I have been thinking about Miss USA Miss-Universe-national-costume-contest costumes all day, and listen: I think we should lean into aviation more. Maybe get together with Brazil and do an Inventors of Flight co-costume, our contestant dressed as a sexy Wright brother and theirs dressed as sexy Santo-Dumas?

Thank you for posting about the Miss Universe costumes, I love them very much and I think I might make designing a better USA costume a design assignment for my middle schoolers. I’m thinking I would like to see a Gee’s Bend quilt inspired one!

Also, I just realized I met you at the Baltimore oddities convention last year, gotta visit your store some time!
