Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, also known as National Unity Day, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at MBS International School School on 31 October 2023 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the ‘Iron Man of India’, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event aimed to instill a sense of national unity and integrity among the students.
The day commenced with students from classes VI to XII taking the National Unity Pledge in the school assembly. This solemn oath emphasised the importance of unity, peace, and harmony, highlighting the principles that Sardar Patel stood for.
A documentary on the life and achievements of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was shown to the students of classes VI & VII in the school auditorium. Following the documentary screening, a quiz competition was also organized for them to test their knowledge about Sardar Patel and his contributions to the nation.
Students of Class VIII participated in an extempore competition on the theme Unity'. Students enthusiastically expressed their thoughts on the importance of unity in the diverse and pluralistic society of India.
The celebration served as a reminder for the importance of unity in our diverse nation and inspired students to work together for the progress and prosperity of India. The day concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and commitment to upholding the unity of the nation.
