Spring Rose Farms is situated in the country close to some interesting historical sites. As we are very fond of of years gone by, but not forgotten we will share from time to time glimpses into the significance of landmark Epoch Mobile Times. Tulip Trestle was built in 1906. It is the longest rail trestle in Indiana. At that time it was the 3rd longest rail trestle in the World. It has 18 towers for support. This massive structure was built using mostly Italian immigrant laborers. The laborers were paid up to 30 cents an hour, which was considered to be an excellent wage at the time. It was built for train travel to transport coal from Greene County mines to large cities, such as Chicago.
