I’d argue it depends on ur age a bit too tho. Like I’m the same age. So yeah if it’s not starting when I was a baby I wouldn’t have as much NOW, but I just need to live another 28 years to make that much money. So I just have to live to be 57? Not unreasonable, and making $1,000 a day greatly increases my chances of living even longer (tho we all know we’re not gonna just squirrel it away until then tbf). The older you are when these payments start the less likely it is you’ll get the same value though.

It also feels more stable to have smaller (but still substantial!) recurring payments indefinitely. If something happens (like you blow it unwisely, or get conned/robbed) you don’t lose the future payments. With the one time it’s much easier to lose it all.

Surprise shiny encounter in Pokemon Y! Literally the worst ability but perhaps I'll grind out Battle Points at the Battle Maison in Pokemon X to get the Ability Capsule to switch it to Iron Fist. But...yay!!! I rarely encounter shiny Pokemon outside of the mandatory Red Gyarados in Heart Gold/Soul SIlver.
