womens' body types becoming consumable trends is actually a problem. i love trans people and I absolutely believe that there should be no legal barrier between someone having a body and doing whatever the fuck they want to it.

that does not mean that I think it's a good thing that women worldwide got brazilian butt lifts by the millions because kim k did it with absolutely no fucking clue of the dangers, which include one of the highest fatality rates of any surgery currently on offer. now those same millions of women have to get them removed or poison their own blood. this is a completely avoidable medical trauma that many people are undergoing because it was fun and trendy and everybody was doing it so what's the problem. i really think they should have known that they could die or face lifelong dangers without removal beforehand, and that unfortunately counts as bad-talking plastic surgery.

these are separate things. i want you to be able to get whatever surgery you want and I do not support any legal or procedural means of restriction but that absolutely does not mean that plastic surgery is an angel of a field immune to criticism. they do it for profit and they will exploit people, same as any other industry. there's a river of blood in their wake and while that makes it easy for you to swim, it doesn't mean its right or i support it.
