My Opinion on;

Character in general: I never knew how much i could love a developing, growing and vivid character on tumblr. So much effort and creativity could be set in one blog would be HERE, this Lara. Theres so much stuff to read, theres a lot to learn and i find myself wanting to grasp more on other topics. Even the way that life has affected Lara and more to continue to being, not normal in life, because she is UNIQUE. How they play them: So i followed first on Ultron Rp, and I HAD TO follow on Thanos because damn i ain’t going to loose a great rper that i can sneakily stalk and just admire the depth that she involves and throws at Lara. The Mun: Have i mentioned im super glad i met you before and now even more. Because my Thanos would not be the same, even with there now go on about with the plot created.

Her Father’s Daughter

♔—- Loki was ashamed to admit it, but he really didn’t visit Lyris too often these days. It wasn’t because he didn’t love her. No matter what the girl did to offend him, his family, and all of Asgard, he would always love her. Loki had given birth to her, he raised her, and in a lot of ways, they were very similar. She possessed a lot of his natural poise, his sharp tongue, and his knack for politics. To a degree, she shared similar interests with him and she had a powerful urge to succeed.

     It pained him more than anything, to be in her presence. To see his daughter, a woman who was so very much like him, fall further and further into the pit that she kept digging for herself. He loved her, but he found himself more and more disappointed in her actions, the way she treated Lara and her siblings, and the havoc that she caused for no other reason aside from her childish entitlement.

     The girl had so much potential for greatness, but she kept throwing it away for greed.

     Being around her made him feel like a failure. There were lingering resentments that Loki developed towards his daughter, specifically in the department that, for a while, Asgard praised her as being everything Loki could have been, had he applied himself. It almost seemed like she was his replacement, a better, newer, younger version of him. Mixed with how often she disrespected Lara due to her Midgardian heritage and how she deemed herself better and more worthy than the rest of her siblings. And the way she treated Fenrir... after claiming him to be a monster, she had the audacity to try and exploit him...

     Every time Loki was with Lyris, all he could wonder was where he’d gone wrong. Had he not loved her enough? Had he not spent enough time with her? Had he not put enough effort into what he taught her? Did he fail to instill any values in her whatsoever? He expected his children to stumble and to trip over their own feet from time-to-time. All children did, but Lyris was so much worse than that.

     He hadn’t come to visit her in nearly three months, knowing that if he did, he would only end up arguing with her and end up fueling his own depression and anxiety over the situation. He’d shamefully put as much distance as he could between himself and his daughter while trying to clean up the mess she made of Asgard. Lara, however, spent every single day visiting Lyris in an attempt to show her that she was still loved and wanted.

     Until today, anyway. Lara was a few months into her pregnancy and while she wasn’t growing severely ill as she did during her first pregnancy, she was exhausted. At first, Loki was inclined to stay with her for the evening, but after a bit of contemplation, he felt compelled to visit his daughter in Lara’s place. So, with the promise that he would be back as soon as he could and a kiss to Lara’s forehead, he excused himself and made his way down into the dungeons. The hour was much later than when Lara would usually visit and upon stepping off the final step of the winding staircase and moving towards Lyris’ cell, he was shocked to find her in such a condition.

     Pacing the cell with a concerned and almost fearful look upon her features, Lyris looked... Well, she looked like Loki when Loki was on the verge of some sort of emotional breakdown. Loki hadn’t seen Lyris so distressed since she was first removed from power, but why? Usually, she just looked angry as she glared at any passerby who crossed in front of her cell, but now she looked more upset than she did angry.

     ‘Because Lara didn’t come to see her today?’ Loki thought.

     “Good evening, Lyris,” Loki called to her after clearing his throat. He stepped up to her cell, ascended the few stairs that brought him up to the platform her cell rested upon, and briefly dropped the forcefield so he could enter. Once he was inside, the shield reknitted itself back together. “I’m sorry for the lateness of the hour, but... I wanted to see you.”

i’ll be honest, i didn’t know much about lara at first. i had seen one of the movies at one point but that’s about it. i started following you on a whim bc i saw that lana was writing with you. it was a great thread, from what i remember, as lara had brought back sansa from a bar i think?? anyway, so i went in blind and the more i’ve learned, which hasn’t been much compared to everything that’s out therein the games and their lore, the more i started to like her. i really do enjoy lara as she’s a one-of-a-kind character and it’s always exciting when you find people like that, when you find characters who really are their own person. but you & lara have definitely made me more interested in the games for sure xD
