JAGUAR INC.
Lazy regal cat energy this time. A canaima, specifically. Shapeshifting werejaguar borne of vengeance as inspired by Venezuelan mythos. A different exploration on “and all my devotion turns violent.” She was invoked in response to a kin-killing. Marked on Marked.
Saw Disney’s Aladdin and decided that Rajah was a great name. We roll with that, now. Upper 30s-40s appearance-wise. Older Débora Nascimento vibes. 6`0, no heels. She’s built like an Olympic swimmer.
Gold eyes. Gold, gold eyes.
‘Allegedly’ a malevolent entity, but if you’re talking to her, she’s actually pretty chill because it means she isn’t out to get you, specifically. Patience of ten saints, and then some. Very honest because she is too lazy to lie.
Spends about 75% her time as a human, 15% as a smaller version of her jaguar self (can be mistaken as a Bengal cat), and 10% of her time as a jaguar the size of a small horse. She is massive. That form is used solely for killing and cuddling.
Catnip works. All forms.
Abilities include: ambush hunting, your classic supernatural stamina + speed + strength, perfect noise mimicry, and always going in her litterbox. No enhanced regeneration. She pays for each fight dearly, so she tries to fight smart. Unsure if she’s able to truly die through physical injury. Eeeeh. Isn’t willing to risk it.
Loves bubbles!!!!
Fanatically loyal to Weaver. May or may not have participated in the evisceration of a Marked sect gone sour. Mostly likes to lounge in the sun-rays by their bedroom window, if she’s not protecting them from whatever lurks in the rifts. Has been known to trail in Crux’s shadow and will go after anyone human, supernatural, Marked — if asked by Weaver. Or Crux.
Jaguars can’t purr but she fakes it with perfect mimicry and making her body rumble with a very low, sweet growl.
This part is a secret she keeps to herself. Supposedly when the kin-killer is dead, she will be released. It’s a gut feeling. How that translates — freedom, death — she does not know.
Rajah has been trying to get a degree in Ancient History and Classics for about six years, now. It’s slow going and often interrupted by Things™, but she perseveres. Humans are fascinating! She attends local community colleges and fully plans to get another degree when she finishes this one. Yes, she does have student loans. It’s hard finding steady non-suspect employment as a spirit of vengeance. Yes, she does hate late-stage capitalism and is interested in economics out of spite.
Chin scratches are acceptable, thank you. Tummy only for good friends. Best biscuit maker this side of the sea.

✨ I haven’t done a drawing of Princess Jasmine in a long time. Yet, today it felt appropriate to do so after so long. Yesterday, it was announced in an online Disney news article that longtime Disney animator Mark Henn had retired from the Walt Disney Animation Studios after working there for 43 years. I based this drawing of Jasmine on an animation drawing done by Henn. When it came to designing and animating Jasmine, Henn based her final design on his own sister, which is pretty interesting. Years ago in high school, I sent a letter to Mark Henn, wanting to make contact with him, and got a letter and an autographed picture as a response back from him.

Can MC make a cat cult and use cat to attack Yanderes.
MC getting a cat for each dorm/ event and all of them are scheming to get you away from the boys is cute. Unlike Grim, these fur babies can’t be bribed.
*                    *                    *                    *                    *
You love cats.
What’s not to love? The little fluff balls are adorable. And surprisingly the most normal part of this world.
You were a cat person. Plain and simple.
You loved cats, back in your world always feeding them, petting them, cuddling them. You loved them so much that when you first met Grim, you loved him even if he was a pain in the neck that went through tuna like fish breathed in water.
Plus, given how stressful your situation was, they were the perfect stress relief. You can’t count how many nights you fell asleep petting Grim, cuddling Grim in your arms as you slept.
Grim was your ghost repellent, your flame thrower, and your bestfriend/boss. Grim was like a rescue, throwing claws at you at first, and then cuddling up on you for your love and attention.
Grim was a possessive cat, always wanting to be around you and constantly trying to be around you. And when you were threatened or in danger he would attack with his claws or his magic. There was even that one time that he tried to claw out Jamil’s eyes for mind controlling you back during winter break.
To you, that was your one good thing. And because you deserved more good things after everything you went through…..the universe decided to give you a bunch more cats. Yay!
Besides Grim, the first one you met was Cheshire. Who somehow broke into your kitchen and got into Grim’s tuna. The orange tabby had a habit of coming and going whenever he pleased and causing mischief all over Ramshackle, destroying dishes and glasses. But despite your intruder cat’s reign of terror, he had a wonderful habit of popping up from nowhere whenever you visited Heartslabyul.
It was a breath of fresh air whenever he managed to ruin the dorm’s peace and cause disaster to fall like a tower of cards. Like the namesake, Cheshire loved messing things up and causing chaos, breaking teacups, knocking over cakes and treats and vanishing before he could get caught and popping up again whenever anyone thought he was gone to continue it. And whenever one of the boys got too close to you, he’d pop out of nowhere and deliver them a hail of scratches and bites.
So when they inevitably caught him, you scooped the poor baby into your arms and took him as your own before they skinned the cat alive. Cheshire just loved ruining yanderes’ evil plans, and being so adorable that being mad at him for his casual destruction was borderline impossible, and being a free spirit / vigilante that came out of nowhere was quite helpful. And then came more.
After Cheshire, it was Nala, Sushi and Rajah. Your violent babies.
Because much like his namesake, Cheshire came and went as he pleased, only coming in when it was time to be a hero. So you left food for him to eat when he decided to come back. Grim mourned his loss of tuna, but your other cat needed feeding, so you left an open can on the porch with some water. You woke up to Cheshire on your porch with his new friends. Who all jumped you as soon as you opened the door.
Nala, a savannah cat, was a hunter and a fighter. She was a very peaceful kitty with you, but a violent hellspawn with anyone else. She was a territorial kitty so whenever the Savanaclaw boys came near she would leave enough bloody bite marks on them to warrant a rabies shot.
Sushi, a spotted orange, black and white kitty, wasn’t the most feral, but he had a taste for the sea. The tiny kitty always followed you to Octavinelle, and whenever the trio got near he would eye them like dinner. Gotta love merfolk technically being seafood. Sushi was very agile too, so Floyd couldn’t catch them whenever she got too close.
Rajah, an orange and black striped cat the size of a medium-sized dog he’d rip and tear through clothes with his teeth and claws. He hated all your suitors, ripping holes into pants legs, baring fangs and hissing whenever they got too close. He couldn’t be bribed despite even Kalim trying to warm up with him with expensive and delicious smelling treats. But unlike Grim, he couldn’t be tricked.
And after them, it was Duchess, Chimera, and then Diablo. Your crafty kitties.
Duchess, a Persian cat with white fur so long that when you brushed her it looked like your sheets got snowed on, was a spoiled loud princess. So loud that she would yowl at all hours and alert anyone unfortunate or otherwise to hear it. Much to your surprise, whenever Rook decided to invade your privacy she always managed to find him. Which is both strange because the fact Rook barely ever got caught, and helpful because then he couldn’t do whatever. But thanks to…. something, Duchess always found her way to him. And when she did she was like a siren, yowling so loud it woke you up when you were sleeping.
Chimera was an adorably fat patchwork cat that was as lazy as Grim, but had a penchant for finding electronics in Ramshackle and sitting on them. While Idia loves cats to an unhealthy degree, you could see that it was bothering him that Chimera kept destroying his cameras. Too bad, your fat little-big Chimera is a danger to those hidden cameras and as a result of that, a lovely roommate that won’t be moving out.
Diablo, a black cat no surprise, had appeared on top of you when you opened your eyes one morning and didn’t ever leave. You were suspicious of whether or not he was a normal cat, because you noticed the little blue lights that came into the air when he popped out of nowhere. His speciality was messing with magic, or more specifically magical artifacts meant to lure and bind you. The food spelled with potions, necklaces with curses of binding, and even  Whatever was sent would be smashed, shattered and broken before you could be tricked into using them. Incredibly helpful given Diasomnia’s antics, specifically Malleus’ gift giving of precious and usually cursed jewelry.
And then, Count Claudius. And Foxy. And Gideon. And Skelly.
All your possessive and protective little kitties, that made biscuits in your blankets and bite marks on your suitors.
Sure Grim was a lil’ jealous. He was still your number one, you did your best to make sure that he wasn’t going to fight with the cats in a jealous rage.
As for your suitors…..
They were probably pissed. You had to free your precious babies from traps to make sure they were able to come back to Ramshackle come morning. But, Grim mostly fell for them.
But hey, you’d rather be a single cat lady than deal with your yandere suitors. Maybe you could take them home with you.

King of Shades - 58-59
click through to the source for fullview! Charaxes phaeus - Demon Emperor (bilateral gynandromorph) If you're ok with irl bugs, search up their caterpillars too! the caterpillars of the Charaxini tribe (nawabs, rajahs, and pashas) are commonly called "dragon headed caterpillars" because of their distinctive (and awfully familiar-looking) horns. they're also all sexually dimorphic, and I really didn't want to implicitly gender Ghost one way or the other by their markings, so I ended up just literally splitting the difference down the middle. I figured this was a safe enough compromise so now their gender is "yeah lol" (Hollow's remains "no thank you")

weaver is evanescence's neighbor at the safehouse and they hate his guts for the impromptu 3am musical renditions in the bathroom.
evanescence learned about his ability of power seal after getting scared shitless when this massive jaguar looking creature outside his door showed up. yes, said jaguar looking creature is @womanlives rajah about to ask him to keep it down so weaver can sleep. no one had a good time after that. it involved stuffing half of evanescence's body into a rift out of a fit of rage for sealing rajah into one form, rajah somehow calling crux, crux actually showing up at the safehouse at 4am to resolve things, etc.
speaking of crux, very few marked members have actually met him in person. most of them just know he's their sect leader and big and scary ( he's 5'9''-10'', but can crumple your body into a basketball at will ).
does weaver move out of the safehouse and incidentally into the same complex as cruor? yes! it's peaceful for one day before they discover how.... loud........ their new neighbor can be... during vigorous... activities........... i want to clarify that most of the noise is from cruor, and he cannot help how loud he gets so gag him somehow

Babe Ruth is the single most famous baseball player in the entire world. Babe Ruth is also one of the greatest baseball players in the history of the game. The Bambino's slugging ability was so great, his last name became an adjective — "Ruthian" — used to describe performances of heroic proportion. We could effortlessly write an entire book (more books about Babe Ruth have been written than any other player) here, but will stick to a mere handful of career highlights.
Babe Ruth the "champion": Ruth was a World Series champion seven times (1915, 1916, 1918, 1923, 1927, 1928, 1932), the American League home run champion twelve times (1918, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1923, 1924, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931), the RBI Champion six times (1919, 1920, 1921, 1923, 1926, 1928), the On-Base Percentage Champion ten times (1919, 1920, 1921, 1923, 1924, 1926, 1927, 1930, 1931, 1932) and the Slugging Average Champion thirteen times (1918, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931)!
Babe Ruth the "home run king": Ruth was the first player in Major League history to hit 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 home runs. In 1919, Ruth hit 29 home runs becoming the all-time single-season home-run leader. A year later Ruth hit 54 home runs, breaking his own record as the all-time single-season home run leader and became the first player to hit over 50 home runs in a season. The very next year, he hit 59 home runs, breaking his own record yet again. Finally, in 1927, The Sultan of Swat hit 60 home runs, breaking the mark and establishing a plateau that was legendary for decades. Currently, Ruth still holds records for most home runs in any decade (467 in the 1920s), fastest player to hit 600 home runs (2,044 games) and fastest player to hit 700 home runs (2,418 games).
Babe Ruth the "best left-handed pitcher in baseball": Ruth was 18-8 with a 2.44 ERA his first full season on the mound (1915), twenty-wins club (23-12) the very next year (and the ERA Champion, 1.75), and twenty-wins club (24-13) the year after that. Ruth still holds pitching records for most shutouts in a season by a lefty with 9 (tied by Ron Guidry in 1978) and most innings pitched (14) in a World Series game, on October 9, 1916, a complete game 2-1 victory.
Babe Ruth the "postseason prince": Ruth set World Series records with 3 homers in a game (and did it twice) and 12 total bases in a game. His 15 postseason home runs, all hit during World Series games, were a record until Mickey Mantle tied him in 1963 then eventually passed him in 1964. And let us never forget the 1932 World Series, legendary and debatable still to this day, courtesy of "The Called Shot".
Babe Ruth the "nickname collector": Babe (which some actually believe is his real name due to its use) probably had more well-published nicknames than any other player and here are but a few we have seen in print: The Bambino, The Sultan of Swat, The Colossus of Clout, The Wazir of Wham, The Maharajah of Mash, The Rajah of Rap, The Caliph of Clout, the Behemoth of Bust, The Mammoth of Maul, The Mauling Mastodon, The Mauling Monarch, The Wali of Wollop, and to his teammates, Jidge.
Babe Ruth the "hall of fame legend": Ruth was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on February 2, 1936, by the Baseball Writers Association of America, as part of the inaugural class of inductees. At the time of his induction, Ruth held literally hundreds, and we mean hundreds, of baseball records. The single most prolific hitter in baseball history, a key component in "Murderer's Row" and a charismatic personality — both on and off the field — that made him a larger-than-life figure and one of the greatest sports heroes, not just in baseball, but in American culture.
Babe Ruth is part of an elite set of pitchers in Major League history whose career on the mound spanned at least ten seasons and NEVER once included a losing record! The other aces: Spud Chandler (11 seasons), Dizzy Dean (12 seasons), Dave Foutz (11 seasons), Joe McGinnity (10 seasons), Andy Pettitte (18 seasons), Deacon Phillippe (13 seasons), Jay Powell (11 seasons) and Urban Shocker (13 seasons).

CONCEPTUAL ANALYSIS
“Peopling the Philippines II” shows how the Austronesian / Malayo-Polynesian migrations developed into the different ethnic cultures of the Philippines. Aside from using photographic reference from the late 1900s to the present, De Pio also uses images from the boxer codex, one of the first ethnographic documentations of the different Philippine people, done in 1590. De Pio also writes the names of the native groups both in roman letters, as well as in the traditional script, called baybayin.
“Pre-Hispanic Philippines” is a black and white imagining of life along the coastal kingdoms such as that of Maynila, Namayan, Tondo, Cebu, Butuan, and Sulu. Whereas many of these kingdoms were converted to Islam, their cultures still were strongly a hybrid of older cultures, as well as Chinese influences, whom these chiefdoms had been trading with as early as 900 AD. Other trade relations were also developed with the Siamese, the Viet, the Javanese Majapahit Empire, and the Bornean Srivijaya Empire, among others.
“Galleon Trade” presents the flourishing trade between Manila and Acapulco, Mexico, between 1565 to 1815. The need to explore Asia, which led to the Spanish colonization of the Philippines, was driven by the Europeans’ demand for spices, specifically in India. Although the Spanish did not find India or similar spices in the Philippine archipelago, the wealth of local gold and access to Chinese products proved justification for colonization. The Spaniards spread through the country via the sword, Catholic evangelization, and diplomacy; the latter is best exemplified with the Blood Compact between the conquistador Miguel de Legaspi and Rajah Sikatuna, of Bohol.
“Breaking Colonial Ties II” relates the latter part of the Philippine Revolution (1896-1898), where General Emilio Aguinaldo (1869-1964) took over the revolutionary government, now called the Republic of Biak-na-Bato. Finally there is Aguinaldo’s declaration of Philippine Independence, in June 1898, where he formally unfurled the Philippine Flag in Kawit, Cavite, which was made by Marcela Mariño Agoncillo, aided by her daughter Lorenza and Delfina Herbosa Natividad.
“Re-asserting Independence” presents the battles between the Filipino forces against the Americans, who had snatched victory from the Philippine revolutionaries in 1898. After a brief respite, the Filipinos, under President Emilio Aguinaldo, fought bravely but unsuccessfully during the Philippine-American War of 1899 to 1902. Two of the leading the Filipino commanders of that time were General Antonio Luna de San Pedro y Novicio Ancheta (1866-1899) and General Gregorio Hilario del Pilar y Sempio (1875-1899).
IN CONCLUSION
The exploration of the Philippines' rich history reveals a complex tapestry of cultural evolution, trade, and resistance. From the early Austronesian migrations that laid the foundation for diverse ethnic cultures to the flourishing maritime trade routes established during the Galleon Trade, the Philippines has always been a convergence point of various influences. The interactions with neighboring regions, including China and Southeast Asia, significantly shaped the local cultures, as evidenced by the hybrid identities formed in pre-Hispanic kingdoms. Furthermore, the documentation of these early peoples through works like the Boxer Codex highlights the importance of preserving cultural heritage and acknowledging the roots of Filipino identity. The struggle for independence, as illustrated in the latter part of the Philippine Revolution and the subsequent conflicts with American forces, underscores the resilience and determination of the Filipino people. Figures such as General Emilio Aguinaldo and his commanders exemplify the spirit of resistance against colonial powers, marking a significant chapter in the quest for self-determination. The declaration of Philippine Independence in 1898, coupled with the ongoing fight during the Philippine-American War, illustrates the challenges faced by a nation striving to assert its sovereignty. Ultimately, this historical journey reflects not only the complexities of colonial legacies but also the enduring strength of Filipino identity and the continuous struggle for autonomy and recognition in the face of external pressures.

The Magellan's Cross in Cebu, Philippines, is a significant historical and religious landmark that traces its roots back to the early 16th century. Planted by the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan on April 21, 1521, this wooden cross symbolizes the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines.
According to historical accounts, Magellan presented the cross to Rajah Humabon and his wife Hara Amihan of Cebu as a gift to commemorate their conversion to Christianity. The planting of the cross marked the formalization of the natives' acceptance of the Catholic faith, a pivotal moment in Philippine history.
Over the centuries, the original cross has undergone several transformations. Due to the fear of relic hunters, the original wooden cross is now encased in a hollow tindalo wood cross to preserve it. The Magellan's Cross is housed in a small chapel near the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, one of the oldest Roman Catholic churches in the country.
Today, the site is a popular pilgrimage destination and a historical site for both locals and tourists. It stands as a tangible link to the country's colonial past and serves as a testament to the enduring influence of Spanish colonization on Philippine culture and traditions. The Magellan's Cross remains an iconic symbol of faith and heritage, embodying the enduring spirit of Christianity in the archipelago.

false narratives on caste in India
That there was a tax on lower caste women in the earlier centuries in parts of Kerala is a fact. But that it was meant to prevent them from covering their breasts in particular seems a bit farfetched, as even royal women, including queens, did not cover their breasts in those days. “Not until the 1860s,” says Manu Pillai, historian and author. What the upper castes carried instead was a shoulder cloth denoting their exalted stature.
Before the British imposed their Victorian morality on the region, “covering the torso was not seen as a mark of modesty or virtue for men and women”, continues Pillai. An illustration of the Dutch traveller Johan Nieuhof visiting the QUEEN OF QUILON in the mid-17th century royal court shows her with her UPPER BODY UNCOVERED.
The accounts of Italian visitor Pietro Della Valle, from the same century, refer to, in Pillai’s words, “the ZAMORIN RAJAH’S SISTER AND NIECES who appeared in DURBAR with just silk cloths round their waists, a lot of jewellery, but  NO UPPER COVERING of any kind, not even the shawl...”
This, too, dilutes  the theory of the lowest caste women being forced to remain bare breasted.
The breast tax was not about the breast alone. It was about the entire body. So how  did the breast tax come to be named so?
“Beyond the name it had nothing to do with breasts. It was just to distinguish between the sexes. It has been misunderstood as a tax for the right to cover breasts — there was no such tax,” says Pillai, firmly dismissing the notion of the lower castes being prevented from covering their breasts in Kerala.
J. Devika, a historian at the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, agrees. “Men and women, both were expected to leave their chests open. The upper cloth was a mark of the upper caste.”
Lower castes had to pay to be entitled to their entire bodies, not only a part of it.
But what was mulakkaram? What was its quantum? Which transgressions invited its application?
“We don’t have a lot of records. But it was a normal tax. It was levied on the patita jaati workers,” says Devika. Patita were the fallen women of the lowest castes like Ezhava, adds Devika.
The interesting point is that SIMILAR TAXES WERE LEVIED ON LOWER CASTE MEN, TOO : THE HEAD TAX AND MOUSTACHE TAX,
talakkaram and meeshakkaram respectively; the nomenclature chosen for the male gender.”
Dutch representative William Van Nieuhoff in 17th century writes about the attire of Ashwathi Thirunal Umayamma Rani, then queen of Travancore:
“… I was introduced into her majesty’s presence. She had a guard of above 700 Nair soldiers about her, all clad after the Malabar fashion; the Queens attire being no more than a piece of callicoe wrapt around her middle, the upper part of her body appearing for the most part naked, with a piece of callicoe hanging carelessly round her shoulders”

Maybe this will turn into a friendship, and as for the universe we can be in yours. I think it will be easier for you that way.Aevon replied, stepping closer and looking carefully at her wounds. Aevon replied, stepping closer and looking carefully at her wounds. The most disturbing sight was the burn marks, quite as if the girl had escaped from a fire, or…Then Aevon experienced a vision and saw what had happened to the poor girl. They wanted to burn her alive, on the orders of her father, sacrificed by a cruel witch. She didn't know what gods had created this red-haired witch, but the woman was an evil, cruel monster. Shireen was lucky to have survived, but how much she had to suffer only the good gods knew.
"Of course you can ask for help, I'll be happy to help you," she said. Aevon replied and helped Shireen reach her home. There she led the girl to a guest room and with magic healed all her wounds also old traces of childhood illness. She understood that Shireen could be skeptical when it came to magic, but otherwise the treatment could be very painful and very long. The wounds from the fire could become infected and rot, and could even lead the unfortunate girl to death. Rajah reassured the girl with his deep, pleasant purr.
"You can stay here as long as you want. No one will hurt you here, you are safe here." Aevon said, stroking her tiger's head. "Now rest and warm yourself by the fire and I'll bring you something to eat and drink."
Lost in Another Realm
Shireen was certain that, when she had gone to sleep, it had been in her mother’s arms buried beneath two blankets in Selyse’s deliberately darkened rooms in the depths of Castle Black. Now, though, on waking she found herself quite alone… and outside. Blinking in bewilderment, she gazed about herself as she tried to piece together where she was. The scarred princess did not recognise her surroundings at all, and was further unsettled by how warm it was. Westeros’ winter, even when one took shelter indoors, never allowed for the relative comfort this place was granting her…
What had happened? How had she come to be here?
Was it merely a dream?
After all, her nightmares always felt real; and, she was coming to understand now, there was good reason for that.
Still, in case this was not a vision her mind had conjured for her, she needed to seek help. Her mother, after all, was far too fragile to be left alone for long. Seven Heavens’ knew what the older woman would do to herself if she believed some further ill had befallen her daughter… Frowning in concern, the child clutched her charred stag figurine to herself for comfort, and set off.
“Hello?” she called out, not truly expecting anyone to answer her cry given recent experience, but needing to try anyway. “Hello, is anyone there? Please, I… I need help. I’m lost! Hello?”

caste dominance or discrimination is bad
