I have always dreamt of going to Rajasthan. It feels like that place calls my name. It's my special place. I don't know why but I feel connected to that state in a different way. I want to go there so bad.
P.S. :- some pictures are from Pinterest while others are mine

roop ya gun?
gun.
aur roop?
wo to dekhne wali ki aankhon me hota hai.
arthaat?
kisi ko patthar me shivling dikhta hai aur kisi ko shivling me bhi patthar.
jeevan ka varnan teen shabdon me?
amrit, prem, aur tyaag.
prem kya hai?
ishwar ki aankh me ubhra hua khushi ka aansu.
aansu kya hai?
sukh aur dukh ki hadd.
sukh kya hai?
bhram.
ranbhoomi me sabse bada shastra kya hai?
himmat.
jeevan me sabse kathin ghadi?
pariksha ke baad parinaam ki.
aur sabse badi bhet?
aashirvaad.
one of my favourite scenes from the movie <3

Celebrating the Resplendent Kavad Art of Rajasthan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rajasthan's Kavad art is a vibrant testament to India's rich cultural heritage, weaving myths, legends, and daily life into intricately carved, foldable wooden shrines. Skilled artisans bring divine tales to life with precision and passion, showcasing Rajasthan's unique cultural identity. With intricately carved wooden panels, vivid natural colors, and delicate layered storytelling, Kavad art preserves the state's history, mythology, and folklore. Let's honor the artisans' dedication, preservation of traditional techniques, and Rajasthan's cultural legacy. Kavad art reminds us that art transcends time and space, culture is a living entity, and tradition meets innovation, making it a true masterpiece of Indian folk art.

The word Pichwai has its roots in the Sanskrit pich (behind) and wai (hanging). A traditional art form that emerged in the 17th Century at the Nathdwara temple in Rajasthan, Pichwais are intricate paintings dedicated to Shrinathji and are typically hung behind the idol of the deity in local shrines

Hi, I am a rajput woman. Born into it. Married. For years ive wanted to criticize this caste because it has not been done on any online platforms. Even though issues regarding patriarchy, sexism, misogyny in india are covered by many here I wanted to do something that specifically affects people of this caste ( they are oblivious about it).
For starters I want to have a list on which I want to freely write (no references, just things ive observed in past 20 or so years). You may disagree with it or have different experience than mine but remember it is what still happening here.
1. Materialism- gold, land, weddings, clothes
2. Alcoholism- rampant. Even on sacred events like wedding.
3. Dowry culture
4. Clinging to the good times. (Goes for every upper caste ig) like having a family records
5. Bana baisa culture on social media and real life
6. Purdah system, modesty
7. Huge divide bw rich, middle and poor
8. Islamophobia. Karni sena
9. Meaningless rituals and traditions
In all these things are interlinked. I cannot speak about one thing without addressing the other. I may have forgotton to add more.
