Rarepair New Year 2023 event, ch9: Pink/Lust, NSFW.

Not that Pink doesn't like his job, but he can't deny that he's glad to finally get home. Even better that for once it's still pretty early in the evening, which means that he'll probably be able to snuggle in bed with a good book before going to sleep.

Finally, the conclusion to Pink searching for his true love!! I really wanted to write Pink with other Papyri first, but I didn't have enough time, but I do have ideas, so I might write drabbles for them one day! (just so know you, all these chapters should have been 'drabbles' too...)

The History of Rarepair New Year - 2023

Circa 2023, @kamari333 hosted a community event for the whole of January 2023 celebrating Rarepairs, modeling the idea after the smaller ask event they did in 2022. This Event was primarily hosted in the Official Rarepair New Year Event Discord Server.

This event had prizes involved, and to that end, some restrictions were made to make fairly calculating the winnings easier on the event moderators. "Event-Certified" Rarepairs which would qualify for prizes were defined as "any Ship with an AO3 tag that isnt canonized, or that has less than 25 works, or that is populated by the works of less than 25 different authors." The metrics for these definitions were pulled directly from AO3 at the time of the event.

Because the event was intended to be accessible and welcoming to a wide variety of different Fans, it was made open to all Fandoms despite being made with Undertale/UTMV in mind. It was, however, also made to be for Adults Only.

RAREPAIR NEW YEAR 2023

The new year is approaching and I wanna celebrate it with all my friends (you guys). So. This year, I wanna make a BIG EVENT just for us all to enjoy rarepairs!!

For the whole month of January, I'll be running the Rarepair New Year Event, where (1) anyone can post rarepair content (Art and/or Fics) with the #RarepairNewYear and #RarepairNewYear2023 tags; (2) eligible participants* can join the discord and enter their content for a chance at prizes!

* must be 18+ to join the official event

Yes, there is a lottery with prizes! Some lovely volunteers have offered their work for raffle prizes, and you can enter the raffle by joining and showing off your work!

The event begins January 1st (and ends January 31st), but the discord doors are open starting Now. You can enter the discord by clicking this link and help get all our ships in order.

You can read the entire Fic Event Rules and Regulations Document here in Google Docs -- it is a little clinical and dry, though, so I'll paraphrase here too.

This Event is to celebrate Rarepairs, unironically. We do that by making content for them!

Rarepairs are defined, for the purposes of this event, as any Ship with an AO3 tag that isnt canonized, or that has less than 25 works, or that is populated by the works of less than 25 different authors.

Since this is made with Undertale/UTMV in mind, both Relationship tags and Fandom-Specific Additional Tags that inform on AUs count for this event.

All Fandoms are welcome, though! So don't feel pressure!

All validly tagged and processed submissions to the discord are eligible for 1 ticket. If the work meets other requirements, you can get multiple tickets for one work.

At the end of the event, lotteries will be run for all the volunteered prize pots! You get to choose what pots your tickets go in.

The Official Event is only open to participants that are 18 or older. We will ask.

Rarepair New Year 2023 event, ch8: Pink/Slim, NSFW.

Pink knocks on the door three times before opening it with the spare key Black gave him a long time ago. The smaller skeleton instructed him in an earlier text to simply let himself in and join the couple in the bedroom instead of waiting for Black to answer the door.

I wasn't planning on including Slim in Pink's adventures, but then I felt bad for excluding him so I HAD to dedicate a chapter for him. And I like the idea I got for him, plot-wise.

Oh no I love them. I wanna make more content with them. And find a good shipname for them. Has anyone come up with anything for them before?? I lowkey wanna be the one to name their ship but I terribly suck at finding names... Kinda wanna go with ‘muscat’ because it’s quite literally black grape and it just fits.

Rarepair New Year 2023 event, ch3: Grape/Red(Swapfell Purple!Sans/Underfell!Sans), NSFW.

Grape hums to the song playing on the radio as he passes the plate he just finished cleaning up for Red to dry. The background music helps the silence between them be less awkward, though Grape can't say the atmosphere between them is completely comfortable.

Many people had asked for a Red/Grape fic when I wrote this chapter of the Bet, and now, a billion years later, I’ve finally written one! Though it’s absolutely not part of the Bet’s series, sorry! XDD Anyway, I really like the dynamic between these 2, I think it’d be nice if more people made content for them!!

Pink is in the middle of doing shopping when he realizes that he doesn't have to buy new clothes alone. He grabs his phone, swipes at the screen a few times and hits call.

When I started the Lust!Pap chapters, I didn't necessarily meant for them to be connected to one another, but it kinda ended up that way and I went with it, and this chapter is the first one where I really aimed for some plot progression. I think Stretch would be a great boyfriend to a lot of people. Also, gotta thank @redtomatofan for the lingerie suggestions! ♥
