25 DAYS OF HYPSMAS - DAY 21
"Venom"
Let's do a little visualization exercise, dear listener. Go ahead and follow along with my words, and try to imagine the setting as you read. Let your mind conjure up sounds, feelings, sensations.
Imagine for me that you're in a deep, dense tropical forest, with tall trees and vines surrounding you. The air is muggy and hot, but not uncomfortably so, and a thin blanket of mist curls along the ground in lazy swaths. The sun is gently dappling through the wide leaves above you, prickling your skin with warmth, and all around you, you can hear the chirping of bugs, the distant rushing of a forest creek, and the even further calls of animals. The forest smells of life, of wetness and dead leaves, and like clean water. Take a deep breath for me, in through your nose. You know these smells, and the memory of them can waft through your mind and light up those senses to call them to mind.
As you begin to walk, dead leaves and sticks crunching under your feet, you can't help but feel at peace. Continuing to breathe deeply as you walk, left, right, left, right, passing a fallen tree here, an abandoned animal nest there, the sounds of the forest a comforting backing track.
And suddenly, a new sound is added to the ambient noise. The soft, sibilant slithering of scales over leaves, and the gentle hiss of a forked tongue sliding past teeth.
And yet, you find yourself intrigued rather than surprised. You turn around, and are met with a softly smiling human face, and a pair of warm, inviting, twinkling green eyes that seem to so easily grab your attention with the way that they glint in the sunlight... Seeming to be filled with the same mist blanketing the ground... So easy to just... stare...
As your eyes droop involuntarily, they flick downward, and you notice your new companion's body. A torso and arms like a person, albeit a bit bulkier than what you think the average must be... And from the waist down, a coiling serpent's tail, with a swirling green scales that seemed to shimmer and ripple with each little movement.
A hand cups your chin, helping your gaze back up, and you smile as the eyes catch you once again. You can't help but let out a little shudder as all of that background noise seems to fade away. It's just you and the eyes.
"You're lossssst, aren't you? Ssssssso far from home?"
The voice is like honey, dripping into through your ears and coating your mind in warm sticky goodness. Your new friend's breath warms your face, and the smell of forest sunlight fills your brain. It's so hard to think all of a sudden... so difficult to speak... you can't help but want to hear more. Feel more.
You murmur out a string of stammered affirmatives, which the creature seems to enjoy. It lets out a soft, hissing chuckle, and you can't help but respond with a happy little squeak as its forked tongue reaches out to caress your cheek.
"You could sssssstay with me, if you like..."
Every word from that voice sends shivers rushing up and down your body. Dimly, you notice its coils have begun to wrap up your leg, the tip of its tail tickling the inside of your thigh. With a breathless moan, you spread your legs to allow it easier access if it wants to continue. Whatever these eyes and this voice want, they can have.
And continue it does, pressing up against your most sensitive areas. flicking the very tip of its tail against you firmly. It's surprisingly warm to the touch, and the emerald scales feel so smooth and gentle against your skin. It's moved closer now, and you can see two slightly protruding fangs where its canine teeth would be. Its eyes let you know that it wants to bite you. You expose your neck for it. If it wants to bite you, you want it to bite you.
It chuckles again, and you melt, rocking your hips against the tail with a whimper.
"Well, how can I ssssssay no to that?"
It lowers itself to your neck, and the eyes fill your vision, pulsating forest green. You feel the fangs trace along the tendon in your neck, and you mewl with need. It's not a human sound, more like an animal in heat.
Then the fangs sink deep into you.
There's no pain. Instead an instant, complete euphoria and pleasure spreads from the bite, bringing a comforting warmth and numbness to your body and your mind. Distantly, you register the faint sensation of the fangs pumping something into you, but even that disappears after a second or two.
All there is now is arousal.
You're cumming before you even realize it, your orgasm coating the scales with your pleasure. Even as you cum, you're rocking your hips more feverishly, looking, pleading up at those eyes, as your master looks back down at you, still holding your drooling dumbstruck face in its hand.
"That'sssssss a good pet. Now, follow along... The pleasssssure's jussssst getting ssssstarted..."
It releases you, and you let out a dissatisfied whimper as the coils retract, your master's venom tinging your vision green at the edges. As it begins to slither away into the forest, you follow clumsily, eyes never leaving the swaying, scaly tail.

We need everyone's help right now to protect the rainforest and Indigenous People
The Amazon Rainforest is under a massive threat. I know you've heard this a million times, but this is different. There is a piece of legislation that will decimate the rights of Indigenous people of Brazil, who have been protecting the rainforest. It's unfathomably bad. It has majority support. And they're voting tomorrow. As reported here, the Bill allows "the Brazilian government to find energy resources, set up military bases, develop strategic roads, and implement commercial agriculture on protected Indigenous tribal lands, without any prior discussion with the affected peoples."
The thing you can do—and I know this sounds overly simple—is sign this petition—and tell your friends to do the same: SIGN HERE.
As reported here, the Bill allows "the Brazilian government to find energy resources, set up military bases, develop strategic roads, and implement commercial agriculture on protected Indigenous tribal lands, without any prior discussion with the affected peoples."
Again, this bill has majority support. You may be wondering, why will a petition signed by people who don't live in Brazil make any difference? Because it will give those opposing it political air cover. It will show the world is with them.
But we need a LOT of signatures.
Please do this simple act and spread the word.

Amazon deforestation fell over 50% in 2023 and as of August 2024 it was 46% lower than this time last year.
The Brazilian government has pledged to end Amazon deforestation entirely by 2030 and their current efforts have deforestation approaching the lowest it has been in the last six years.

Good News - June 15-21
Like these weekly compilations? Tip me at $Kaybarr1735! And if you tip me and give me a way to contact you, at the end of the month I'll send you a link to all of the articles I found but didn't use each week!
1. Victory for Same-Sex Marriage in Thailand
“Thailand’s Senate voted 130-4 today to pass a same-sex marriage bill that the lower house had approved by an overwhelming majority in March. This makes Thailand the first country in Southeast Asia, and the second in Asia, to recognize same-sex relationships. […] The Thai Marriage Equality Act […] will come into force 120 days after publication in the Royal Gazette. It will stand as an example of LGBT rights progress across the Asia-Pacific region and the world.”
2. One of world’s rarest cats no longer endangered
“[The Iberian lynx’s] population grew from 62 mature individuals in 2001 to 648 in 2022. While young and mature lynx combined now have an estimated population of more than 2,000, the IUCN reports. The increase is largely thanks to conservation efforts that have focused on increasing the abundance of its main food source - the also endangered wild rabbit, known as European rabbit. Programmes to free hundreds of captive lynxes and restoring scrublands and forests have also played an important role in ensuring the lynx is no longer endangered.”
3. Planning parenthood for incarcerated men
“[M]any incarcerated young men missed [sex-ed] classroom lessons due to truancy or incarceration. Their lack of knowledge about sexual health puts them at a lifelong disadvantage. De La Cruz [a health educator] will guide [incarcerated youths] in lessons about anatomy and pregnancy, birth control and sexually transmitted infections. He also explores healthy relationships and the pitfalls of toxic masculinity. […] Workshops cover healthy relationships, gender and sexuality, and sex trafficking.”
4. Peru puts endemic fog oasis under protection
“Lomas are unique ecosystems relying on marine fog that host rare and endemic plants and animal species. […] The Peruvian government has formally granted conservation status to the 6,449-hectare (16,000-acre) desert oasis site[….] The site, the first of its kind to become protected after more than 15 years of scientific and advocacy efforts, will help scientists understand climatic and marine cycles in the area[, … and] will be protected for future research and exploration for at least three decades.”
5. Religious groups are protecting Pride events — upending the LGBTQ+ vs. faith narrative
“In some cases, de-escalation teams stand as a physical barrier between protesters and event attendees. In other instances, they try to talk with protesters. The goal is generally to keep everyone safe. Leigh was learning that sometimes this didn’t mean acting as security, but doing actual outreach. That might mean making time and space to listen to hate speech. It might mean offering food or water. […] After undergoing Zoom trainings this spring, the members of some 120 faith organizations will fan out across more than 50 Pride events in 16 states to de-escalate the actions of extremist anti-LGBTQ+ hate groups.”
6. 25 years of research shows how to restore damaged rainforest
“For the first time, results from 25 years of work to rehabilitate fire-damaged and heavily logged rainforest are now being presented. The study fills a knowledge gap about the long-term effects of restoration and may become an important guide for future efforts to restore damaged ecosystems.”
7. Audubon and Grassroots Carbon Announce First-of-its-Kind Partnership to Reward Landowners for Improving Habitats for Birds while Building Healthy Soils
“Participating landowners can profit from additional soil carbon storage created through their regenerative land management practices. These practices restore grasslands, improve bird habits, build soil health and drive nature-based soil organic carbon drawdown through the healthy soils of farms and ranches. […] Additionally, regenerative land management practices improve habitats for birds. […] This partnership exemplifies how sustainable practices can drive positive environmental change while providing tangible economic benefits for landowners.”
8. Circular food systems found to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, require much less agricultural land
“Redesigning the European food system will reduce agricultural land by 44% while dramatically reducing greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture by 70%. This reduction is possible with the current consumption of animal protein. “Moreover, animals are recyclers in the system. They can recycle nutrients from human-inedible parts of the organic waste and by-products in the food system and convert them to valuable animal products," Simon says.”
9. Could Treating Injured Raptors Help Lift a Population? Researchers found the work of rehabbers can have long-lasting benefits
“[“Wildlife professionals”] tend to have a dismissive attitude toward addressing individual animal welfare,” [… but f]or most raptor species, they found, birds released after rehabilitation were about as likely to survive as wild birds. Those released birds can have even broader impacts on the population. Back in the wild, the birds mate and breed, raising hatchlings that grow up to mate and breed, too. When the researchers modeled the effects, they found most species would see at least some population-level benefits from returning raptors to the wild.”
10. Indigenous people in the Amazon are helping to build bridges & save primates
“Working together, the Reconecta Project and the Waimiri-Atroari Indigenous people build bridges that connect the forest canopy over the BR-174 road[….] In the first 10 months of monitoring, eight different species were documented — not only monkeys such as the golden-handed tamarin and the common squirrel monkey (Saimiri sciureus), but also kinkajous (Potos flavus), mouse opossums (Marmosops sp.), and opossums (Didelphis sp.).”
Bonus: A rare maneless zebra was born in the UK
