead than Alan lmao
Brains - Not much to say here, he’s also a dude in distress for a majority of his screentime. Seems to be older than his TOS self and a bit less subservient to Jeff, but also a father ....or Fermat is his clone. They never make that clear. He’s hit on by the Hood’s Female Scientist and it’s played for comedy, more on that later.
John - In TOS, his role was infamously minimal, as Gerry Anderson took such a strong disliking to the John puppet and the TB5 model that he exiled both into space with a few token shots per episode. So in comparison, this movie is far kinder to John! He has a nice, genuine chat with Jeff, without any mission to initiate said videocall. The movie is also quite mean to John in how he gets bombed by the Hood, his space station in tatters, his arm hurt and then near suffocation with Jeff and most of his brothers. Ahh, the conundrum of being John.
Scott, Virgil and Gordon - No, they don’t even get their own paragraphs in my review. Their lack of presence and importance in the movie is my giant gripe (have you noticed yet?) and it got to the extent that I feel they could have been combined into one character to save casting money. They get maybe 5 lines each, if that. I literally can’t tell Scott and Virgil apart (I know they have name tags on their uniforms, but in most scenes I couldn’t even read that) other than knowing 1 of them is taller. Which that one is, is a mystery.
The only one with a slightly distinctive appearance and air is Gordon, which is another can of worms because he seems to be the designated Doubtful Jerk Brother and that drives me mad!! In TOS he wasn’t as main a character as Scott, Virgil or Alan, but he was still a defined person with his own abilities. And his personality was as a slightly mouthy but the most lighthearted character! Why didn’t they carry that over?!
And yeah, Scott and Virgil are pretty much the Main Two of the brothers in TOS, so their roles being reduced to 1 token act during the oil rig rescue each [Gordon didn’t even get that!] is all the more mind boggling.
Hood’s Minions - Can’t be assed to write their names out, I refer to them as Heavy Dude and Science Woman. Heavy Dude is the Heavy, and his character consists of Dumb and somewhat Sadistic Muscle. Science Woman is first objectified (we see her ass first. Yes, really.) but then it’s ‘revealed’ that as she has Austin Powers level teeth, she’s uuuuuglyyyyy and her otherwise genuine attraction towards Brains is played for laughs with this angle. And that’s still female on male sexual harassment, which doesn’t fly with me. Eeeesh. Bad writing! She does Science Things for Hood.
The Rest - Kyrano and his wife are in this. Wife is Original but basically Grandma’s role, though she doesn’t even get a single word to say. Rip. Also the Hood has a few more generic mooks from somewhere, but seemingly only for part of the movie. Kyrano didn’t do much in the show except get bullied by the Hood and little has changed.
Tone Trouble
I feel like the movie has a bit of an issue with balancing a consistent Tone. Again, let’s look back at TOS. It was a Family Show, designed to not just appeal to little kids, but to also keep their parent and other adult amused. Maybe some of it was also the result of the times, but striking to me is that they allowed the characters to get pretty hurt, complete with red paint being applied to look like realistic blood. Some of the criminals, including the Hood himself, would be very vicious, how he treats Brains in Desperate Intruder comes to mind. There was even firefights resulting in death, like the memorable climax of Operation Crash-Dive, where Gordon has to shoot a saboteur in the back, into the open sea below the compromised plane. He then proceeds to hold the cut wires together with his bare hands. Don’t try this at home, kids!
So while I can understand some of that being removed from the Movie (and TAG), there’s still the irritating going down to a perceived kid’s level for the majority of the film, which is probably also a large reason for the massive structural change. But then, there’s shockingly dark implications here and there, and the haunting sight of the crew trapped on TB5 floating lifelessly in the dark, asphyxiating. But then, again, we have goofy choreographed fight scenes with juvenile stock cartoon sounds. And then, we have Hood force choking Alan?! It has been mostly consistent until Act 3, then the tone goes up and down more than the flying machines.
Revamped Rockets
I’m mostly talking about the main craft here, though I know the Pod vehicles got modified too, I’m not sufficiently a TOS Pod Buff to go over them.
TB1 - Looks real nice! Maintains and even enhances the sleekness, and the idea of a glass cockpit is much better than having 1 tiny window and a dinky TV screen to see by. Oddly dark inside the cockpit considering how much glass there is, though. Probably my fav of the Movie Fleet.
TB2 - Oof. Looks bad, man. Like, really ugly. What have they done to the glorious design that was the Original Big Green? The unofficial mascot from her importance and unorthodox style? They turned her into a stubby, too glossy, chunky bar of green soap. The thick ass legs are a good idea but it sure ain’t enough. Also, she carries 3 smaller pods insteada 1 big one.
TB3 - Like TB1, pretty much the same design but streamlined a little. Docks with 5 sidewise instead of like pen going into its lid.
TB4 - I’m mixed. I like the idea of giving her a glass canopy and extendable arms, but the movie’s version is so boxy she looks more like a small yellow Greenhouse with the rear half of the old Four, haha. The arms also look a little stiff, can they bend? Now, if there was a sleek, glass hulled, variable armed, demolition charges-loaded Four, that would be my favourite possible version ;3 Four is my fav craft in TOS and TAG, for what it’s worth.
TB5 - I say it’s quite a visual improvement over TOS and the odds and ends jumbled look that had, though I do appreciate a bit of Chunkiness. This one really needs to have better defence too, TOS 5 may’ve been able to tank that missile lmao
FAB1 - I know that she would have been a Rolls Royce in the film, but BMW said no, so that’s not a point against the movie. And failing the classic image, it’s cute that it’s a Ford Thunderbird, though I’d have preferred one with those 50′s/60′s stylish fins personally lol. Her ability to fly is new here unless you count the Dream Sequence in Are Go (’66) and the water mode was also seen in that before this, and she gets the job done, though we don’t get to see as many gadgets and gizmos in the course of the film.
Unlikely Uniforms
I really don’t understand these. Why are they off white with minimal accent colours? What was wrong with the blueness of their suits and the broad stripe of a secondary colour? I sure ain’t saying the 60’s costumes were practical or even that fashionable, but they were very distinctive and striking!
Not only that, but for some strange unexplained reason, their uniforms all correspond not to their own speciality, but to which craft they’re currently piloting. Even if they’re all in the same Bird...! So like, four out of five are wearing identical looking red accented suits while locked in TB5. I already find the elder brothers to be the Similar Squad, and their microscopic name tags don’t help!
Why don’t they wear their own coloured uniforms all the time? Then ya don’t need the name tag at all! And the silly implication from the way there’s apparently a whole set of Craft Specific uniforms is that there’s piles of clothes that ain’t getting used in all of them, like the tiny TB4 probably having 6 whole sets on board at the end of the film.
Between that, no blue and the outfits looking like Generic Sports Wear, the only nice thing to say is the THUNDERBIRDS down the sleeve is a cool touch. Which should really say International Rescue or IR...
Mingled Misc.
Yeah, The conflation of Thunderbirds and International Rescue is a tad irritating but it’s actually something I can overlook. It’s not a dealbreaker and it makes sense the Dumbass Public would misunderstand and call them the wrong thing.
Jeff refuses Alan early access into IR and cites “No shortcuts”. Then at the end he echoes this when he is making Alan an official member, saying he did it with no shortcuts. The whole faffing scenario was a giant shortcut!!! Fuck training and being a suitable age, am I right?!
Amazingly I didn’t cover this already, but when Alan shortcuts his way onto the team he’s made pilot of ... TB4. That’s why he’s in yellow accents in the pic. Gordon is seemingly the main pilot of TB3 instead, but the movie doesn’t deign to make that clear. While I appreciate that the 14 year old with no Astronaut training isn’t put in charge of 3 instantly, I resent the careless removal of characterisation. Obviously movie Gordon never served with WASP or won the gold medal in swimming or had a massive hydrofoil crash to nearly kill him but ggggghgggaaahhhhhhhhh
Also what’s with the implication that Four is the Babby’s First Machine? She’s a highly specialised craft that would require different training to flying or Space shit! How dare you?! The most charitable link is that Alan stood around in 4 as Tin-Tin did most of the work herself, but I guess it coulda as some level of experience.
Ford Sponsorship - Gets a bit much! It’s one thing for all the cars to be Ford, but them seemingly owning the News is like an unpleasant look into a world where corporations run everything.... hahahaahaaaaaa........
Marvellous Music
Something the movie really excells at is the tunes! The remix of the Thunderbirds March is good in it’s own right and very welcome, and the new music is all solid. Special mention to Busted’s outro song for slapping so hard even people who hate the movie leave warm youtube comments about the song. I have a habit of listening to it set to TAG footage myself, haha
Sincere Summation
Look, I’ve come off negative in this, but I honestly have a lot of respect for a lot of the parts of this picture. Hood, Penelope, Parker and Jeff are fantastic, the physical models and sets have a lot of care and loving detail poured in, the music is all bangers and other little nods and homages to the show shine brightly. The director got a lot of good work in and I hold him no ill will.
I think the problem is in the Writing and probably Studio Mandates, I’m not 100% sure, but things often get snaggy when the studio you’re working under gets bought out by a bigger company partway through. Again, I’ll refer to the info I’ve seen instead of trying to relay it in my own words.
And they made a real bad call snubbing Gerry as a Creative Consultant. Some of his venom towards the film may be from that, as well as his alleged preference to Team America: World Police as a theatrical homage. And I’ve seen that before and wouldn’t really say that’s true to the spirit of Thunderbirds, but yeah...
I’d be interested in any future Thunderbirds Movies, if that’s ever on the cards again. I’d probably be even more up for continuation of the TAG series, or newer new Captain Scarlet with International Rescue involved. Either way, I want new footage of the Birds taking off again, be it puppet, people, CGI, or something new~

em-exceeds-change-zearu replied to your post:
same mood. I want to see Alan in squishy pokeani 2020 style but after they handled korrina episode...it wasnt bad but it wasn't super impressive either so im just kinda...waves hands
I haven’t seen the Korrina episode yet, so I don’t have any opinions on that specifically. My main feelings have to do with how they ended Alan’s story (and by extension Manon’s), and to a lesser extent how they’re handling Ash now and what I think that could mean for Alan’s return.
I’m sure you’re familiar with my gripes re: Alan’s ending, but to summarize them again here: XYZ044 showed us that Alan was traumatized and depressed to the point of dissociating even when at a table filled with friends and family and having thoughts that sounded a whole lot (to older / experienced viewers) like suicidal ideation as a result of Lysandre’s abuse and manipulation. Ash makes Alan promise to battle him again someday, and while Ash makes that promise with a lot of people, in this particular case the way Ash phrased it and the general anxiety and fear he showed as he phrased it (as well as Alan’s reaction to it) made it sound like he was giving Alan a reason to keep living, something to look forward to. It was really beautiful, and I felt a big, needed step toward the healing and recuperation he was bound to receive at the lab since Sycamore had told him that he was needed there . . .
. . . only for him to take the “start from zero” approach like Ash’s other companions and immediately fuck off into the wilderness in search of Mega Stones again, Manon at his side. This was phrased as him picking up the work he was doing before Lysandre picked him up, but it’s also continuing the work he was doing for Lysandre, in a way, since Lysandre had him going after Mega Stones in addition to collecting Mega Evolution energy. (Notably, the Mega Stone he finds in TSME 1 is Gyaradosite, and we all know who ended up using that.) More importantly than that, though, is that Alan’s trauma seems to be magically gone. He’s magically all better. He’s “starting from zero” (whatever that means) and so he’s all better. He’s not needed at the lab anymore, apparently, nor in Lumiose, despite everything that happened. Nope, it’s fine to have him just fuck off into a cave somewhere. That’s cool.
As you can tell with my tone, that’s not cool for me. XYZ044 set up a beautiful ending for him, but the actual last episode he appears in (I think it’s XYZ046? I can’t remember) throws that out the window. It’s obvious that the writers wanted to wrap up his story in a neat bow while showing Just How Influential Ash is by having Alan copy his words (even though Ash already had a positive influence by giving Alan a reason to look forward to the future ffs), but in doing so they completely disrespected Alan’s character and his story, and to this day I remain salty about it. Given that, I really don’t trust how they’d depict him if he showed up again, particularly considering that I’m absolutely positive they wouldn’t give his battle with Ash the emotional weight it deserves given that they tried to throw that weight out the window immediately after introducing it.
(As a side note, I also remain upset at how he’s traveling with Manon again specifically, and not just because her stans / the shippers were particularly obnoxious back in 2016. I’m upset by it because it’s not good for Manon, either, with regards to her independence as a trainer. Manon became wholly reliant on Alan protecting her, never once attempting to battle herself outside of the time she captured Flabébé (RIP) in TSME 1, and while she did have that heroic moment in TSME 3 where she dragged Alan’s unconscious body off the ice, that still wasn’t an attempt on her part to battle. In fact, while Hari-san did assist Mega Metagross in fending off attacks that were headed toward Manon and Alan, that wasn’t on Manon’s orders. She never told Hari-san to protect her. In TSME 4, when Alan brings up the very real danger he finds himself in as a result of his work, Manon dismisses it and says that it’s fine because he’ll protect her. He tries to argue back by saying that she’s depending on him too much, and she again talks over him and ignores it. The thing is, she does depend on him too much. For someone who claims to want to be a strong trainer, she never trains nor battles and instead just takes cover whenever Alan himself does. Setting aside the very real issues with how Manon consistently overrides Alan’s consent and how that itself is an issue with them traveling together considering that she never apologized for that (because it takes two to fight and Manon crying in TSME 4 doesn’t change the fact that the fight that led to her crying was due to her pushing and pushing and pushing and not taking no for an answer until he snapped), Manon doesn’t ever take responsibilities for herself as a trainer. She depends on Alan to do the battling for her, tells Hari-san to “leave her alone” in a strange place instead of putting him in his pokéball (which leads to him helping Squishy escape / becoming comatose), et cetera. And while it’s not wrong for Alan to protect her given how inexperienced she is (though it is wrong to deny him a choice in whether he will or not by tagging along without his consent), it’s not doing her any favors to continue the habit of depending on him if she truly wants to be a trainer. She needs to learn and grow on her own, and so having her travel with Alan again not only rewards her for overriding his boundaries and consent so many times (see, just keep pushing and cry some and you’ll get what you want in the end!), but it also doesn’t give her the opportunity she needs to stand on her own two feet to grow as a trainer, like she’d have if she resumed her original journey on her own, rather than tagging along on Alan’s. This was a much longer side note than I wanted it to be originally, but I feel it’s all worth saying so I’m saying it anyway.)
All of that aside, though, the way Ash is being handled in the new series gives me another layer of concern, in that I feel like he’s being handled super powerful pokémon with the express purpose of being able to steamroller anything in his path. With the exception of Riolu (who is a literal baby) and arguably Galar Farfetch’d (who is still Stage 1), the new pokémon that Ash has acquired in this series are super powerful from the outset, either because their species as a whole is powerful and they’re in the final form of it (Dragonite) or because they were previously trained up to the final form and he just got to inherit them (Gengar). People are upset that Ash didn’t capture Sobble, but they’re missing the fact that Ash is acquiring pokémon that are going to give him an edge in every battle, presumably to satisfy those in the audience who care about nothing other than to see Ash win. Farfetch’d will undoubtedly become Sirfetch’d (something that gives it a battle edge over Gou’s Kanto Farfetch’d, and you don’t see any Gou fans upset that he got the competitively useless one), and Riolu is bound to become Lucario. Ash is being handed a team that will make it “understandable” when he defeats Leon at the end of the series, in a way that makes it honestly seem that the only reason he is here at all is to placate those who are only interested in the anime to see him win and to help Gou grow as a trainer (since he does have moments of mentoring Gou).
And if you’re wondering how this relates to Alan . . . I feel like, if Alan comes back, he’ll come back solely to battle and lose to Ash. And while I’m not one of those people that feels that MY FAVE MUST ALWAYS WIN EVER (TSME 3 is my favorite of the TSME episodes and Alan nearly dies in that one), not only do I feel that their promise to battle again won’t be treated as the lifeline it was in XYZ044, but I also feel that Ash would only win in order to make him seem like The Most Powerful Trainer Ever to placate his stans, particularly those that to this day remain bitter about the Kalos League. (Yes, there are still people bitching about it four years later. Unsurprisingly these are usually people who don’t understand basically anything about battling, but I digress.) And considering how much emotional weight was given to their future battle in XYZ044—that it was about giving Alan something to look forward to in the future, a reason to feel like living to that future was worth it—having it reduced down to something to Make Ash Look Cool and Apologize For The Kalos League (which doesn’t need an apology) would be really upsetting to me. It’s not about who wins or loses, but about why the battle is taking place and the emotional significance of it. And I really don’t trust the PokéAni to pull that off.
So with all that said, should Alan come back, I actually don’t want him and Ash to battle yet, and I’d rather Manon be on her own journey elsewhere so that she can gain that much needed independence. But I can’t see them bringing Alan back and not having him and Ash battle, so at the end of it I’m just kind of left like

Chapter Ten: The Round Up
As the officer and his entourage were travelling towards the bar, some of its inhabitants were getting acquainted. They had chosen an extremely lucky time as the group of fairly modern female writers and the ancient Greek women were all present, and had just become aware of the others’ presence.
Sappho and Arete were chatting with beer and observing the coming and goings in the bar. Simone de Beauvoir overheard this and, as would be expected, was rather surprise at hearing this tongue being used conversationally.
“Virginia,” she whispered, leaning close. “Are those two speaking ancient Greek, do you think?”
“Oh, I couldn’t say. I know only a few words.”
“Of course, I remember. You were never offered the institutional schooling, your education was your father’s library... very inspiring.”
“I must say it is a little unnerving that you know such things without me telling you,” giggled Virginia. “I am like an artifact to you.”
“You are Providence, my lady,” smiled Simone, with an exaggerated tip of her head. “You are a miracle. Now, I am certain that those two are speaking Greek - we must go find out who they are. After you, I absolutely refuse to take anything for granted.”
Grabbing Virginia by the hand, Simone led her over to the bar.
“Excuse me. My name is Simone de Beauvoir. Who might you be?” asked Simone, in rusty classicist’s Greek.
Sappho and Arete were extremely surprised at hearing someone speaking their language. The only people they had heard speaking their tongue were Oscar and the three greek men: Achilles, Patroculus and Diogenes.
“Delighted to meet you,” replied Sappho. “My name is Sappho, of Lesbos, and this is the lovely Arete of Cyrene. Your knowledge of our language seems a rare thing in these parts. But you are not Greek. Are you a local?”
Simone was speechless, agape. She shook her head.
“What is it, Simone?” Virginia whispered, noticing her disarray. “Who is she?”
“Sappho,” breathed Simone. And suddenly a wide smile spread like sunlight across her face; she laughed in disbelief. “Sappho of Lesbos.”
Virginia’s eyes widened, and she turned to Sappho in amazement.
“And who are you?” the Greek poetess asked, a smile tugging at her lips.
Virginia looked at her blankly.
“Her name is Virginia,” filled in Simone. “She speaks no Greek.”
Sappho nodded. “And where are you two from?”
Simone, at a loss for a way to describe the concept of France in ancient Greek, paused for a moment. “Gaul,” she said at last. “And…” she glanced at Virginia. “And a nearby island.”
“Oh! You are from an island as well!” Sappho laughed. “We must stay together. To be born on an island is always to risk solitude, don’t you think? Oh - my apologies - I had forgotten you didn’t speak Greek - ” she turned to Simone - “you could translate?”
Simone nodded, and translated what she had understood. Virginia smiled warmly. “Tell her I love her poetry, will you?”
Simone translated, and Sappho smiled. “What year are you from? How far through the years has my work survived?”
Simone did some quick mental arithmetic. “About 2400 years of 365 days, and probably longer.”
Virginia looked at Simone questioningly. Simone quickly translated. “I'm sure her- your- reputation has gone even further than us. I believe some of the women here are from an era after my own, we could investigate.” she suggested.
Virginia looked over the crowd and caught Marsha P. Johnson’s gaze, beckoning her over. Marsha approached curiously.
“Hello Virginia. It still feels really weird talking to you, you died four years before I was born.” she said.
“Well this will seem even more peculiar,” started Virginia excitedly, “Meet Sappho of Lesbos.”
The three women smiled as Marsha’s jaw dropped in amazement. “Really? You mean? Seriously?” Marsha saw Simone translating and understood how they were communicating.  “Well a classical education does help… Can you say hi, and that I… love her work.”
Simone took a little bit more time to explain the situation, “This is Marsha P Johnson. She is far more of a commoner than I am, and younger, but still knows all about you. She fought for,” Simone stalled. Never in her extremely formal education had she learnt how to say gay, homosexual or lesbian. “for the rights of men who love men and women who love women and…” she also didn't have a word for transgender. “Women with men's bodies and men with women's bodies.”
Sappho looked at them in confusion. “How so? How has she fought?”
Simone translated this into English; she and Marsha exchanged a glance.
“Should we tell her about it?” Marsha asked in a whisper. “Stonewall?”
Simone nodded. “I’ll do my best.” She then started with the most accurate retelling that her vocabulary would allow. “An enforcer of law came into a… wine house and arrested her because she would not reveal her genitalia, which I don’t believe correspond to her manner of dressing. She fought back.”
Sappho stared at Simone, then at Marsha, in shock and horror. “An official asked to see... that? And she got arrested when she refused? How terrible has the world become… Please tell me it is not that bad in other lands.”
Simone shook her head, “Other countries would have put her to death.”
Sappho looked like she was going to add something, but at that point the officer burst into the room and it silenced.
“Right, is everyone looking at me? Can you all hear me? I’m looking for anyone hear who thinks they’re in the wrong decade or century. Anyone who feels out of place in this time?”
At this point, Alan Turing, Siegfried Sassoon, Wilfred Owen, Frida Kahlo, Rosa Luxemburg, Virginia Woolf, Simone De Beauvoir, Sappho, Arete and Kristina, as well as Erin and Tina, stepped forward, accompanied by a loose assembly of gangly nineteen-year-olds in classic rock tees too much black eyeliner. Erin and Tina looked at the group and laughed.
“He means people who were born in the wrong decade, you sure that applies to you?” asked Erin.
The teens nodded blandly; Erin shrugged and turned back to Kristina.
“Is this everyone? The ones who don’t speak English - Greeks? Some of you? I think? Is that all under control?” He caught a nod from Simone. “Great. Now, listen, I don’t know how much you’ve already figured out, but there’s some stuff I need to tell you all. I’m gonna need you to cooperate. I’ve arrested four of you already, and that’s enough for me, thank you very much. Is there - are you - is someone translating for whoever needs it?” A second nod from Simone. “Perfect. So. You’ve all just sort of… well, turned up, and it’s all very unexpected, and nobody’s really sure what to do with you. That’s pretty much clear to you all?”
A nod from the assortment of punk-rock teens had Erin laughing as the officer went on.
“You’re probably all pretty disorientated, why don’t we step outside so I can talk about integration. I’ve contacted a job club, and they’ve been very helpful and gotten a large number of offers. I’ll show you everything, and get you registered in the government once we’ve gotten to my office.”
The pile of young adults looked at each other unsure, but tagged along anyway. Most could do with a hand finding a job anyway. Erin glanced back at them, but they still seemed to think they were in the right place, so she shrugged and left them to it.
When the last members of the group had trailed into the police station, the officer sighed, sat down at his desk, and dug out a pile of paperwork.
“Now, I checked this with the mayor and she says the system uses your birthday to identify you and to give you an age so I suggest that you fill it in with the real day and month of your birth, then take your age away from this year - 2017 - and write that down. Other than that, stick to the truth. We’re not sure how this is going to work, but it’s worth a try, right?”
A murmur - “Two thousand-... did you hear that?” - went through the room, but most of the group set to work without much question, too overwhelmed by their new surroundings to question the decision. The modern teens stood around awkwardly, wondering what was going on, but too intrigued to leave just yet.
The officer turned to them after handing out papers to everyone in the room.
“Are you - you all speak English, right? - did you change your clothes since you got here? Where’s all that makeup from? I thought you were all, like, eighteenth-century intellectuals or whatever.”
“What?” asked one of them. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Can you tell me when you were born?”
“I didn’t do anything! You’ve got the wrong guy, officer!”
“Don’t worry,” the officer laughed. “I’m not trying to arrest you. The thing is, for the last couple days, we’ve had a bit of an issue at that bar back there. Some freaky sci-fi time-travel thing -” he stopped, and sighed - “I know I sound like I’m batshit insane, but I swear to God, yesterday I had to arrest William bloody Shakespeare, so I figured I had to do something before it all got way, way out of hand. I guess that’s new information to you?”
The teens nodded.
“We could, like, help, though,” one of them added.
“Can we meet Shakespeare?”
“Are those people in, like, togas - are they, like, actual Greeks?”
“Greece is a country, Harold,” came the sarcastic reply.
“You know what I mean.”
The officer interrupted them. “Hey, I just thought of something. Do any of you have extra beds at home? None of these people have any real money on them, and they’ll need papers before we can find them serious jobs. We can’t afford to keep them all at the motel forever.”
There were a few volunteers. Some knew people who might be able to help. The officer went on: “I’m going to need to check in with you in a couple of days to see how it’s going. How about Saturday? Show up here whenever?”
Erin broke in. “I don’t think we’ll be able to make it for Saturday. Pride is all day long, and I’ve got a space saved for the float I’ve been working on.”
“Oh my god,” cut in Tina. “Oh… my god. Pride. Erin, these people have never been to pride.”
Erin’s eyes lit up. “This is going to be incredible.”
“How’s the float going? Is there still time for some changes? I just had the coolest idea,” Tina gushed. “It’s gonna be the best parade you’ve ever seen.”
“Oh,” Erin laughed, eyes wide with excitement. “Oh, absolutely. I might need some help, but...” she turned to look at Kristina. “I don’t think we’re really lacking volunteers, if you know what I mean. My house at eight tomorrow? We’ll need all the time we have.”
The idea of the project was explained to the roomful of historical figures, along with a quick overview of the concept of pride and a gesture-filled description of a parade float. It didn’t take much to convince them to participate.

▼ SOMETHING WICKED
Scott McCall was born and raised in Mystic Falls, his parents having divorced when he was only thirteen years old. It was then that his father got a job promotion, becoming a field agent for the FBI and thus moving to Raleigh, North Carolina. Ever since then, Scott has been living with his mother who happens to be a nurse at the local hospital. Growing up, Scott had a normal childhood, never finding out about the fact that his father had the werewolf gene. The man didn’t find it necessary to tell his son about it, given the fact that he himself had always managed to remain untriggered and he figured his son would grow up to do the same. He knew that Scott was a good kid, so he saw no reason to inform him about his species. Rafael McCall was also afraid to tell his now ex wife Melissa McCall about the werewolf gene, scared she would leave him and maybe also turn Scott away if she found out about what they really were. Scott has always been a quiet kid, someone who never bothers anyone. In fact, he’s known to be the nice guy, the one who often acts as a mediator whenever two people are fighting. His best friend Stiles Stilinski has been by his side ever since they were four years old and the two boys naturally clicked, becoming friends quickly. Right after the divorce of his parents, Scott met Allison Argent, who had just moved to Mystic Falls. Even though he was only thirteen years old at the time, he began to develop a crush on the girl right away, but never found the courage to go up and talk to her. He’d always found Allison special somehow and more often than not, he wished he was brave enough to say something to the girl. When Scott started high school at age fourteen, he tried out for the football team and managed to become a part of it with Stiles, prompting them to spend more time with one another on the field. Ever since Scott was sixteen years old, he’s had a job at the local animal clinic after school, working for Alan Deaton. There, he worked as an assistant veterinarian, which was something that the young boy loved more than anything. He enjoyed working with animals so much that he’d set out to become a veterinarian one day, just like his boss. Scott worked hard at the animal clinic as well as trying to keep his grades up at school and going to football practice and games. It was a lot to juggle, but Scott got through it with the help of his friends who supported him. Scott chose to attend the same college as Allison, deciding to stay in Mystic Falls and enrolling at Whitmore college when he was eighteen. Only a couple of weeks into his freshman year however, tragedy struck the young man. It wasn’t often that Scott went to parties, but there were times when he let people persuade him to tag along. One night, he’d been attending a party at Whitmore and ended up driving his two drunk friends home, with Scott being the only sober one in the car. After a short while, another vehicle came out of nowhere, hitting Scott’s car full force, which caused it to drive off the road and hit a tree. Scott was the only survivor and called for help once he managed to climb out of the car. He’d just killed two of his friends, unaware of the fact that his werewolf curse was now triggered and that he’d turn the next full moon. That day, he started feeling strange, knowing something was wrong with him, but not understanding just what it was. He felt more aggressive, as if he was about to explode for some reason.
The full moon was fast approaching and Scott felt his hands starting to transform during dinner with his mother. Before she could see anything, he excused himself, running right into the woods, scared as ever. His sharp teeth were beginning to extend and Scott was desperate at that point. Luckily for him, Derek Whittemore was nearby and he picked up on Scott’s scent and sounds, making his way over. It was evident to him that Scott was a newly triggered werewolf and Derek promised to help him, locking the young boy up in one of the cellars inside the woods. The next morning, Derek came by with fresh clothes and food, explaining everything to a still confused Scott. Scott, wanting answers, decided to drive to Raleigh to find his father, demanding an explanation. Eventually, Rafael told his son everything, wanting to move back to Mystic Falls to keep him safe. Scott was angry however, telling his dad to stay away. He had no idea how to handle his new life and he was too scared to tell his mother. Instead, he turned to Derek for help, wanting the other werewolf to help him find a cure to the werewolf gene. Scott didn’t see it as a gift, he thought it was a curse, something that prevented him from living a normal life. Eventually though, Scott grew accustomed to his species and powers, deciding to use them to help people who needed it. During his college years, Scott became close friends with Lydia Martin who supported his dream to become a veterinarian and even helped him with schoolwork. Scott soon became one of her best friends, someone she trusted with her life because she knew he’d always be there. In return, Scott supported Lydia’s dream to become a bioengineer and it wasn’t until a couple of months ago that the two got drunk to celebrate the fact that Scott was graduating soon. It turned into something more though, with Scott and Lydia ending up in bed together that night and with Lydia becoming pregnant with his baby. She was afraid to tell him about it, since she knew that he was about to start his career as a veterinarian, so she kept her pregnancy a secret. However, when Lydia started to show, Scott grew suspicious and questioned her about it, but she told him that the baby wasn’t his. She told him that she’d slept with Jordan Parrish around the time she’d also had sex with Scott and that he wasn’t the father. Lydia never told Scott that she wanted him to be happy too and that that was why she lied about who the baby’s father really was. After their son Riley McCall was born, Lydia finally told Scott the truth, but he was anything but happy. In fact, Scott told her that he never wanted to see the girl again and that he just wanted joint custody of his son. Scott knows that their son also has the werewolf gene and that if he takes a life some day, he’ll trigger her curse. Scott wants to do whatever he can to protect his son from the dangers of being a werewolf and from the dangers of Mystic Falls. He knows he was harsh with Lydia when he said he never wanted to see her again and misses having her in his life. After graduating from college, Scott started working as a veterinarian at the animal clinic and finally became an Alpha by showing an immense force of will, breaking through a barrier of mountain ash. Ever since that moment, he’s become more confident, showing his skills as a leader, no longer the scared and insecure boy he used to be.
▼ TANGLED WEBS
Lydia Martin
Lydia never knew that Scott had a crush on Allison because he never once told her about it, all while he was one of her best friends. Right before he would finish college, they got drunk and ended up in bed together, with Lydia ending up pregnant and giving birth to his son. Scott’s been furious with her for lying about who the father was, but he misses having her in his life and wants to protect both her and Riley.
Allison Argent
Scott had a crush on Allison when she first came to town and he was only thirteen years old. He’d always been afraid to talk to her, not to mention that his life got crazy after he triggered his curse and other things became his priorities. He also knows that she’s Lydia’s best friend, who he now has a child with, so maybe it’s best not to tell Allison he had a crush on her.
Mieczyslaw Stilinski
Stiles and Scott have been best friends since they were four years old, even joining the football team together back in high school. Stiles can’t feel any more proud of his best friend when Scott gains Alpha status and naturally, Scott is right by Stiles’ side after he turns into a vampire. He’s glad that his best friend is still around since the only other choice was Stiles dying permanently and Scott wouldn’t have been okay with that.
Tara Raeken
Tara used to be friends with Scott, until she and her family moved away from Mystic Falls and everyone thought she was dead. After Scott learns that Tara is still alive, she shows interest in joining his pack, just like her brother. The question just is, which Raeken sibling can Scott actually trust?
Derek Whittemore
Derek was the one who helped Scott with his transformations, assisting him when it came to dealing with being a werewolf. Derek wasn’t happy when Scott told him he saw being a werewolf as a curse rather than as a gift. It wasn’t an easy process and the two guys clashed often over their different views on their species, but Scott is still thankful to Derek for helping him through everything.
Malia Hale
Scott is an Alpha werewolf whose roar triggered Malia’s curse to break. It’s because of him that she’s been turned back into her normal self after years. He knows that Nathaniel’s got the situation under control, but Scott still feels responsible for Malia somehow and checks up on her from time to time.
Isaac Lahey
While they’ve rarely ever spoken, Isaac does look up to Scott and admires his genuine nature. He knows that Scott became an Alpha because of his strength and Isaac looks up to the guy for that as well. He hopes that one day, he’ll be just like Scott - a leader, someone who is selfless and looks out for others before himself.
Andrew Thompson
Scott was the one who separated Drew from Katherine and told him what he actually was. He promised to help Drew through it all after learning that the werewolf thought he was a hunter ever since he was little. But when Drew had to leave town, he told Scott to look after Wes and not tell anyone about him leaving. Scott respected the man’s wishes and made sure to keep an eye on Drew’s brother.
Katherine Pierce
Katherine is definitely not used to guys like Scott. When Drew tried to kill her one night after hunting her, Scott was the one who saved her life and she doesn’t understand why. When Scott saved Katherine’s life that night, he thought she was Elena, the girl he’d known since childhood, but she soon compelled him to forget about the whole event.
Theodore Raeken
Scott hasn’t seen Theo for years, but he’s glad that his childhood friend has returned to town. Of course, he has no idea about Theo’s true intentions, so Scott doesn’t know that the guy can’t be trusted. Since Scott is a good person and Alpha, he’s not against offering Theo a spot in his pack if that’s what the guy really wants. And that happens to be exactly what Theo wants right now.

After their daughter Riley McCall was born, Lydia finally told Scott the truth, but he was anything but happy. In fact, Scott told her that he never wanted to see the girl again and that he just wanted joint custody of his daughter. Scott knows that their daughter also has the werewolf gene and that if she takes a life some day, she’ll trigger her curse. Scott wants to do whatever he can to protect his daughter from the dangers of being a werewolf and from the dangers of Mystic Falls.
Right before he would finish college, they got drunk and ended up in bed together, with Lydia ending up pregnant and giving birth to his daughter.
Stiles Stilinski
Stiles and Scott have been best friends since they were four years old, even joining the football team together back in high school. Stiles can’t feel any more proud of his best friend when Scott gains Alpha status and naturally, Scott is right by Stiles’ side after he turns into a vampire. He’s glad that his best friend is still around since the only other choice was Stiles dying permanently and Scott wouldn’t have been okay with that.
Noelle Raeken
Noelle used to be friends with Scott, until she and her family moved away from Mystic Falls and everyone thought she was dead. After Scott learns that Noelle is still alive, she shows interest in joining his pack, just like her brother.

Right before he would finish college, they got drunk and ended up in bed together, with Lydia ending up pregnant and giving birth to his daughter.
