#ranting about tof because i hate this game

finally finished the Domain 9 main story.

Domain 9 maps and story arcs are probably my least favorite. it was so tedious, i don't think i can actually finish exploring it as much as i want to collect the rewards. just looking at the maps felt exhausting.

there was a part in the story where you keep going back and forth from Infinite Sundial to another location. the one that annoyed me the most was the part where you leave Infinite Sundial to meet "an old friend" at the Celestial Gate. when you get there, this character named Plotti is all serious talking about the time she wasted while waiting. after that, the mission requires you to go back to Infinite Sundial. WHY COULDN'T SHE JUST GET THERE HERSELF AND SAVE EVERYONE THE LECTURE?

speaking of which, i can't seem to take the new characters seriously. Yanuo, Plotti, Brevey... their names and attire somehow do not fit the setting. why is this game churning out all girls now?

this game really went all out on Domain 9 i swear. even the cutscene illustrations are of Domain 9 characters despite being in another map and the loading screen tips are talking about non-Domain 9 concepts.

i am so glad it ended with a trip back to familiar maps. i actually really enjoyed the game up until Vera. by Domain 9 it felt less sci-fi for some reason. i loved when it was about sci-fi wastelands and mutations and something about time fluctuations. i kinda lost interest when it became about aliens.

main story was just not hitting for me but i need to unlock new maps so here i am.
