feeling kind of sad knowing that i probably wouldn't get mother's day well wishes. i don't know. i mean, yeah the canon version of me kind of sucked but. my timeline was different. and i love my kids and i miss them and hope they're doing well. i hope they know mom loves them. it pains me to think that they might be out there somewhere without someone to take care of them. now that i am typing this it seems stupid. but. say la vee.

very strange, being canon divergent only from a certain part of the story. my son did not erase the records of his existence from irminsul. he returned home, and we became a family again.

it saddens me that i miss my children so much, but the "canonical" version of my son wants nothing to do with me. i cannot even have the reassurance of his company in the game.

i'm not sure when chronologically it happened, aside from being after kunikuzushi came home to stay. but miko and i had a lovely child, our daughter we named hanako. she was a bit of a handful, being a kitsune-god child, but she got along well with kuni. i believe i even consulted ayaka to ask how to best teach a child sword art, since i felt it would be an important family tradition to pass down, though i'm not sure if it went anywhere.

we later had another child as well, though neither of us can remember their name. that saddens me, but i can't force it. it'll come to me eventually.

buer, i'd like to apologize for my initial resentment towards you. i think you could imagine how distressing it was to have my son appear on my doorstep grievously injured, and having been told he was previously under your care i mistakenly assumed you were the cause.

i came to realize that there was some repairs that you would have realistically been unable to make, and i would like to thank you for how much you DID do to keep him alive. i know it is not your fault he ran away before you could get him to a stable condition. you have my sincerest gratitude for all you did for our family.

i recall the taste of amakumo fruit quite well. they tasted like strawberry lemonade, and had a feeling in the mouth like a mix between pineapple and pop rocks. quite delicious. no wonder they're my regional specialty.

hm, i suppose this counts for canon fables?

back when makoto and i were young, she liked to interact with humans in person while i preferred to watch them from afar. one time, it was raining and i was watching a lonely blacksmith at his workshop. he saw me watching, invited me in, and taught me about forging.

back then it sparked folktales— things like how you should treat apprentices well in case they were the electro god (there were no archons yet) in disguise. the event also led to a boom in the blacksmithing industry, and is the main reason i gained interest in weaponmaking.

i find it a bit silly, but fun to look back on. it's not often i recall things from that early in my life.

i'm excited for fontaine, but the trailer has struck me with unease. it feels a little silly, almost. in this world there is no celestia to send a divine nail and strike my nation down. there is no inazuma to strike. yet i'm still afraid.

after i watched the trailer i went to learn what happened to the previous hydro archon. another casualty of celestia's hubris. sickening.
