Dredge. I love this game and it's story truly does have a twist also it's lovecraftian fishing. Also the collector is a piece of shit and should khs

5. Rat shaker. Name is pretty self explanatory. But actually it's a very fun horror game which makes the actual story hit harder and truly heartbreaking.

6. Ultrakill. Is it horror? Sureeee. Gay dante's inferno.

7. No players online. Yeah uhm hard to explain.

8. Squirrel stapler. How many surrealist pieces am I gonna add? But this game is probably one of the best examples of psychological horror I've ever seen.

9. Inscryption. EVERY version of the game is very cool. Minus P.o.s. sorry P03's version. The mystery and the arg are actually a little spooky.

Prodecktorate: An Honest Critique

So the Prodecktorate: Slaughterhouse card pack has been out for a couple weeks now, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the current state of the game.

Gameplay:

The gameplay has always been top-of-the-line in its genre. The rock-paper-scissors dynamic between brutes, blasters and breakers is executed really well, and having most thinkers and shakers act as buffing and debuffers was pulled off, which I didn't expect them to pull off when they announced the game. Masters can be really useful and fun to play as when you use them right; stealing enemy cards or getting to draw from the deck for free is great fun, but pretty unbalanced to play against. Tinkers are conceptually great as a jack-of-all-trades class, but their execution is horribly unbalanced. I'll get to that in Meta though. Strangers having massive evasion and giving intel buffs to their team is useful in concept, but they underperform horrifically in gameplay. I feel like an across-the-board stat buff to most stranger cards could help alleviate this, but there'd need to be a proper look-over for the category to properly solve it.

Meta:

By far the biggest issue with the meta is the absolute dominance of Tinkers. It's been a major problem since the game release, but with the release of Prodecktorate: Slaughterhouse adding the ridiculously overpowered Bonesaw and Defiant cards, it's worse now than it's ever been. Tinkers are meant to be jack-of-all-trades cards, but they're far too powerful in far too many categories that there's really no reason to play anyone but tinkers in most of your deck slots. Bonesaw can summon one of either Murder Rat, Pagoda or Hack Job from the reserve pile per turn without costing a deck slot, which is a ridiculously strong major power to start off with, usually master powers either get hero units that cost deck slots or grunt units that don't; getting hero units that don't cost deck slots would make her an S-tier master by herself, but she also comes with pseudo-brute physicals, pseudo-blaster ranged abilities, and a blanket immunity to master powers, which is absolutely bullshit. You're never going to play against a deck without Bonesaw on it. Defiant is almost as bullshit as she is. The nano-thorn ability would make him an S-tier striker by himself, but he also has pseudo-brute physicals, and the combat prediction algorithms passive he has gives him B or A-tier combat thinker abilities. That's not even to mention the ridiculous boost he gets when deployed alongside Dragon (who's broken in her own way, but she's always been broken, so I won't get into it.)

Overall:

The game's really not in a good state right now. It has good fundamentals, but enough categories are broken or unfun to play against that it really draws down the overall experience, not to mention the utter dominance of tinkers severely limiting what can be played outside the most casual of matches. They'll need to take a serious look at the effect of the recent cards when balancing for the upcoming Prodecktorate: Irregulars if they want to get the game out of the slump it's in.

theres a very widely known theory that goomer, the minion of henry danger villain Frankini, according to his quote from goomer, “[he] used to work for Frankini’s sister” was also a character in Sam and Cat, Cat being played by Ariana Grande, sister to Frankie Grande, actor of Frankini. so, if this theory is true (which i personally think it is) henry danger is also in the same universe as Sam and Cat, which would also make henry danger in the same universe as Victorius and iCarly!

so, Mighty Med, The Thundermans, Lab Rats, Henry Danger, Game Shakers, Victorious, and iCarly should all be in the same universe. plus, whatever other shows are connected to these already listed

conclusion: Tori Vega from Victorious could absolutely do a private performance on the Bionic Island for the bionic kids, paid for by Davenport from Lab Rats

World Building Pt.4: Actual 'world' building

So obviously we know that most of the towns and cities in the shows don’t really exist. However, some of them have stated specific regions and states where they are set such as Mighty Med taking place in Philadelphia, PA. As for the others such as Swellview I did a little sleuthing to figure out roughly where each of these take place based on little things mentioned in canon and weather patterns.

The Lab Rats home of Mission Creek is another easy one because they at one point it is stated that it’s in California. I’m not stopping there though, personally I believe it takes place in SoCal near Orange County. Which given the climate it would make sense that the Bionic Island is just off the coast in Baja California. This would also mean that Tasha and Leo, assuming they arn’t transplants, would use SoCal slang. However, I don’t believe the trio would necessarily have Cali accents. Maybe Bree would to fit in more, but after living so long detached from society I believe that Adam having only really heard Donald for the longest time would share his accent for the most part and Chase probably dosen’t have a definable accent. He has a computer in his brain and access to every bit of slang/inflection that has ever been recorded. So he probably dosen’t speak with much of one. He might have picked up more Cali slang and gestures from his time with Leo, but I doubt he uses them unless specifically talking to Tasha or Leo. 

It isn’t ever brought up were Centium City resides, but based on the fact that it appears a lot colder and is the home town of both the Davenport brothers and Principle Perry. I believe that Centium City is in the state New Jersey. Perry has a lot of stereotypical qualities(I apologize to anyone from NJ, I’ve never been and all I have is media for examples) that kinda makes me think that she would be from there. Also could you please imagine Perry, Donald, and Douglas with Jersey accents. Incredible. I think that the brothers have probably lost a good bit of there accents from time away, but whenever they are near each other or are particularly emotional the accents come out in full force. Otherwise Donald probably dosen’t have a  very definable accent due to all his traveling and working with a wide array of people, and Douglas probably has nothing but different bits of mixed up slang due to his colorful environment.

Henry Danger/Danger Force were a bit difficult until I rewatched the Game Shakers x Henry Danger crossover special. While discussing places to go Kenzie brings up Swellview and states that its in ‘The Heart of America’. While many states can try to claim that they are the heart of the country, the only one that is usually agreed upon is Kansas. Climate wise it also makes sense as swellview has shown to be rather windy and Kansas in right within Tornado Alley. This means that Swellviews hilariously named neighboring towns also take place in Kansas. All the characters (with the exception of Schwoz) would also use more Kansan slang as all of them have stated to have lived in the area their whole lives. Which leads me to bring up Dystopia where the original Danger Crew moved to after S5. All we know about Dystopia is that its really dangerous and kinda nearby as Henry seems willing to get there without the use of Miles’s powers. Now for this I looked up where the most dangerous cities in America were and I’m so sorry Missouri but you guys have several cities in the top 10 list. It is also right next-door to Kansas. 

Like HD/DF the Thundermans home of Hiddenville doesn’t have a named state. It also appears to have a fairly neutral environment. Initially I was thinking of Tennessee but all things considered there’s a distinct lack of countryisms (I know not all Tennessee is county music and farm life but it still dosen’t quit fit). Then I was thinking Washington due to the ‘Land of 1,000 parks’ bit(According to google Seattle, WA has 874 parks), but theres a lack of mountain ranges. However, it’s the closest I’ve got to a real answer so I’m sticking to it until I find more evidence. Even if Hiddenville is in Washington, I don’t think any of the Thundermans(with maybe the exception of Chloe) would have any slang or dialect from there. The family transplanted more than likely from a different state to go into hiding. Given that Metroberg is basically the Capitol of all USA Supers, I think it would probably also be in Virginia nearby D.C. Meaning the family would have similar accents and mannerisms to Virginians. At least in the beginning, later on the kids probably adopt the slang of those nearby.

Finally Villains of Valley View. It’s already mentioned in the show that Valley View is in Texas, but like the Thundermans the Madden family is also transplanted and on the run/in hiding. While it’s never truly stated where they came from we can infer from some details. Eva has a very noticeable British accent so she probably moved to the US as a young adult. I don’t know what it is but for some reason Vic gives me NorCal vibes specifically Sacramento, CA. I have no clue why but he does. I imagine that after they unofficially wed(they couldn’t legally get married as wanted criminals) Vic and Eva moved to the Bay Area where they did some villainy and started their family. I don’t have a name for the town/city where they grew up yet, but I am absolutely accepting suggestions.

They would just have to move the communication device to somewhere with more space, after all, everyone wants to have a glimpse of what you have in the future, even the ones who refuse to give in to your influence. But it could also go with you inviting whoever is your favorite to your lobby and have a private session.) I can't promise everyone would be delighted to know that the player is a girl in this case. I try to remember myself that this is not supposed to be a super fun and cutesy AU and that realistically these characters do not trust you much, but I can't help but go along with these ideas 😭

decides early on, somewhere between their power being shut off & eating shitty synth food 3x a day, that being poor is not for her, and so she studies like hell. eventually gets into med school 🎉🎉, but by this point, she's old enough and experienced enough class inequality to be over the glittry promise of astra.

now, she's just trying to do what she can to stay above the poverty line. it's really just a constant game of reverse limbo, not helped much by her bi-weekly binge drinking sessions that end with her blacked out in the worst of places.

currently employed at apollo med as an unimpressed + underpaid receptionist, but she's there to see the grisly scenes. occasionally picks up extra shifts at world diner for extra $$, because her manager was rly nice and let her study when she was working there as a high-schooler.

I'm 1h40m into Quinton's massive 9 ½ hour behemoth finale for Sam and Cat, and seeing this while I'm sick is a joy.

Seeing this and his other NSU content as time goes by is kind of funny because it shows me how much I aged out of Nick sitcoms when they were still in syndication. I have fond memories of stuff like Zoey 101 and Drake and Josh, some of Unfabulous (I found it too boring to care about) iCarly, and next to nothing with Victorious and Sam and Cat. I sure as hell have no feelings towards Henry Danger and Game Shakers either.

I remember a friend telling me about the Breakfast Club parody Victorious did and I kind of rolled my eyes at it, both with how it's still a favorite of mine (even if it didn't age super well) and shows, namely aimed at kids and tweens, don't usually stick their landings well. Even after checking it out, my feelings are unwavering and I get secondhand embarrassment seeing it in Quinton's breakdown.

But I digress.

All of this is to say that I aged out of a lot of these shows and finding out Sam and Cat did an entire episode that was a parody of Silence of the Lambs is unreal to me. Seeing Anthony Heald got me so excited because it went in a direction I didnt expect and I was on the same page as him when Hippie Rat spoke about it. There's no way this was real. Absolutely no way.

Not gonna lie, I kind of want to see the episode in full now, even though he summed it up super well from what I can gauge. Them straight up ending the episode on that note is unintentionally dark, and his addendum about Noah distancing himself from the franchise kind of makes it funnier and darker.

I look forward to how weird this gets from here on out. I hope before it ends, we get some unhinged theories about Nona and her history. I'm sure you could shitpost anything and it would manage to work as a valid headcanon for something she did or experienced.
