Well i think you rember that scene from Resident Evil 7 on the stranded boat were Eveline asks Mia:" can we be a family again like before?" And I onestly wonder what would have happened if Mia just answered with: " Yes Evie, we can be a family, under one condition. You have to promise to never hurt anyone ever again."

What do you think Eveline would have done? I mean it would be totally out of character for her to reject that. She was willing to do anything to get what she wanted. So giving her what she wanted and in turn only demanding that she is no longer killing anyone does not seem like that big of a deal. Sure she was raised to do that but children are impressionable and easier to change than fully grown adults who have already made up their mind. The fact that she disobeyed her creators and the fact that she was doubting herself after losing to Rose clearly proves that she has the will to change. She just doesn´t know in which direction.

So I think it would have worked. Sure raising her, teaching her to control her emotions (and inturn her powers) and giving her the therapi she needs would be the more difficult part, but I think it would be worth it. And if I had to decide between adopting or killing a child I would defenately pick the first one.

So what do you think would It have worked, or how do think Eveline would have responded to that?

First, I love this idea. I think the idea of Mia taking a moment to consider what exactly she's dealing with would be nice, and for her to try and deescalate things by not antagonizing Eveline would... probably save a lot of harm at this point.

So let's assume Mia really takes a look at Eveline, at this child who has just been doing the only thing she knows how to do while trying to find people to be her family, and is kind of like "Goddamn it..." because she actually starts to feel some sympathy for Evie again. She's seeing that little girl that was pawned off to her before the boat ride. She’s a little weird, a little creepy even, but she’s only a kid. So, against her better judgment “Yes, Eveline. We can be a family again-”

And I think that response would just catch Eveline off guard. She’s up out of the chair staring at Mia with disbelief, even some excitement. Then a pause, and hesitation. “You’re not lying again. Right?”

“No, no more lies.” Mia kneels to match Eveline’s height, holding out a hand. “We’ll be a real family this time. I promise. But I need you to promise me something, too, okay?” Eveline gives a small nod. “You can’t hurt anybody else like this. No m  ore molded, no more… controlling people. No more death. Do you think you can do that?”

Still a little cautious, Eveline takes Mia’s hand, and together they go to the lower decks to find Ethan where Eveline frees him from the blob of mold. After a momentary freak out seeing this kid that’s been tormenting him for the past 6 hours, Mia explains the situation to him. He’s hesitant, even skeptical that Mia might not be fully herself, and she understands why. After a lot of reassurance that 1) Mia is not being controlled and made this choice willingly, and 2) Eveline isn’t going to be a harm to them, their only real obstacles are making Eveline a stabilizer so she doesn’t die of rapid aging (chosing to believe this would revert her physical form back to a child), and Blue Umbrella finally doing their job of investigating the place.

The stabilizer is easy enough within the Mine Labs. Lucas has so much stuff on Eveline, he’s bound to have something, and Mia probably has some know-how on how to make it (also cue Mia muttering insults towards The Connections for screwing her over when they were literally in contact with Lucas. Maybe she shouldn’t be surprised, but she still feels a little betrayed.)

Blue Umbrella is a little harder to deal with. They already know Eveline is a Bioweapon. They won’t just let the Winters’ leave with her like nothing. Unless they sneak away with her. Which they probably could since Eveline wouldn’t be keeping them bound to the property anymore.

(There’s also Zoe who I don’t think Mia would feel comfortable just leaving behind and would probably want to go back for)

All of that aside, I think they could make it work out. With Ethan and Mia (and maybe Zoe. I live for cool aunt Zoe) trying to teach Eveline better ways to deal with aggression, a SHITLOAD of therapy (for everyone), and Eveline finally having a (somewhat) normal setting/finally being allowed to just be a child. I think it would largely work out.

Mia and Evie’s relationship would also be kind of intriguing. Because they have to learn to fully trust each other, and while they do they end up with this bond that Eveline initially wanted. The whole time she never allowed Mia to fully slip into the delusions because she wanted legitimate maternal affection/care from her, and now she has that.

Anyway TLDR: Obstacles aside, I think Eveline would accept the offer and they would all live a decent life. Given the circumstances. (They’d probably still be in witness protection because The Connections are going to come for Mia AND Eveline’s asses)

Well I know that you do not like the way Eveline was treated in Resident Evil. I actually agree with you and I onestly think that she deserves a seconed chance. I am just wandering why noone has ever made a webcomic specificly dedicated her yet. I mean I would love to see an ask blog with her as the protagonist. Maybe an undertale level fan comic that gives Eveline a fully fleshed redemption ark.

ps: I am also wandering why you haven`t done anything like that yourself.

Eveline feels like a character that doesn't get a lot of content/attention. Cause she's not really like... a loved Villain or anything beyond a certain group(that I can tell. WHich is a shame. Because Eveline has a lot to her that I think is really interesting.) Like, she's not forgotten like Moreau, but she also isn't really loved like Alcina or Wesker or whoever.

(Also imo there are some people who are like... way too hard on Eveline. Like, yeah, she did horrible things. But she's also a child that was brought up to be a weapon. It's all she knows.)

In terms of... myself.... I dunno.

I haven't focused on Eveline in a long time. I love her dearly, and I'd love to make some AU or something where her and the Winters can be a family or something. I just haven't really thought about it a whole lot.

Hey, It's me again. I have found a realy long fanfiction that actually plays with the idea of Ethan saving Eveline instead of killing her. It is actually a very far developed and well written story. I don`t know what was holding me back so far. I mean I have enogh ideas and I am comic writer after all. So instead of complaining about all these AUs and crossovers being absent , I can just write them myself. If no one has ever done it should be my job to fill that gap.

To be onsest, despite everything I have said so far, I don`t think that it would fit Mias and or Ethans character to look past the mold to see the lonely and cofused child that hides behind the mask. They are just to hateful and impulsive for that.

I personaly think she woulld need a compleatly different person to redem her. Characters that are known for their kindness and epathy towards even the cruelest persons. Maye a specific Oc or even characters from a compleatly different fandom.

I personally have two scenarios in mind that would also make for some great webcomis or fanfictions:

An Undertale crossover were Eveline (in her child form) falls into the underground instead of Frisk. It would be interesting to see her interactions with Flowey and Toriel. Espacialy Toriel since she is also lonely and wants a child of her own. It would be interesting to see how much her influence would change the underground and the main story in general. I would also love to see her interactions with Papyrus and all the other characters, espacialy her diologs with Flowey, who would be trying to manipulate her. Beeing torn between what´s right and what´s wrong could be an interesting struggle for her. Maybe her soul would have some special propertise that she could use. I would also be curios to see how the monsters would interpret their findings when anilizing her body , genes and internal parts. Maybe she would also free the monsters like Frisk did and if not I would love to know how much she would alter this place.

A story were Eveline meets SCP-999. You know that cute orange slime creature that just wants to hug, tickle and make everyone happy. Its also known to cure depression and comfort people that are lonely and or sad. You get the idea. I mean she would be irritaded at first but since she can`t kill it, It would probably become her friend or pet. It would act like a dog and It would alsways be willing to play with her. I mean it would try to help her but at the same time protect everyone who she is trying to harm. So who knows how it would play out.

Ps: I dearly apologize in case I have been anoying you with these long questions lately.

Yeah, but that's part of the fun with AU stuff. Like, realistically they probably wouldn't, but what if they did anyway, y'know? (Granted you're talking to someone who's whole blog is basically just Mia x Alcina AU content)

I don't know much about SCP 999 but the idea of Eveline being stuck with this slime ball for a friend is kind of funny. "Aggressive child slowly learns to love through the unconditional love of a pet" is kind of cute tbh, I just don't know enough to have a full input on it.

Makes me think a scenario where SCP and Resident Evil are in the same universe, too, and instead of Blue Umbrella coming to kill Evie, the SCP Foundation shows up to capture her instead (but also the Baker house would probably be considered a secondary part of her, and the people inside a third, so I don't know if they'd take her from the location or just heavily quarantine it off. Since Eveline doesn't do anything unless someone steps on the property anyway. Unfortunately this also means nobody who goes on it leaves but y'know.)

The Undertale AU is neat too, I'm just... Not that big into Undertale anymore pfff. Just... Given how Eveline is, I don't even know if she would leave Toriel's house. Assuming all this happens the same kind way, Eveline would get saved by Toriel, taken through the entrance to the Underground, and the probably just vibe when she basically claims Evie as her own. Cause that's pretty much all Evie wants.

Frisk left because they wanted to go home. Unless Eveline has someone she's trying to go back to, I think she'd be more like Chara and just sort of hang out with Toriel.
